That's a good explanation of chemotherapy. My mom had breast cancer that metastasized into her lungs. It's a race between what the chemo will kill first, you or the cancer.
I always felt that House did the treatment for Wilson because he didn't want Wilson to end up in the same position that he was in when he performed the surgery on his leg. All alone, in agonizing pain, couldn't contact anyone. That's a horrible position to be in and he knew what it was like.
@@RealD8 I’m unsure if this is common for other chemo patients. However, personally, I had quite a few that weren’t as bad as how House described (though, still bad). The only symptom really that was a thing for chemo patients is the muscle pain, however, I didn’t get any (Thank goodness). And nausea and vomiting is just par for the course during chemo.
@@feelingoffbalance They do. The chemo I underwent was cis-platinum and bleomyocin. The first caused extreme nausea that would have killed me if not for equally extremely potent anti-nausea drugs. The second causes lung irritation and eventually permanent lung damage, as such there is a lifetime dosage limit which I'm at. Though overall weakness and loss of the immune system is pretty common among most chemo.

Makes me more fearful of cancer than ever, just by watching this scene.
I have seen the final stages first hand when visiting a friend, the hospital was swamped & this lady was laying opposite my friend & coughing violently, suddenly she started gagging & jolting in her bed & vomited up what I can only describe as a fountain of blood before passing away. To be honest its not the worst thing I have seen in my life.
This is not season 1 this is season 8 !!
"When you live , lose, you die" It is almost poetic.
*Win, you live; lose, you die.
*win, you live. lose, you die
*win, you live. lose, you die
I have something similar to what Wilson suffers from ,horrible pain , muscle spasm ,fear .. AND OOOH GOD TO THAT PAIN KILLER SHOT .. IM IN LOOVEE
Was that painkiller morphine? He could overdose on that stuff lol.
“Now, what are we doing here Wilson?” 🤣🤣🤣
I need more uploads, I've watched everything
I honestly wished I could have a friend like House, to tell me the harsh reality of a situation. Yet risk his entire career for his one friend .
my mother had stage 3 squamous cell carcinoma of the rectum and she underwent chemo and radiotherapy concurrently for 2 months. radiation 15 minutes per day 5 days a week, and a bag of fluorouricil which was given through a stent and lasted one week. and the worst side effects were severe watery diarrhea, chronic fatigue (even after just 10-15 minutes walking, 1st degree burns on her abdomen which blistered due to the radiation, thrush, and the 5 bowel obstructions (which occurred 3 and 1/2 yrs after the radiation treatment) which resulted in her having to wear an ostomy bag for the rest of her life.
He seems to be describing my feelings about divorce.
Nothing ever tastes good coming back up
Dreaming of having wife or kids is fine. But a house is definitely a home
Best ending ever.
Chronic pain sufferer who isn't supposed to take pain medicine incase it makes things worse, like my lungs stop working, so I appreciate t-everluvin-f out of that moment for them. ♡
I miss this show
I've been binge watching HOUSE MD
Best show ever
00:01 I always thought that was a I.V. port, but at 4:00 he clearly has a pic line. So, I gotta ask; What is that thing at the beginning?
an electrode for a heart monitor
"we're on vacation"
This is the only situation where house saved his Vicodin to give it to someone else
5 year lymphoma survivor, 1 year of chemotherapy 2 years of maintenance
🤣 can you imagine? “ hey babe, do you wanna have a fun time and hook up… some industrial-strength painkillers?”
4:02
Whelp, that's one way to share a needle
Yep given House's predilection towards ladies of the night its very unsafe. Then again Wilson is most likely killing himself at this point anyway so YOLO
I wish Dr. House's Patented "Painkiller, Industrial Strength, Level Awesome" was available when I had kidney stones
This episode was wild
I hate how these clips always end too soon.
4:09 “no wonder you take Vicodin”
Any way you want it, that's the way you need it...
