Jeanne, if you watch this video at minute 12:37 you will see what I use. You can basically use any type of paper if you glue it on the glass that will keep it from becoming wavy. ua-cam.com/video/dN_J32iM7fI/v-deo.html

Hi what size gsm paper is best for outlining the letters? are they just standard stripes or do you use something stronger?

+Marianne Goode I used 180 gsm paper, but the 160 gsm one is more flexible and easy to use. I cut these strips with a cutter. The standard strips are too thin (I think they are 80 gsm or less)

I use elmer's glue too but it doesn't stick well like yours D:

It also depends on the paper too. Some types of paper absorb the glue better and it sticks faster. You need to hold for a few seconds though...
