- Today we get a huge upgrade! I'm unboxing my Moza R9 Set up with Fanatec V3 Pedals and taking it for its first rip! Goodbye Logitech!

The ES wheel now works with the new R9 V2.

I just upgraded from G29 to Moza R9 and my reaction was the same, I cant stop driving now, im in love with this wheel and the base.
the smile on your face says it all. its time for me to upgrade as well. we had the same logitech set up. works, but its got more cons than pros for sure. great entry level wheel ngl. Ill definitely be getting what you got here. asap lol
Happy for you man. I could see a bit of skill being held back in your previous videos. And to see you IMMEDIATELY progress was so satisfying. Can't remember rn but if your pedals use a loadcell, left foot braking will become so much easier and increased braking consistency.
Yeah they have load cells and I need to practice that technique more anyways so this should help

Commenting on an older video but this really sold me on the MOZA wheel. Ive been looking to finally buy between Simagic, Asetec, Fanatec, and Moza. seeing your reaction and joy brings so much life and reality to what I hope to experience than many other reviewers ever can to me. Only question is have you had any problems with it in the last 11 months? Im worried about the life expectancy.
It's still been great! I stop making videos for some time to catch up on some important life stuff but will be posting again Feb 1st. I've already filmed a few videos in advance just need to start editing. The wheel still rips

I'm in the exact same boat...using a Logitech and looked at the R5 but realized that it was a bit underwhelming and ordered an R9 + CS wheel. I'm literally watching your videos as I set it up. Our setups are basically identical, literally the only difference is I'm using Thrustmaster T-LCM pedals.
good pedals are more important then a wheel.
You got all v1 Moza stuff they have V2 out now waiting probably woulda been a good idea I wonder when exactly the V2 products came out I can tell you went to microcenter same place I got mine that was 2 months ago it's kinda hard to believe they had already put out V2 since you got yours
i am in the uk, i bought moza R5 bundle months ago, the same wheel now works with my moza R9 base
I got the r5 bundle and I’m so happy with it. Gran turismo 7 feels like a simulator and not like a video game now.
I like watching a sim driver who realizes a grand IS expensive for real people👍🏻
Most of us know that it's expensive, but every hobby is expensive. How much is a mountainbike?, how much is a motorcycle? How much is a gym subscription? I saved up for a year and sold some of my stuff to be able to afford my rig. It's a question of priorities and I'm sick of people thinking that someone who has a nice rig is somehow privileged. If you have to have your starbucks and Netflix and a Xbox or Playstation subscription and an iPhone, and buy a new game every other month and go partying every weekend,..then yes, it's expensive to buy a rig in addition to all the other stuff, but it's not so expensive as that "real people" can't save up for it if they really wan't to.

Hell yeah brother!! Currently on a G29 can't wait to get my R9! I'd recommend a cockpit upgrade next to reduce the shaking of your stand. Keep it up bud good work 💪🏾

now you need some bolt on aluminium profiles to make your rig sturdy because it will dampen a lot of force
I also went right for the gut and got the MOZA R9 and the big bad wheel, the CRP pedals and came from a wooden DIY Frame Rig that was awesome to a GT Omega TITAN, and Logitech wheel, and MY GOD, what a game changer.....Moza handbrake is amazing as well. lol. I also use the VNM Shifter, for now. Love the video man. Do you find yourself trying to "THROW" the wheel into a counter drift because the logitech was gear driven and needed the extra THROW lol. I did that for a while and once I stopped, I was doing so well drifting, now I have no issues at all, except in CarX, that game is seriously difficult with the MOZA. Not sure why....lol.
Luckily I didn't develop the throw habit in time haha. But yes I also had problems on Car X with this wheel and I never really played it since lol. I also made a video on it

Hell yeah man. So glad you have a proper wheel now. Actually having the wheel counter speed at a decent speed and being able to closer match the torque of a real car makes such a difference.
It really does. I'm so excited to try a bunch of different stuff now

Its crazy how much this setup improves your driving i can make saves i normally couldn't make with the Logitech it communicate what the car is doing so much better than the Logitech

