- What's the Forum Madeira Shopping Centre like? We hope you enjoy this Forum Virtual Madeira Shopping Centre walk in Funchal, Madeira Island in Autumn 2022, where you can walk it for yourself.
Located in the tourist area to the west of Funchal near Funchal Lido, the Forum Shopping Centre on Madeira Island has around over 80 shops, a car park with room for 800 vehicles, around a dozen restaurants, cafés and snack bars, 6 cinema screens and a hypermarket.
Located on Estrada Monumental it features a rooftop garden with lovely panoramic views over the Atlantic Ocean.
In this same space during the summer, visitors can also enjoy open air cinema screenings.
Oh and do look out for Lesley, from the youtube channel it'll be fun - Madeira!

@@leanderian When we first moved here, the location of the apartment at the Forum was really convenient. The Forum is in the Lido Area which is quite touristy. However, many people like that. We stayed there for six months and then moved closer into Funchal to make walking into town easier. However, we still drive to the supermarket at the forum every week to do our shopping. Cheers!

I was hoping you were going down to the basement so I'd get a glimpse of my Pingo Doce of choice, because I stayed 5 minutes walk from it during my last 6 nights in Madeira, so it was handy for me to pick up my bolo de caco & pastéis de nata before it closed so I could eat them for breakfast!
I'm not complaining as you showed my areas which I'd yet to discover as well as the beautiful Promenade do Lido; I even half expected you to end it at Praia Formosa!

How nice to see an open air shopping centre, this is nowhere near as claustrophobic as most, I'd even shop there and I really don't like shopping!

Would love to visit here again but the flights are just so expensive for when I'm not at work as its always peak season, hopefully one day I'll be able to return, it's such a beautiful island!

@@LivingWalks oh really? is it only from certain airports? I thought I'd go with easy jet as my auntie works for them so we are able to get them cheaper but it's still super expensive

A good overview of the pathways in the shopping area, would have been improved by a better look at the shops in the area rather than just walking past.
Thanks for the feedback Jane, in this instance it was a little more difficult as understandably assistants aren't always so keen for the shops to be filmed in detain but thanks for your thoughts, we do welcome it.
