Believe it or not, Witches Brew is new to me this year...and I really love it ! I've always concentrated on the Forbidden Apple for Halloween. I definitely smell the cola scent, even a slight cherry scent. I do enjoy the spice and patchouli as well. As for my favorite design, I think the 2015, gradual light to dark shade coloring, would be my favorite. I like the antique, apothecary look. 🤗 I hope they bring Witches Brew back next year, along with Haunted Hollow. Just in case, I better stock up ! 🕸✴🕸 P.S., that Ginger Beer looked awesome ! 😋🍹

I'm loving the candle Sweet Sedcution that I got from you on Ebay. I don't think I will be able to bring myself to burn it though. LOL Have a great week. Juli
I found some patchouli plants in the herb section of a nearby garden center the other day. Even after crushing a leaf and smelling it in the freshest form available, I have admit I just don't care for patchouli except in smaller amounts in blends. Witches Brew does seem to have some lovely, sweet undertones but I have never been able get past that much patchouli. I really want to love this candle but I just can't. 😔 I enjoyed seeing all the packaging history. Very interesting!
Witches Brew is definitely my Halloween go-to scent for my home. It really captures the holiday so well. I’ve also collected all of these over the years, though I’ve missed a few. I’ll definitely be checking out Home Goods for the ones I’ve missed. Thanks!
I still have the original WB jar from when it first came out in the late 90s! I took a picture, but I can't figure out how to attach it. I can't part with the old fashioned witch decal on the front! Always one of my favs!

I watched your other video when you made it and enjoyed it since I wasn't with Yankee that long to have seen these in person...I really like the jar this year but once again hardly any scent so I bought the meltcups to use along side this one. What do you think about the metal lid over the regular jar lid? I really like the witch one with the orange added...and this year also has orange on the label. I also like purple and black like the raven tumbler. Too bad they didn't incorporate the orange and purple on the jar this year.-Ann
Hi Shane! I asked a couple of months ago about what to do in the Hudson Valley while we were in Accord. I want to thank you for giving me so many suggestions and we did almost all of them! We had a blast! Now this weekend we are going to Salem MA and Sleepy Hollow NY. I basically have been researching Salem for a while and know what to do, but Sleepy Hollow I have no idea! Lol any suggestions since you are great at giving them! Lol 😀Thanks!
I would vote for the whimsical 2 cats label ( I believe 2005?) I loved the similar style 'trick or treat' pumpkin label that came out that year as well ..there was a 'Beware' jar one year and Tricky, Wicked and Boo ( Wicked was the 'witches brew' scent)
I might give Witches Brew a second chance due to your description. I didn't like it so far. Way too much patchouli, I guess. But I sniffed on a tart and DAMN!!!! the scents that you smell out of that candle are totally mind blowing. Now it doesn't smell too bad :-)
I heard that YC corporate said WB is Patchouli. However, when my hubs & I compared it to our jar of regular Patchouli... no!! WB (at least this year's pillar) has a *noticeable* candy mix in there (reminds me of those pink & white candies in a box)! I know what you mean about the Coke smell too: & I also got hit with what I thought was a strong note of sassafras? Anyway, not just reg Patchouli at all, imo.😒 I vote for the two cats jar! ;-) 💚
Great throwback video Shane, but a bit harsh on yourself to say that the original was un-watched as I'm sure it wasn't; for me, that was actually the first piece of work of yours that I came across! But you did miss one of the Witches Brew labels - it's the first one in this gallery if you're logged into Facebook ( tinyurl.com/yd2j5ap5 ). It's a lovely vintage style, dating from around the late nineties - as such, it comes after the Housewarmer jar and before the one with the two cats. There was also a matching Trick or Treat. Not strictly WB, but there is also another label type of 'Purrchouli' with a cat silhouette (can also be seen in the link) that has a matching Cider Web and Boo-nilla. My recommendation/request for you - keep on with the Halloween series and do comparisons of Candy Corn and Trick or Treat versions!
Wait, what? Your hair was straight in the older video? (I am sure I am the only one to make such a random comment. It just took by surprise to see you with straight hair). I have never seen the original "Witches Brew" video that you did so that was really fun. It makes me want to go back and rewatch some of the first ones again. And I feel ashamed and embarrassed to admit this, but I have never smelled this candle before 😯. Better get myself into a store and smell it asap because I am feeling really left out. You would probably like dirty patchouli or aged patchouli much better
