Damn, I went to school with that dude! (roxrite). I remember him breaking in the hallways in between classes. Awesome to see that he made it all the way to the top. Props, Omar.
i remember roxrite sayin he didnt know why the fans were still cheerin for lilou after he won. respct to him he's good man just lilou's in his home country lol they all want him and benny to win.
Roxrite definitely deserved that. He was clean with his moves although not as flashy as lilou but had a better solid style. Lilou on the other hand was killing it as well. imo he took the second round and couldve won if he dint repeat his continuous thread combo and if he dint crash a few of his moves in the first and third round. Understandable why it was a controversial battle. Props to both the bboys. Amazing battle even after rewatching it after 8 years☺
The Red Bull BC One is a classic event thats amazing to me I watched all of them from 2004 to currently One day I will at a Red Bull BC event having a great time.
Roxrite will jeep killin'em. He stays true to the bboy roots and foundations. May he keep being blessed with the most epic skills on the planet. Bboy Luigi is right there with him.
Here's the thing...both showed good footwork, power, and some toprock. So lets assume they were close in those categories. But, Lilou didn't do a single freeze. I say this because even when he did an airchair or other freeze-type move, he just rolled right through it. Yeah the constant motion looks good and all, but maybe try actually freezing the last one to show you can really control it. Roxrite, on the other hand, is all about the clean freeze. So there's your victor.
@TantalizedSerentiy i do not know if this the real music in this battle..ok?I just want to know if in every battle that is uploaded on youtube has the real music...
Why am I seeing people posting comments hatin on Roxrite? Dude's got impeccable flow and an impressive resume from years on the floor. Think about this...Lilou, in every round, brought out a host of his more explosive signature moves in attempts to beat Rox. He happened to crash and repeat (often suicidal) and that's what cost him. My point is if Lilou respects him enough to play it that hard, then you damn well should too. Peace
Very unlucky for Lilou, he was very fluid and was deffinitely giving it his all with his massive array of moves and variation. Roxrite is a great bboy none the less but I think this battle was slightly more in favor of Lilou's "Fresh" performance
lilou is much more explosive, and this is where it gets tricky cuz he simply crashes a lot and his last run was repeating what he did before with a bad crash at the end and no point made. Roxrite played it safe, he was strategic> keep it simple and clean. So i agree that he ísn't the most energetic type to watch, but he's smart by compensating his technical skill with his cleaness and flavour.
@RockedSolid Roxrite wasn't even slow. That footwork is plenty quick. If you go too fast with footwork, it will begin to look sloppy and you won't be able to tell what the person is actually doing. But I do agree with you, Roxrite was so smooth and fresh in this event, I would LOVE to see him back in it for 2011.
very true, roxrite is original with his flavor, and is oh so clean, he just rocks right. lilou is my fav bboy but i believe he could've done better, he held back his better sets. also i hate the judges way of determining the winner. top bboys of the world deserve better judging than just one namecard
theres two ways you could judge this, one of them lilou would win, and the other roxrite would win. if your judging on purely amazing shit and out of this world moves, lilou wins. if your judging on actual full performance, execution and what not. roxrite wins. im a huge lilou fan... but roxrite ripped it. flawless performance and his freeze's are very nice. hats off to him
Song are Night of the Wolf by Esperanto and Sunday Afternoon by Butta. Just ignore bobommc13, he's obviously a troll, and his age is probably equal to or less than the number in his username.
yea you are right, his threading is pretty damn unbelievable. i think what lost it for him was the last set he had... it was kinda sloppy. then again lilou does that sometimes. it seems like as of late lilou tries too hard, gets ahead of himself... and sometimes loses me on what he is doing.
Well you got to different styles when it comes with Lilou and Roxrite. Roxrite says his style "picture freeze frame". And Lilou is just crazy with his threads and just his energy. Lilou should've won but i just love Roxrite's smoothness and no crashing
well he won red bull bc one one 2005 and a lot of competitions all over the world he has a musicality, creativity and an energy that only 5 or 6 other bboys have, he's world famous for his skills and signature moves...imao i think he should have won because both bboys repeated their stuff: Roxrite was cleaner but he did headstands...Lilou's sets gave me something more in my opinion. He may have a bad attitude but he's definetly one of the rawest styleheads ever seen
why so many hate against roxrite? he's a very respected bboy, hella clean and with a great style, why so many ppl are calling him boring? btw his moves arent simple, he makes em look simple because he executes em perfectly. Hes not one of my fav bboys, actually I used to like more lilou, but I think that rox took this one, lilou is creative, but he's rpetitive, even with his varietions, and too sloppy, not sayin his moves are easy, but this was one of his worst battles. Respect to both bboys.
the sound of crowd is added... same as the beat. it doesn't mean anything. Red Bull always do it on there dvds not to pay the rights for the beats. Peace
Lilou had harder moves, but was more repetitive and lacked decent footwork from what I can tell in this battle. Roxrite wasn't pulling moves that were as difficult as Lilou, but he had better foundation and thus his dance as a whole had more variation and completeness.
The Song is called "Night Of The Wolf" by Esparanto I'm a style head myself. I'm not 2 crazy on powermoves but i believe the best bboys have a wellrounded combo of style, power, rhythm and timing wit there moves, and they gotta incorporate all 4 elements of bboying(Toprock, Footwork, Powermoves & Freezes) no matter wat ur style is, 2 much of anything loses points. Ronnie & Taisuke and my favorites but Lilou shud of won. Roxrite isn't all that n Ppl need to hop of Hong 10 cuz he aint all that.
it doesnt matter if its harder. keep in mind bboying is a dance more than anything and being cleaner you are shows how much you have in respect to the dance. sure lilou is dope. he is. but as you said, he fell. he did repeat. But if you look at roxrite closely he does headstands we call freezes in the dance we call bboying and everytime he goes up there he throws a something clean and unique. take a sloppy mill vs a cleanly excuted 6 step. Which won would you put your money on? which is harder?
Damn, I went to school with that dude! (roxrite). I remember him breaking in the hallways in between classes. Awesome to see that he made it all the way to the top. Props, Omar.
awesome man
@@Thumbprint2009 he really is greatness isn’t he? So unique!
1:11 genial
Impossivel Roxrite vencer Lilou.
Was thinking about this battle the other day…had to come back and watch it again
i remember roxrite sayin he didnt know why the fans were still cheerin for lilou after he won. respct to him he's good man just lilou's in his home country lol they all want him and benny to win.
sure hes good but roxrite didn't repeat anything when he was going
LOVE lilou! both were great
LO QUE HACE ROXRITE LO HAGO EN MI CALENTAMIENTO 😂😂😂 LO QUE HACE LILOU IMPOSIBLE 🤯🤯🤯🤯
1° Round: Roxrite

