I was very impressed by that especially considering how outsized they were, plus number 24 caught my attention, the whole team in general. They were hitting some clean shots
It is some media cap on his name this kid is 17 and the 11th grade playing average high schoolers while it’s a 17 year old kid a DUKE right now playing against NBA talent he has to stop playing down in competition if he’s going to be a 30ppg nba star like they say he will just ask emoni bates who never played prep ball because he wanted to dominate average kids
@@_OT9He’s just practicing bro.. just mastering his skillset.. why use bates as example instead of lamelo.. he goes to public school but he hoops with pros.. so it’s not like he don’t see comp
@ lamelo went to a prep school and played a national schedule his senior year I used bates because bates stayed home and played local regular talent which made him look like a #1 pick 30ppg prospect
@ oh ok I get you.. I just think he will be ok.. because he’s all skill and finesse.. he’s actually learning how to score.. he’s tall but he’s not all that talented or physically superior to everyone else.. He has a real game
@ talent wise yes but he doesn’t care about winning he doesn’t care about chemistry he may not know how to even play team basketball he’s loses to teams that they should blow out if we just going by talent and him being the tallest kid on the court every game with all the hype around his name why does it not equal to wins I’m sure he can score 1on1 vs any body but at the next level he’s going to have the other team best defender that’s older stronger smarter and experienced with a athletic 7footer waiting at the rim for him how long is it going to take for him to adjust to that after play 6’3 centers in high school every day playing pro runs is cool but it’s just work its not close to a real game
It’s funny yall say this cause what type of competition do u think his father was going up against in Hs? It was similar to this Gil is trying to build a 30 point scorer in the NBA go watch some Kobe hs film also and tell me who he was going against
Agreed. Gil better teach some kind of defense or sense of urgency. This ain’t finna fly at any next level. I understand it’s light work on offense but effort is needed on defense to assure the dub
Why was he so lazy all game it didn’t even look like he’s invested in the game obviously he’s gonna get away with this now but he couldve played a lot better
@@ajwysopal your last 3 comments was glazing this kids to max begging him to come join a team you also would never play for so it seems to me we also in the same position
I'm waiting to see if he can lead his team to a high school state championship !!! That will tell it..! If he's that type of dominant STAR , he won't be stopped by mediocre competition. He'll excel ..... We shall see.
@itsalexvictor4597 that's what I'm saying. I want to see him WIN IT!!! lead them there and close the deal...With his talent for basketball, he has to carry his team. He could drop 60 points but if the team loses, then he ain't a winner. Winners win , no matter how sorry your teammates are. No matter the competition. Conquer high school, conquer college = he's a pro. He training with pros, people anticipating him a pro. Let's see him win at the lower levels first... We watching..😎
@@doctordef324 every winner has to have help to win. Yall forget basketball is a team sport. At this level of competition a state championship team has a well rounded team with a starting 5 of above mediocre players. They might not be on his level but good enough. His team looks a lot more solid than they did last year. Seems like they just need to be more disciplined on defense and trust his teammates a little more. He won’t need to drop 60 to win cause he could do that and still loose. I bet if they get a decent coach they can do it.
@chris7045 yeah, a competent coach would help seriously. I'm saying, if this kid is that dynamic, he will lead the team to a Championship win. No matter what. If he's not dynamic like say "lebron" was in high school, then he's going to need help. He's team is not scubs bro, I see no excuse for him not to win.... He does what he wants on the court, so to win a championship, he'll have to make the other players better by passing. He'll have to show overall IQ for the game or else he'll just be only trying to put up 50points
How old is he? I was under the impression that he moved up to 2025 while within the age range of most 2026 "Juniors" 🤔 Im still a fan, just wouldnt be as impressed to find that he turns 21 next year 😂
He’s 17 and he’s reclassifying back to his right grade. He should be a senior but he was held back in 2nd grade because of the rules of the elementary school he went to. He’s now in his right class and he’ll be on a college campus by June
Clearly you haven't seen him play against other top D 1 talent. Not every team has D1 guys to play against.... But if you look you can find plenty of games with him vs. Other top 10 talent and he still dominates.
24 was giving them boys hell tho🤣
What was impressive was the Pioneers sharing the basketball cutting and setting screens to get easy shots
I was very impressed by that especially considering how outsized they were, plus number 24 caught my attention, the whole team in general. They were hitting some clean shots
number 24(White/blue team) was balling too
His dad wasn’t at this game so he was like ima play a lil lazy let my team get involved😂but he’s an amazing baller who’s IQ is beyond his years
Did you say get other players involved????? lol I saw 👀 a ball hog
@ 🥹🥹they know he’s the best on the team

#24 LOCKED IN! 🔥
Them refs was calling them trash charging calls.
they were clearly helping the team that looks like their families.

What’s crazy is that the blue and white team is a 2a school, very small. The whole team is 10% of the high school 😳😳
You know it’s light work when you can hoop in a long sleeve shirt
Kid is going to be really good
Is he actually playing the 1, or is he like a point forward?
He's a 2 right now, just can't make the reads to play the 1 on a higher level, but he has more than enough skill to get there if he ever wants.
kid got so much potential, but a lot to work on.
Arizona wildcats will develop him just like his pops. 🐻⬇️🌵

Man it's clear who the refs were rooting for .😂
Someone’s salty that they lost to a team with 100 kids in their school💀

But he has some of the best training in the world so that means literally nothing
