As one of the organiser of the first hour, we wanted a run for all british (and Polish and US) transport that came to 'Arnhem' by air. No unit in particular, but the bicycles enabled would be collectors com re-enactors to participate actively. It was to start after the ceremony on the Ginkel Heath, the second lift DZ and LZ's. No specific unit was in focus when we started in 1992. Nor did we foresee this enormous success. So well done on the people who keep our Race to the Bridge flag flying.

Thanks a lot Sir for the nice comment.It is important to remember the actions of the first Airborn Division at Arnhem.Those troops involved set a standard of courage wich is difficult to surpas, and the deserve our utmost respect.
