      it is pretty nifty. I'm a bit disappointed in the strength of the frame of the mower, but that is what I get for trying to turn a mower into a full tractor.

    I have a JB jr. on my TS354XD also. My JB jr. is an older model ment for the 100 & 200 series John Deere tractors. It was garage kept and barley used so for a 12 year old JB jr. it is in practically mint condition. I was able to get it for $700 from a guy in my town through FB market place. When I saw the price I jumped on it even though I knew there was a chance that I would have to do some modifications to make it work since it was ment for one of those green tractors. Luckily I had to do very little to make it fit! I just had to drill one hole per side in my frame and slightly elongate one hole per side in the mounting brackets. Other than that it went right on and works great! I have done some fairly extensive modifying and beefing up of my frame and the front wheel spindles to eliminate any damage. I now have no worries that my tractor will handle anything that I throw at it. I also have an electric sleeve hitch on the back and several implements and attachments. I definitely use it to the max as a full garden tractor, but with the modifications and just how good of a tractor it is to begin with it has never let me down and often makes me quite proud. Some people like to hate on the Husqvarna GTs, but I will always defend them to the end. The TS354XDs are quite the little beast and for the money you can't beat them. Plus for the money they are a great base to build on and beef up into a super garden tractor. I'm glad to see that someone else isn't scared to find out what one is truly capable of. Just take care of it and it will keep on digging and always keep the ORANGE TRACTOR PRIDE!!!

      I'd love to know what you did for mods on the frame. Also which electric sleeve hitch did you get. That is next on my list to buy.

      I've done several things to it, but the main important thing was definitely reinforcing the frame. I had 2 pieces of 8' long 3/4" x 2" solid steel bar and I used it to reinforce the front 2/3 of the frame. I chose to put it on the inside of the frame instead of the outside because it was going to be easier to fit it, wouldn't interfere with as much, and it would be a cleaner look. Now it definitely takes some doing to get it to fit and clear the existing bolts and such, but it was all do able with a drill press and angle grinder. You just have to drill a few clearance holes and grind/file a couple of small notches. It took roughly two days to complete and was definitely worth it. Now that I know what to do it could actually definitely be completed in just a few hours. I will also be doing the same for the last back 1/3 of the frame, but there is more that will have to be done to fit it and I just wanted to wait until I get my milling machine to make it quicker and easier on myself. Plus that part isn't really where the problem with the Husqvarna frames is located. It's really just one specific spot towards the front of the frame. Also 3/4" x 2" steel bar is way overkill and isn't necessary. That's just what I had. 1/4" steel plate would be plenty enough to strengthen the weak spot and of course much easier to work with. As far as the sleeve hitch goes it depends on whether you want to buy or build yours. I chose to build mine, but pretty much just copied the general design of the Johnny Products (JP) conversion kit. I chose to build it myself because it saved me roughly $110. Plus by building it myself and since they are the exact same price i was able to pick the 1200lb actuator instead of the 600lb that both the kit and the full JP universal sleeve hitch comes with. As far as I know the only place you can get a fully built, ready to go, electric sleeve hitch is from JP. If you already have a regular manual sleeve hitch you can buy the electric conversion kit from JP or build it like I did. Either way if you plan to use ground engaging attachments the electric sleeve hitch is sooo worth it and practically a must. If you want to see a full updated list of all the mods, upgrades, and attachments that I have on my tractor you can check it out on my about page on the My Tractor Forum. Here is my link: www.mytractorforum.com/members/jesse82abn.580027/#about I haven't updated the pictures I have on there yet so the few ones that are on there are of it when it was still mostly factory. If you have anymore questions or need help with anything just let me know. Or if you want me to take pics of anything specific to help you out. I will be glad to help a fellow Husqvarna GT owner all I can. Always keep the Orange Tractor Pride!!!

    Regarding the Post Office. They do accept packages from UPS FedEX ect. Also They will provide a street address for your PO Box as well. Much less expensive than the UPS store for box rental. No need to use both.

    Thanks for sharing. Ready to install the Johnny bucket next week. Would love to see your full install video. Where do you get your counter weight?

    • @JasonRobinsonidaho
      @JasonRobinsonidaho  2 роки тому

      I do not have a counter weight yet. I need bar lug tires and a counter weight because if I have almost anything in the bucket, it is too heavy and my rear tires float over the dirt and I have no traction. If I am carrying anything in the bucket, I can't even drive over a gravel hill

      Ordered the Husqvarna counter weight from Lowes for the two tires and they fit and work very well.

    Hi Jason...thanks for the video. I just bought one of these tractors. Since Johnny Buckets don't recommend the bucket or plow for this tractor...did you have any issue with them selling it to you. Also, what did you do to make sure you got the perfect match brackets you needed... Thank You in advance for your help and answers...

    • @JasonRobinsonidaho
      @JasonRobinsonidaho  Рік тому

      that is unfortunate that they don't recommend the bucket for this tractor any more (they used to). The frame is probably just a bit too weak. They sent me the brackets I needed for the TS354XD, so all I did was provide them with the model # and serial number of the tractor so they could verify the parts they needed.

    Any update? Any front end frame damage from excess weight?

    • @JasonRobinsonidaho
      @JasonRobinsonidaho  2 роки тому

      I inspected the undercarriage and didn't see any signs of wrinkles / creases in the frame. I do see flexing on the hood as I lift items, so there is still some slight bending. I am obviously going to go as easy as possible on this to try to avoid any (further) damage to the Husqvarna.

      @@JasonRobinsonidaho thanks for the update! I was thinking of getting this exact model, but really needed a bucket.. and noticed people were saying that it's not recommended for this model, which is strange since it's their top end model.. If you find a way to reinforce it somehow, please make a video!.. thanks!

    • @JasonRobinsonidaho

      @@sokkhemourn9105 reinforcing further back the frame would be difficult hack since there are a lot of frame bolts. I think JB should consider that, but adding the support frames already requires either cutting off the bottom of the small plastic cowling on one port side (or just removing it), and the support frames bend out in order to sit on top of other sheet steel that attaches to the outside of the frame. And I agree it seems silly that their absolutely highest end riding mower / tractor wouldn't be recommended. It does absolutely work, but I think the issue is the frame. it is pretty shin stamped steal, so the frame is very adequate for mowing..... but once you move beyond that it could be questionable.

      @@sokkhemourn9105 The TS354XD does need better tires (Ag / Bar-Lug) and rear weight to handle holding a full bucket. I mowed a strip of back field and kept the baggers compacted down and full as my rear weight. But long term, I might just add a 3 point hitch to the rear so that I can put some suitcase weights on or something similar. It needs weight in the back if you use this bucket.
