Not yet but it will come. That might change the market stalemate we have at present to get prices down which can only happen if we buy EVs, tho the infrastructure isn't great in fact awful. Hybrids are the link to get us all to use electric in part.
@@seltaeb3302 that's the reason. Im still the ev locally and close cities and petrol to long range guy and 2-3km ramges are jokingly low at this point in hybrids.

You know what the sad part is? Us romanians seem to be the only ones that don't like it which makes me sad. It seems ieverywhere else gets positive reviews, except for Romania.
Because it's this stupid mentality that Dacia used to be bad in the old days, and we always bought second hand cars from Germany, like the VW group and bmws. I hear romanian say all the time something like "instead of buying a dacia for 28 thousand I can buy a second hand audi a6 full option from 2016." At least Dacia gets some love outside of Romania, this new design rocks.
@@cristi0291feels the same as russians say about LADA. Except that Dacia has much better overall quality (Renault once made Dacia Duster, Logan and Stepway in Russia under the Renault brand but finished after the war started).

The all ev is pretty much dead soon, as there are other far more strong and environmentally friendly engines on their way, such as Toyota's new one. The engines presented here are too small, too lacking in power, for example for towing, and the hybrid one is simply not interesting. I have nowhere to charge it. And exploding hybrids and all ev's are daily these days. More ferries, more restrictions as to where you are allowed to drive it. And a LOT higher insurance. So forget that. The old Dacia Duster had a partially nicer interior. The new one is okay'ish in places, but looks terrible in others. The outer looks really good and is a huge upgrade. The roof rails do not work as well as the old one. The phone holder is ugly as ...., and the interior roof liner and shape is simply terrible. I also want to know crash tests, how many air bags and so on. And I went to a local Danish Dacia dealership and asked about spares for both the old one and this new one, and he basically said forget it. Can't get them. Not even a rear screen wiper arm. The organisation at least in Denmark is really really bad and the present importer with Renault too, shouldn't be allowed. Dacia needs to work on this now, and really fast. That will prevent people from buying their cars. No spares?... Too bad Dacia, I go somewhere else. I had really been looking forward to this new generation of Duster, but while Dacia gained on exterior looks, they lost a lot on engines and interior. And could we PLEASE get a propper instrumentation, not a stupid screen! As for the row of buttons, that's all good, but Dacia has to make direct distinctions between the buttons, so you DON'T have to look at the buttons to chose the right one, but can concentrate on driving. That is a general problem with cars these days. Just out of curiosity, I also went to Land Rover and looked at their 400 hp petrol new 90 Defender. 10 times more expensive and more, but that also lacks in places. And spares? Forget it. Delivery? Forget it. And Toyota's new model aren't here for a long time. And btw. even Toyota's legendary mechs are loosening it. Not the old reliability any more. What I want is a genuine 4x4 with a 200+ hp engine and high and low gears Duster. And higher suspension. To the presenter_ you should show the sleeping rear space. And we want to know how it performs off-road? Come on Dacia, you can do that! Kind regards.
My current 1.3 130tce has similar low down torque to the diesel 1.5 model, which is great for towing my caravan. I would like to see the torque figures for the Hybrid 140 model as the previous 1.6 naturally aspirated model didnt make a good towcar.
We've got the tech specs in our review here: www.completecar.ie/car-reviews/article/Dacia/Duster/Duster_Hybrid_140_(2024)/2330/13235//2024-Dacia-Duster-Hybrid-140-(2024)-review.html
Wow, the torque is way down on my 1.3 plus the towing weight is useless for even a tiny caravan. Think it's a no no for me, but thanks for providing the data.
@@CompletecarIe Yes, but with the hybrid priced at 31 k Euro incl VAT, it's no longer a budget car, and if you don't get the hybrid ? the only choice is a 3 cyl moped engine. The Duster is destroying itself. It won't sell anymore outside of Europe. Who's going to buy a 30 k Euro car in Africa ? They are losing the market segment and cheaper cars will be imported from India, Japan and China instead.
Unpopular opinion (probably) here but I was looking to upgrade my current 2015 Duster and got into one of these new ones. The interior feels cheaper than my 2015 model. The steering wheel leather feels extremely shoddy (mine feels truly like leather... this one feels like plastic). The overwhelming grey tones drive home the cheap feel of everything - by contrast mine, which is mostly black inside with white ceiling, feels much better visually and to the touch. Even the plastics on the dashboard and doors feel recycled/thin in this new one, and the doors themselves work mostly on plastic hinges vs metal in mine. Really I had a feeling of complete and utter shitty quality from the interior of this one - everything is awful and bad, even for Dacia standards.
