- Per viewer request, shoot a watermelon at a mile! Well, Kansas weather in the springtime can be unpredictable and for my Tuesdays at the range, that's just what I got. Seize the day though! Im going for it. 26 mph wind from 11:00 makes it a real challenge. Will the watermelon survive! What about the flak jacket? How will it hold up to the Cutting Edge Lazer at a mile?
I just came here from a video on Facebook and dear god was that impressive! That first cold bore shot to Mr. Watermelon's waterneck is one I would be bragging about for the rest of my life! I'm really looking forward to spending some time going through your channel when I get off work tonight!

I have a section from a silicon carbide plate I could send to you. And some hexagonal tiles, small pieces, about 1.5" or so used in flexible applications.
That would be interesting, how thick is it?
@@RyanCheneyELR the piece from the SAPI plate is around .295" x 9x6". It's actually the bottom right hand side that would've been protecting right side of lower torso. I will have to look for the hexagonal pieces tomorrow. Many years ago I also had test pieces of the tank and humvee plates. The company I worked for over a decade ago manufactured armor plates for ArmorWorks

Thanks for the kind words. I shot some PRS back in the day but got serious with ELR in 2018 and didn’t do much with prs after that. My car wreck in 2019 jacked up my arm enough that I felt like I might fumble a rifle on a stage and I decided not to take the risk.

That’s a really nice rifle. Love that LRT stock. I want to build the same thing but in .408. I like the heavier bulletIs I’m also the guy that picks the .308 over the 6.5 hehe. Is the mile the farthest target at your range? Looks like there’s one to the right back farther I’m going to the range tomorrow to take my 300 rum out to 2450. It pushed the 245 grain Berger’s at 3100 fps so I’m excited to see how it does