Concordo com vc
the judges also paid close attention to what both were doing, mad props to them
roxrite 2011 champion, congratulations u deserve it
Roxrite definitely deserved that. Amazing battle even after rewatching it after 8 years☺
zeeshan sajid Easiest moves in the whole competition
Easy moves, Slow Moves, Naturally CLEAN MOVES
I do favor Lilou, however, in this match he repeated some moves. Also, you've gotta admit, Roxrite is damn smooth. He makes his shit seem effortless.
LIlou muito foda!!!
Roxrite bboy limpo
Estilo mais original que já vi
Ngm entende as vitorias do Roxrite, estilo duro e sofrido, o batedor, matidas, melhor interprets
First Song: Esperanto - The Night of the Wolf

can somebody please tell me the name od the song ? ^^
You can tell back then ppl only dig the fancy stuff. But its always been about style. And Roxrite killed that shit !
So why did Lilou win in 2005.. crash after crash.. and sloppy.. ?
Shredboy1 idk im not a judge. Ask them
Shredboy1 Yeah that shit was hella cheap and undeserved. felt he lost every match. Physicx shuda moved on

Where can i find the 3rd place battle,,, hong 10 vs lilou at red bull bc one 2007,,,,,
they didn't do it

@WideVariety1 i agree with you but he didnt repeat the same sequence of airchairs at 2:09. -_-"
What is the move at 1:13 called? The one that is like a butterfly twist.....I need it there is a guy that can do it and i want to do it too....
yo wats the name of the second song after night of the wolf?
what is the song?

