This is a clip from my podcast Some Dumb Gaijin #24. Were I talk to Tyrone about how Japanese comedy pushes the boundaries but it wasn't until recently where people said it went too far and the famous Matsumoto Hitoshi got his New (ish) show ”Freeze" cancelled by literally stabbing someone!

youre extremely exaggerating that kuro-chan freeze story. he wasnt cut with the knife, the drone tumbled on his head and the rotor blades cut him lightly. there was no blood dripping down his face, there were just a few drops on the 2 small cuts themselves. sure it hurt, but there never was any danger. the knife was very obviously a dull prop
Was enough to get the show axed.
And it stands as a testament of how the senpai kohai ideology in japan, allow for bullying and psychological abuse. Kuro-chan obviously didnt want to do this stunt, but if he didn't you an bet his career would end.
@@JJWalters was it though? cause it happened in the first episode of the first season and there was still a second season. couldve been covid or low viewer numbers too.