@@ЕвгенийИванов-ч7н yes no problem, in terms of looking it does look better, but actually being inside is much much different. Everything feels cheaper than mine, and mine is 10 years old almost.
Good but still not good enough, especially with this outdated 1.6 engine which is very noisy at higher speeds. Could be better if offered with the 1.0 lt turbo engine but I guess this would be costly although even this one is not considered budget anymore. However, nice design.
The black piller thing on the door just looks like a to be sprayed patch. Really spoils its design. The alloys look confused. Their new front look across the range is a winner, with their new logo, you almost feel its a Discovery coming toward you, sadly the front doors are spoilt as said. Youve got a job to hear any really bad comments. They do need to have all round air bags, that is a basic now. Why would you put 5 kids in the back of a Jogger & have them wiped out in a side impact. Comments seem to ignore this surprises me really. This really matters, got kids then dont buy the Dacia till they sort this. We go on about Lane Assist yet no rear curtain air bags.

I'm getting seriously fed up of car reviewers doing the 'scratchy plastics' thing with their fingernails. How often do you suddenly decide, while you're driving along, to start scratching your fingernails on surfaces you don't actually need to touch, then shout, 'Oh, I wish I'd blown an extra seven grand on something else just because it's got a VW badge on it.' Which is great if you enjoy watching your hideously overpriced German P.O.S. getting winched onto the back of a recovery vehicle...
Hopefully they resist that for years but looking unlikely. I used to like berlingos until Citroen made it fully electric, sales plummeted to zero. As they had stopped the ICE version they created issues. Due to absolutely zero EV sales they were forced to bring out the diesel/petrol again but had to be released as a commercial. They have completely destroyed the Berlinger, I hope this does not happen to the duster. But Dacia have said they will hold out as long as possible and use the spring to meet the ridiculous 22% mandates.
It's not happening yet, Dacia plans to wait for the technology to become more affordable before introducing electric versions. This is why it only offers the Spring as its EV option.
Its ugly as hell. Not criticising build or quality but some of the styling looks lego in its DNA and unnecessarily fussy detailng and colour combos. Uber plastic lego ouzes wherever you turn your head I am still not convinced by the electic/lithium battery argument. It is simply not a green solution as is claimed.
Took me a while to realize that when the gentleman sais Bosch he actually means “but” )))
Price?
is there a diesel non electric dacha
No more diesel options with the new Duster
Where was this review filmed?
Malaga, Spain.
It was filmed in outside Malaga in Spain.
Looks great, sound great but ncap?
It hasn't been tested yet.
None of the range has rear curtain airbags, 5 kids in a Jogger & no bags. Not good enough, if you value your kids don't buy one until they change it. It's not that expensive.
You know what the sad part is? Us romanians seem to be the only ones that don't like it which makes me sad. It seems ieverywhere else gets positive reviews, except for Romania.
Why is that?
Vorbește în numele tău!!!
@@cristi0291my mother have a 1.generation DACIA duster in 14 years no problems. Now I'm looking for a bigger car and this DACIA Duster is so beatifull and the hybrid 140 is top for my use in the city. so yes we in the other countrys love it😊
The all ev is pretty much dead soon, as there are other far more strong and environmentally friendly engines on their way, such as Toyota's new one.
WHEN IT WILL LUNCH IN INDIA,WAITING
Does this one have 4x4?
No, this one is one front-wheel drive.
Manuell 4x4
Așa de bine ai vandut masina incat am bagat mana in buzunar dupa bani !😅
no prices?
27-28k€ for the maxed out version. Give or take.
Pricing won't be confirmed until closer to its launch.
@@CompletecarIe I can litteraly order one now in Romania for that price.
It's a lovely car but not cheap any more, which was the entire point of buying a Dacia
The price is up by 40 % since 2022. ( hybrid not included )
Prices of almost all cars has increased a lot in recent years.
I cannot agree with you at all. The new interior looks a way better, rigid and more modern than the previous one
@@ЕвгенийИванов-ч7н yes no problem, in terms of looking it does look better, but actually being inside is much much different. Everything feels cheaper than mine, and mine is 10 years old almost.
