It is crazy how majority of artists don't sound that good live, but oh my god, Bastille never seizes to amaze me. Dan's voice almost sounds better live!

The beauty with the live version where the synth is dampened and replaced by strings, is that you can really hear the raw passion in Dan's voice... and that's the exact reason why I love these versions impossibly more. :):):)

I honestly loved every single part of this performance, even all the cracks and everything were so beautiful. I feel like that's what makes a live performance good. it gives them a sense of uniqueness and Dan's voice is just so beautiful. I've never been so in love with a singer's voice before. and I'm just madly in love with him too.
I usually don't like live performances, but this.... it;s even better than the studio version.... aweomse...

I like that Dan is such a flawless performer that you don't even realize he said the wrong words in the second pre chorus until you listen to it a couple times. And you still can't tell I just know the lyrics. WHEN WILL MY BASTILLE OBSESSION END?!

In other live performance he also sings "they only care and want to know why" instead of "they only care and hope you're alright". That's just in the video. And if you ask me: the version from the video is better :)

This is absolutely beautiful I love hearing versions of song where its been stripped down and you can really hear every element of the song its so raw and very powerful not to mention this is my favorite song and this version is just so wonderful im actually crying

Why... Why the fuck do I keep replaying that moment around 0:45, that split second where Dan smiles but that smile immediately goes away and he just looks sad again... I'm legitimately making myself cry because I keep replaying that moment. I know that it's most likely absolutely nothing, he probably just saw something funny or he needed to concentrate. But it just makes me incredibly sad for some reason. Kind of like he remembered the "wild nights" he had with someone but then immediately remembered the bad shit that happened afterwards (whatever that may be) and the smile fades because it hurts.
I'm probably just overthinking this...
