  • In this video, we'll be diving into the world of ShotKam, the innovative learning tool designed to elevate your shooting skills. Today, we'll compare the features of ShotKam's third-generation model to its latest fourth-generation counterpart, helping you make an informed decision for your shooting journey.
    ShotKam is a unique video camera that mounts under the barrel of your shotgun, providing valuable insights into your shooting technique. It allows you to review precise barrel movements and understand why you missed your shots. This makes it an indispensable tool for shooters of all levels, from beginners to seasoned enthusiasts.
    Let's kick off the comparison with ShotKam Gen 3. This model boasts Full HD video recording, perfect for capturing the nuances of your shooting sessions. It offers a generous battery life of up to five hours, providing ample time for practice. The fixed 4x zoom enables you to review your shots with clarity, while the built-in WiFi allows for instant feedback through your smartphone. With a 64GB internal memory, you'll have plenty of space to store your shooting videos.
    On the other hand, we have ShotKam Gen 4, the cutting-edge option for those seeking top-notch technology. Gen 4 takes your shooting experience to new heights with its 4K video recording, delivering stunningly sharp footage. Its extended battery life of up to 15 hours ensures you can practice for longer sessions without interruptions. The adjustable 8x zoom feature allows you to focus on specific details during playback, helping you identify areas for improvement with ease. Moreover, the Gen 4 offers a more spacious 128GB memory, ensuring you never run out of storage space. Its 2x faster WiFi guarantees quicker and smoother connectivity for seamless data transfer.
    Analyzing your shots with ShotKam is a breeze. While you can see the pellets in the video, it's more effective to focus on the movements leading up to the shot. By replaying the footage in slow motion, you can pinpoint errors in your form, gun mounting, or lead, leading to better performance and accuracy.
    One important consideration is calibrating the reticle. Should you calibrate to the point of aim or point of impact? It's recommended to calibrate to the point of aim, which is where your gun is aimed or the bead of the gun. This ensures that you imprint the correct sight picture into your mind for consistent shooting.
    The versatility of ShotKam is noteworthy, as it works seamlessly with shotguns, bows, and rifles. Different attachments are available for different firearms, making it compatible with various shooting disciplines.
    In conclusion, whether you opt for ShotKam Gen 3 or Gen 4, you're investing in a powerful tool to enhance your shooting skills. Gen 3 offers great value for beginner shooters or those on a budget, while Gen 4 provides cutting-edge features for advanced users. So, choose the ShotKam that suits your needs, and embark on a journey towards becoming a more skilled and accurate shooter. I am 64 yo and I purchased mine 1 1/2 years ago when I started shooting trap. I was struggling with hard right & left targets. ShotKam showed I was stopping my barrel. It was a great help in fixing my problem.
    The customer support is second to none. The ladies I talked to were very knowledgeable and helpful.
    I even got to talk to Emily once. I have gone from a D shooter to an A in 1 1/2 years.Thank you ShotKam.

    I have one mounted on my 870 and combining a move, mount, shoot style with a recoil pump confuses the heck out of the camera algorithms at times. During a standard 50 bird sporting clays course, maybe 10% of the stations are cobbled up. It's still better than nothing, though.

    What do you use for clay shooting - the red dot or the cross and why.

    • @Shotkam
      @Shotkam  Рік тому

      Thank you for your comment. The red dot reticle is the default camera setting for all target types. The choice of reticle is personal preference :) I hope this helps!

    How does the camera work in low light, such as early morning duck hunting when birds fly in right before sunrise.

    • @Shotkam
      @Shotkam  Рік тому +1

      Great question! Yes, you can use the ShotKam in low-light conditions, but it does not have its own light-source. It will not flash or brighten the video, so the video will appear darker if shooting at dawn or dusk. Here's a duck hunting compilation that has many different lighting conditions: ua-cam.com/video/fxaLXOtmty8/v-deo.html. I hope this helps!

    I’ve enjoyed this video and am thinking about buying one. However, while I agree with the advice to calibrate to the point of aim, but I don’t agree with her definition of point of impact. IMHO, POI is defined as where the “impact” of the pattern is when the shooter mounts and shoots the shotgun. A shotgun may have a perfect POA but if the gun doesn’t fit the shooter his POI will be off. In other words, the gun is not shooting where he/she is looking, or “pointing” it.