love this song, anyone has the name for it ?
Very unlucky for Lilou, he was very fluid and was deffinitely giving it his all with his massive array of moves and variation.
Roxrite is a great bboy none the less but I think this battle was slightly more in favor of Lilou's "Fresh" performance
lilou is much more explosive, and this is where it gets tricky cuz he simply crashes a lot and his last run was repeating what he did before with a bad crash at the end and no point made. So i agree that he ísn't the most energetic type to watch, but he's smart by compensating his technical skill with his cleaness and flavour.
@ramos1623 isnt it a gainer twist?
Repeating a move isn't necessarily bad. Repetition is one of the five important elements. The other four being, Levels, Dynamics, Space and Direction.
@RockedSolid
Roxrite wasn't even slow. That footwork is plenty quick. If you go too fast with footwork, it will begin to look sloppy and you won't be able to tell what the person is actually doing.
But I do agree with you, Roxrite was so smooth and fresh in this event, I would LOVE to see him back in it for 2011.
whats this beat clled in the 1st round
im afraid ur gonna have to download it, borrow it, or buy it from itunes
lilou got cool style cloths to me it looks comfortable and fun to wear lol
Absolutely! I really can't see how Roxrite possibly won this!
So much animosity and anger on all the bc one videos XD
very true, roxrite is original with his flavor, and is oh so clean, he just rocks right. lilou is my fav bboy but i believe he could've done better, he held back his better sets.
also i hate the judges way of determining the winner. top bboys of the world deserve better judging than just one namecard

crazy battle
song name please
o thnx bro
Canción Nº1: Esperanto - Night Of The Wolf
La 2ª no se cual es. The song Nº2 I don´t know.
Where are the beats????
lilou muito foda!!!!
theres two ways you could judge this, one of them lilou would win, and the other roxrite would win.
if your judging on purely amazing shit and out of this world moves, lilou wins.

im a huge lilou fan... but roxrite ripped it. flawless performance and his freeze's are very nice. hats off to him
Song are Night of the Wolf by Esperanto and Sunday Afternoon by Butta.
Just ignore bobommc13, he's obviously a troll, and his age is probably equal to or less than the number in his username.
maaaaan what is the first song they play called?
anyone knows which track is the last one??
lilou deserves a lot of credit. If you watch back to back roxrite and physics break very similarly.
yea you are right, his threading is pretty damn unbelievable.
i think what lost it for him was the last set he had... it was kinda sloppy. then again lilou does that sometimes.
it seems like as of late lilou tries too hard, gets ahead of himself... and sometimes loses me on what he is doing.
Lilou had the better game plan, but did not execute it to his best.
Roxrite had a good game plan, and executed it very well. That's why he won.
@Footylala was that mean?
roxrite is clean and crisp, differnt techs every set. its not as physically dynamic , but it works for his style.
as they are called songs?
please
Well you got to different styles when it comes with Lilou and Roxrite. Roxrite says his style "picture freeze frame". And Lilou is just crazy with his threads and just his energy. Lilou should've won but i just love Roxrite's smoothness and no crashing
oh man..Lilou had this
which the name of the beat????
For all you cats that don't know.
Roxrite is one of the dopest bboys out there. Both were dope
well he won red bull bc one one 2005 and a lot of competitions all over the world

Yes, Lilou was very diverse in his messy sets.
wats the song first one?
I totally agree with u man..Lilou was wayy entertaining to watch..
why so many hate against roxrite? he's a very respected bboy, hella clean and with a great style, why so many ppl are calling him boring? btw his moves arent simple, he makes em look simple because he executes em perfectly. The oldest debate in breaking. Harder stuff with a few crashed or easier stuff and clean. This debate WILL NEVER STOP. IMO, I like the former.
The Song is called "Night Of The Wolf" by Esparanto

@SprintRocket night of the wolf - esperanto and sunday afternoon - butta
In most battles, the cleaner/more on point bboy who usually wins. Roxrite is really good at being clean and on point.
@JBWKZ2018 lilou had much freeze that all the breakers in the world , if you are not sure buy the game "b boy" psp or ps2 to confirm it
Well his style is more technical cuz its his style.
Its smooth, clean, no crashing, and he does his freezes uniquely. its his "picture frame" style
if you listen to the drum beat and watch roxrites leg kicks and shape you can tell why they gave the match to him
it doesnt matter if its harder. keep in mind bboying is a dance more than anything and being cleaner you are shows how much you have in respect to the dance. sure lilou is dope. he is. but as you said, he fell. he did repeat.
