- In this episode of Lauren of All Trades... Lauren checks out the Indulge Food Hall on the Norwegian Viva!
Indulge Food Hall is a new complementary restaurant found only on NCL Prima, Viva, and Aqua so far.
The selections are excellent for several meals at the food hall and most of the items are good to great.
In this video we combined what we had here on the Prima back in June with what we had on our cruise on the Viva so that we could try and report back on EVERYTHING ON THE MENU.

I'm so hungry now! And I can't wait to go on the Viva!
Glad you could get into the Indulge restaurant. My brother and I only got to eat there when we arrived at closing time as it was always packed on a 7 day cruise on the Prima 12Jan24
Thank you for making this video. The presentation of the food looked really good. However, the portion sizes seemed small?
They were small so you could try lots of things. There’s no limit to how many of anything that you order once you know what you like!
Looks good. This is the type of thing Virgin keeps bragging about, but this looks equal or more varied. I hope we can get onto a newer NCL ship in the next year or two. We tend to sail out of FL or NOLA, only once out of Manhattan b/c we were up there for other family stuff.
I haven’t been able to afford Virgin (looks like the prices are coming down, so I might book one in the next couple of years), so I haven’t paid attention to what they do. But even when split on whether we still like Norwegian or not, Indulge (lack of seating notwithstanding) is a home run for us.
I think Prima and Aqua are doing some sailings out of Miami in the coming years, but not on a regular schedule annoyingly.
Great vlog! I paid more for my 1st NCL cruise on the Viva in March than I've ever paid for VV. Im not looking forward to the nickel and diming I'm seeing for all the extra fees on NCL. I had to upgrade to free at sea plus just to get bottled water included. I love Virgin Voyages because it's almost all inclusive: soda, soecialty restaurant quality food, gelato, arcade, classes, gratuitues, and wifi are included. Also i haven't paid for cocktails yet due to free bar tab promos. It does look like their Indulge food hall is a better implementation of rhe vision VV had with the galley though.
VV is on our list to try. I only recently found out that a lot of stuff is included in the cruisefare for them.
Indulge is really good which helps these ships a lot, but yeah, it's expensive. We pretty much only go on NCL for their more interesting itineraries.
I’m booked on the new NCL Aqua Nov 2025. Doing sea trials now. Don’t know what restaurant options will be available yet. Hoping for the Brazilian Moderno, not tried one yet.
I do like the editing options, I will do that next time I’m on the viva!
Same! I wish I knew sooner! Thanks for watching!
I’m booked on the new NCL Aqua Nov 2025. Doing sea trials now. Don’t know what restaurant options will be available yet. Hoping for the Brazilian Moderno, not tried one yet. Food Hall looks like a buffet with stations instead of lines.
I expect that they won't have Moderno. Honestly, I went to Moderno on a different ship and I wasn't impressed with their execution of the concept. Indulge isn't a buffet because you can't walk up and grab the items (except at breakfast). You order from a tablet and it's delivered to you. :)
Were those deviled eggs free too?
Yes! The deviled eggs are free! :)
The buffet for breakfast was much better then this I was on viva in feb for 7 days love the ship had a wonderful time ❤
Thanks for watching!
Wish the Prima had Q
It does! I might have given it the wrong name in my video. Not sure how I got jt wrong, but I know I did. I called it “Texas Teasers”… which is what they call their appetizers lol.
@laurenofalltrades Well I was just on the Prima 12Jan24 and never noticed Q but we didn't have the time to choose from more than 2 restaurants selections so maybe it was not high on our priority because we were rushed.
Always had Hudson's in mind for food as we could get a seat there. Indulge is such a nice idea, but not with almost 3600 passengers onboard.
@@rgruenhaus It's actually called "Texas Smokehouse" lol I guess the "Q" logo is for "BBQ."
7 minutes in and it’s still just pictures of the self serve breakfast. Hasn’t even ordered a dish yet.