They sell em local at a Computer store called Microcenter so I picked everything up
As someone that daily's a G29, this makes me super excited for what is in store. Sadly, being someone who plays on a laptop, and doesn't have the funds to really get such a cool wheel, window shopping is still fun haha. But hey, as I have been subscribed for a bit, I am exited to see some sick content, and can't wait to see how the wheel reacts to some other games!
Edit: I wish I was smarter though. Ik you probably don't care but, I guess to share, I was one of those peeps who never took my time to review stuff. I ended up buying my G29 with a handbrake and a shifter for $500! so.. I am excited to see what you got haha
Preciate that man! And yeah I admit this stuff is very expensive but maybe you'll get lucky and find a decent price used thrustmaster somewhere. My friend has a t300 and I tried his wheel and it was a nice jump over the g29 also
@@ibdrifting Yea, I got a Thrustmaster T150 in hopes for it being better buut.. it has a issue with the middle area, like, there is no center haha. So when playing a racing game its like keyboard catting (if you know what that is) and I have been on the look out for something decent, but nothing good is in my area. About ready to sell both the wheels for a new T300 not going to lie! Also if there is ever a time you would like to try doing a carx collab, I do have my own drift team of semi pro's!

@@mehdi-3763 Well yes and no. Its essentially when it goes center, its either on right or left. There is absolutely 0 center

The Moza R9 is absolutely bad. 9nm, but if you drive with more than 6 the ffb is reduced after 30-60 min to 2-3nm...
After an hour, the DIng is well over 60 degrees celsius hot and you burn your fingers on it.
So, who is looking for a heater, or would like to light his house should definitely reach for the R9. Especially in conjunction with the CS v2... So everything goes even faster...
Yep e cs is 13in like a real car and the Logitech is 11in like a toy car style a amazing starting point with sim racing better than most at its price point

Yeah I gotta use the Moza hub to use the SRP lite pedals that's the only way to make that work
should of got the SRP version instead of the lite version as the SRP normal ones work wiht the r9

i bought the R5 combo last week. i regret not getting the R9. its not a huge step up over the G29 imo.
You can use r5 wheel with r9 wheel base. They have release the r9 v2 a good while ago. Can use any wheel they sell.
I'm gonna need another stimulus check to buy one of these.
Love the video! I have a question for you! Long story, but: Have the R5 and SRP pedals. Not the lite. Had a RS V2 wheel which broke and I was able to salvage some parts from it. Now I have bought both the R9 V1 and the R9 V2, and I have a NRG quick release hub on a generic wheel with buttons. I also have a KS wheel, but GT racing isnt my style. Also have a CS wheel, i bought blindly, then learned that it did not work with the R5.
What would you advise to do? Keep the R9 V1 and use my CS wheel, or sell both? Or keep the R9 V2 base, and buy another 13" wheel?
Yeah man Moza makes amazing amazing stuff I got the R5 bundle and both pedal mods a cs wheel a hgp shifter and hand brake it absolutely amazing I'll be getting a NLR wz 2.0 on payday my current stand gets thrown around by the base and I'm upgrading from a Logitech g29 also kinda funny but moza rocks fanatec should be very scared
They do have a R9 V1 thats the one you bought and the R9 V2 that does support the ES wheel in the moza website all wheel have 2 version V1 and V2 except for the ES wheel only have v2 version am planning on getting r9 v2 with the ES wheel same some money and get the shifter because logitech shifter just feel like a cheap toy from the 5 dollar store

finally man, i was really seeing you not able to figure out some decent settings for the logi and it's sure hard to find ones that not only fit you but fit your wheel (seems like they're not all built the same or something xd) you should try DWG cars next

as far as what works with what. If you see anything with V2 on it, that means the "lower" level gear will work with the higher level gear. Like the ES wheel works with the R9 v2 base. They upgraded the shafts in the v2 to work with the ES wheel. Im not sure with the pedals.
just to correct you they have a v2 of the r9 that works with all wheels now. i only know because i looked it up the other day. great video man. i also started with a g29 now i have a t300rs with rally wheel and tlcm pedals on a gt omega prime cockpit

hey boss....do you happen to have a issue where the wheel motor spins indefinitely. Like the bump stops on the wheel are non existent. , ive calibrated the base, multiple times and it works great for about 10 mins, then it becomes crazy hard to control
I haven't had any problems like that. You have an updated Moza Pit House app too?
i figured it out, defective unit, moza replaced it for me told me to do what ever with the defective one lol @@ibdrifting

At the time of this video it was an old seat sitting on the floor being held up by the shelf behind me lol. I run the Vevor set now. I reviewed it on the channel
I haven't got the Pedals I chose something else there but I have the R16 the RS Wheel and the FSR Wheel and I love it though the RS Wheel the buttons are a little awkward even for my big hands but that my only criticism, waiting on the Handbrake and Shifter too.
I highly recommend the FSR Wheel though, the button layout and flexibility is awesome the display is pretty good if you set brightness down but I play in VR so it doesn't really matter to me much.
