I find it interesting that here the body is said to be not in our control, i have always felt like it was mine and, rightfully, that i should take good care of it, but thinking that it is not mine feels "emotionally wrong but logically right"; my history teacher once said that even in times of dictatorship, they can take away your word, your ability to express yourself, but no one can take away your own thought (well, not if you take good care of the temple anyway, since the brain is also made of muscles and tangible things). So my reflection today goes to the fact that there is a part of us that, perhaps in the modern world is overshadowed by materialism, that has both the ability to manipulate and control at least some of what is outside of us*, and the peculiarity of being the most authentic part of ourselves. *the example i have in mind is an addicted, i was addicted to videogames and i made a lot of progress, and it was hard because my body was forcing me into it, but what i could control helped me, the desire for happiness had greater power (when used correctly) compared even to the chemistry of the brain. I thank you for giving me the opportunity to think this deeply, expression is a bandage to the heart
