THANK YOU!!! Saved me from scratching the paint! When you install the light unit, you have to remove the plastic frame from the light unit and bend the long pins on it that make electrical contact with the loco back about 45 degrees. Looks Cool when installed! You did a Great Vid, much better than I could! 👌

I did struggle , all parts were refitted. I have two chargers with lights fitted . I saw your video after.

Thanks for the video. With it's help I could install lighting w/o breaking the shell. 😊

Good Video. I got the shell off after a half hour of using Magnification and very careful fiddling, but then could not see how the light went in. So off to utube I went, I then saw it looked like the Plastic shell of the light was not on your Loco so after removing that it slid right in, I was embarrassed I did not figure that out. I wish I watched your video first. The shell release tabs I probably hit by accident. If I do another one of these Locos down the Track it will be much easier, so Thanks for that.

Thanks for this. I was having a tough time and just stopped trying as I didn't want to wreck the shell. The air hoses also like to come loose which was another hassle.

Same with the hoses. The first time I tried separating the shell, hoses flied off. I decided to leave them in a container and not install them to avoid losing them again.

I had two little pieces fall of and I have no idea where they go 😫

I had that same problem with the hoses falling off and it took me while to find them on the floor. Since they aren’t that important details on the model, I have stored them in a container to prevent losing it in the future. Another alternative is to glue them on.

@@trevorderper5050 yep I did the same thing as you. I also stored them away because they’re so tiny so easy to lose.👍

TCS did refer to my video for the N scale ALC-42 dcc installation. I figured out another way which I might post that similar to the in the video. BTW how did your removal technique work?
