If anyone is wondering why it is not working on Fortnite i think i know why. So what i did is I disconnected my controllers until the thing popped up that says to connect the controllers. And then i pressed I think it was e and r but if i am wrong it is L and R in the manual. And i connected my keyboard and mouse and it worked. Reply to this comment with questions i will try to respond and sorry i am horrible at explaining things.
@@Clustiethe adapter is usb a (rectangle) the switch by itself doesn’t have that so you need to turn the usb a (rectangle) into the usb c (switch charging port/oval)
can i use it to play tetris? i need it to map the "z" and "x" on my keyboard to the "a" and "b" and the "a" on my keyboard to the "L" on my switch also the left right up down keys to their counterparts on the switch. is it possible to do this with the adapter in the video? if so I'm buying it then as 20 seems cheap.

Sadly, it isn't working for me. I don't why but, no matter what keyboard I use, it never works. I have the Royal Kludge M75. If you could try that instead to try and fix my problem, that would be great.
Alright so I bought it, it was about $30. So it worked but the sensitivity is slower and it doesn't keep up with your movements which contradicts the purpose of buying it in the first place. It doesn't lag but it is just not fast enough to keep up with your movements. I don't even know how his son got sensitivity as high as he did. Anyway that's my conclusion so far. I'll keep messing with it but if it's slow I may as well just use the controller because at least that actually keeps up. Hope this helps.
Okay so one more update. I'm glad about my purchase. All the keys were asy to learn and seem to accommodate those keyboards gamers use that are like sliced in half, so the game play was easy with one hand. Oh and also I only play on zero build, I DO NOT build on fortnite. So not sure how that works with the adaptor but I'm sure it'll do well. To accommodate for the slow sensitivity I turned the sensitivity up to insane, basically all th way, on fortnite. The only negative thing about the adapter is that it doesn't account for the aim sensitivity in fortnite as much so its a little slowed down and doesnt keep up w your mouse movement as well, but that's😂 actually OK with me because hipfiring works perfectly fine and I've heard it even been recommended by a professional fortnite player that hipfirng is best in general. Also when I do aim, I can still use it ok. Not the best but like I said it's ok and it works. Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase. I'll give it a 4.5/5 Happy playing.
You can only map what is in the game. So you map a bind to a controller button. Then your keyboard to a controller button. You have to be within the limits of the game on console, it’s not like pc where you can change keys for functions.

If you want to use it in handheld mode you will need a separate adapter that is USB-A to USB-C to plug into the switch.
