Have you read his biography of Tom’s piloting a bomber over Europe in WW2, which was going down and every one bailed out but Tom.....who decided to try the stalled engine one more time before bailing out and the engine kicked in and Tom flew it back to base. A man of steel for sure.

No, I didn't. He was just a kid, 20, 21, but then again a lot of those guys were just kids.

How many of his biographies are there? Could you help me here? I’m looking for one that mentions his Sunday school teacher who also was a WW2 hero. That man was my uncle.

One thing about Tom's teams they were tough to beat....and folks will say at the end he had some not so spectacular seasons.....I think that can be said of all coaches
......He had his players respect and his opponents and their fans

Read Skip Bayless’ book “Gods Coach”. May change your opinion about him having the respect of his players

Skip Bayless is a crank and not taken serious. Jimmy Johnson & Troy Aikman refused to speak with Bayless. He is as dishonest a character as you can find.

I got this beat by far! I'm 58 yrs old and my great aunt Alice Webb Close...long deceased...was a 2nd/ 3rd grade elementary teacher in Mission TX. Tom Landry was one of her students and he was still sucking his thumb in 2nd grade😊

Rich wanted a story of Tom getting a blowie from a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, and instead Tom sipped some wine. Such a Landry moment.

He failed to draft Warren Moon in 1978 or Joe Montana in 1979.