Ohhhhh, controversial, the Dacia Mafia are heading your way!
I wonder how reliable it is compared to a toyota ? If it had that kind of proven reliability i would buy one tomorrow.
The 1.6 aspirational is the real worry
I like the whole look but that Transmission gear looks too tiny.
It's small, but it doesn't need to be any larger than it is.
amzing car!!
It's very good!
Good but still not good enough, especially with this outdated 1.6 engine which is very noisy at higher speeds. Could be better if offered with the 1.0 lt turbo engine but I guess this would be costly although even this one is not considered budget anymore. However, nice design.
Swoooon ❤
Price
Still waiting for it to be officially confirmed.
Like it 👍👍👍👍
: )
Possibly the worst and dumbest decision they could make was not having a 4x4 automatic.
Looks great and would love one....but no diesel so it will be a no for me...☹️
A lot of people are missing the option of a diesel now.
But diesel has been given the old heave too now, like it or not.
So it’s not an off road vehicle now
Why an ugly phoneholder when it offers wireless Apple CarPlay? Great video, thank you.
you can remove it.. its optional thing
It can just be removed.
no cd player
Hard to find a CD player in any new car these days.
Yeah, it's being replaced by a vinyl comeback, so expect decks to be in the frump.
Dacia getting too posh just like Skoda a decade ago. 😬
No reason for Dacia to not offer a 5-20hp rear electric motor in the back axle on the hybrid for those who think they need or want AWD
@@toyotaprius79 5 - 20 hp rear axle will not make it AWD nor 4wd, It is shame that they went away from quite good 4WD to that. It already started to be a good option for overlanding in Europe but now back to well... nothing? Disco is not worth it, land cruiser 60k at least then you basicly have nothing of worth below that, maybe new FJ cruiser but doubt.
Yep
Skoda got the money from VAG to do whatever they want. Seat/Cupra is doing the same rn
MG is more better
HS or ZS beter Quality Price !
Sad thing it was the budget that people were interested in value for money I’ve had several 4x4 diesel duster from new one written off at 240k miles and one I have just now is on 190k . Are these overpriced models worth it now I wonder
I'm getting seriously fed up of car reviewers doing the 'scratchy plastics' thing with their fingernails. How often do you suddenly decide, while you're driving along, to start scratching your fingernails on surfaces you don't actually need to touch, then shout, 'Oh, I wish I'd blown an extra seven grand on something else just because it's got a VW badge on it.' Which is great if you enjoy watching your hideously overpriced German P.O.S. getting winched onto the back of a recovery vehicle...
great example of anti china cars invasion defense - a lot of a car for good money
"Boz"? or But?
3 ⭐️ in Euro NCAP is BAD.
The engines make me not buy this car, but Volvo EX30 cross country, when it will be available in few months (and we have one EX30 allready!)
a chinese car? Jezus.
I'm so skeptical and disappointed by the engines that I cry over the design.
What
@@alanclarke8069I'm guessing they are a diesel/anti electric Brazil nut.
no diesel not interested
We hear you
The only good looking Duster i would say.. , they got it right..
We love the design
Apart from no rear airbags, that's a big wrong.
So basically, don’t help us country folk, bad darts 😢, thank god for nobby
Where is the Dacia Duster EV?
This is why it only offers the Spring as its EV option.
shut up and take my money :)
That spoils the whole side. Stupid Roms.
Not a fan?
Well this hybrid version is not that cheap.. id rather get a corolla cross hybrid for about the same price
I don't know where you live, but Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid starts from 35,300€ in my country, while the new Duster Hybrid starts from 26,650€ ...
That’s like saying I would rather have a Range Rover at the same price…it doesn’t exist.
WTF are you talking about??? The Corolla Cross price is twice the price of the Duster.
Corolla Cross, apart from the ugly nose which is a personal preference, can't pull a trailer above 750kgs. That actually surprised me.
Its ugly as hell. Not criticising build or quality but some of the styling looks lego in its DNA and unnecessarily fussy detailng and colour combos. Uber plastic lego ouzes wherever you turn your head
I am still not convinced by the electic/lithium battery argument. It is simply not a green solution as is claimed.
Would like to see this off road but I need an auto not manual due to an injury.
Its not drawing me in
