Best Brand of Grow Lights for your Money? Using Different Kinds for Houseplants
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 чер 2024
- Scouring the web for houseplant grow lights is quite daunting! I've purchased dozens of different artificial lights from dozens of different brands. Sometimes I stumble on a good one, other times I waste money on junky ones. It makes learning how to use grow lights for indoor plants even more challenging.
I was recently in contact with Sansi LED #sansi to review a few of their grow lights to see how I like them and if they are a good value for our money. So in this video I showcase the four kinds they sent me and speak to what I like and dislike about each of them. Overall I'd very satisfied with these new grow lights and I am certain my indoor plants are happy too! #sansiled #growlights #houseplants

Well, if you really wanna find lights to be useful for your plants you have to forget these LEDs (ok, this vid might be a payed collaboration ... :) ).
You would install proper lights, you need a few 10s of thousands of lumen for it. these bulbs come with an E40 sized screw socket that makes them harder to install as you need extra stuff for it (for example the Agrolite CFL bulbs) . There are MH lights (Metal-halide) lights for growing, CMH (ceramic metal halide) lights wth more red spectrum that you can use for flowering as well. Or there are the HPS (high pressure sodium steam) lights for flowering - i use a 400 Watt HPS light, that gives 58.000 lumens, literally enough for many schlumbergera cuttings, crapemyrlte and rose cuttings and the 6' tall hibiscus tree flowers all year constantly with it - you can put plumerias under it and the throw buds out straight away, if you don't put them into winter sleep (or wake them up in January)
Of course, having these ones is more expensive, you need a special transformator as well but the plants are much more happy with them, with a timer electric plug it's enough to use them 4-5 hours a day.
But very dangerous to look into the light of them. Really. i almost got blind when i installed it for the first time.
Dang dude it sounds like you have a greenhouse inside your home! i would love to see your set up. you've certainly got a system going
Learned a lot ! Thank you. Love this type of video. Side note… love that chair…is it a Stressless brand and if so, do you remember the style and color name? Such a beautiful room.
Thank you!! I actually got that chair as a gift so I’m not sure!
whats the hanging cactus called id like to buy one.
hmm im not sure which one you are talking about
Can I grow radish inside?
Root veggies should probably be grown outside but worth experimenting
I live in a condo. hmmm ok
