  • I realized that I've owned this thing for a few years now and never made a follow up video that shows what it can do. Well, it can do a LOT. Moving dirt, gravel, or mulch is no issue with this thing, but you can also use it as a back blade, and as a pusher blade.
    Pretty cool tool to make your Garden Tractor a Mini tractor!

    Have you had any frame problems from using the JB jr with that tractor? I have a 2019 TS 348D. I was thinking of putting a Johnny Bucket on it, but I read that it wasn't recommended on any of the TS series tractors because the owner of JB didn't feel the frame was sufficient. I have a 50" snowblower on it and haven't had any trouble with the frame. The 2019 has the factory upgraded frame support plates on it.

      I haven't had any issues in the past few years with mine. I don't abuse it, but I certainly use it! I say go for it!!

      In another video you say that you were going to reinforce your frame. Have you done that?

    Those things are so cool and I love that your flying the flag for the Johny Bucket. I have a friend here in PA who just designed a loader for garden tractors. You should look into those if you ever want an upgrade. L and M loaders are what they are called. I've considered one for my unit.

      Not that I was able to find. They seem to be very small compared to Johnny products.

    Always glad to see the old Husqvarna on the channel. I've been following your progress with it ever since you had your first one. I have a TS354XD with a setup just like yours except believe it or not I've actually gone even farther with the mods and upgrades. You were definitely my main inspiration in doing so though and purchasing it in general. I'm almost finished with building a small grapple to attach to my JB Jr. mount and frame using the same actuators. I'm basing the design off of the grapple that Innovative Tractor Attachments LLC makes for JD garden tractors. Except made to bolt to the JB Jr. frame of course. When it's finished I plan to unveil the grapple and the tractor as a whole with all the mods on the UA-cam.

    I have the manual version on a craftsman DGT6000 and I use it a lot! Wheel weights are a necessity with it.

    Might not look like much to someone not doing it but that’s a lot of shovels of dirt that just got moved pretty quickly. Nice. I’m looking at a Cub XT3 with one installed right now, thinking about its value.

      Oh man, it will save your back a bunch of trouble! I used the Craftsman manual front scoop for years before getting this newer electric one, and both have worked well over the years. I moved nearly 100 tons of gravel for my driveway with this setup at my last house. 60 tons for the driveway , and 40 for our barn when we built it.

    I was going to buy that tractor couple years ago. I regret not have done so. Now it's up $1000 plus if you can find one.

    Well that decides it. I am glad I decided to get a loader and not a Johnny Bucket. I contemplated what to do, and two years ago, I went the subcompact tractor route.

      Nice thing about the Johnny Bucket is that it mounts directly to the frame. This means you can slam right into (and thru) stuff like piles of packed snow and dirt or sod. You won't be ramming anything with your fragile loader 😉

    Eric, I have the same husky mower and wondered about the hydraulic set up on the back also those tires. Do they give you a lot more traction and can I have my mower deck on with those wheels on? Don't know if you'll see this but let me know if you do.. Thanks..

    • @android9285

      I have the same Husqvarna as well.
      Those tractor (Ag) tires are a massive upgrade. (I bought the "Max Auto" version.)
      You get much better traction, and they do not eat up my grass!
      Yes, you can keep the tires on with the deck attached - I do all year long.

    Not sure the scoop is worth it. Seems like the only choir you can do with it is move some mulch.

    • @FarpointFarms
      @FarpointFarms  Рік тому +2

      Umm... No. I used this to move 60 tons of gravel, used it to move 20 yards of top soil, and yes I've used it to move 16 yards of mulch. The fact is, it's a front end loader just like you'd find on a SCUT, the only change here is it can't lift it high.

    • @dudet9176
      @dudet9176 Місяць тому

      @@FarpointFarms Can you upload videos of you moving mulch? I've seen a few videos so far... one where a guy is using this loader for about 45-60 minutes just trying to lay new rock gravel on his driveway. Then eventually he gave up... grabbed a big broom, wheelbarrow, and shovel. Got the job done in 20 minutes by using good old fashion manual labor. No offense but in this video you basically treat the loader like a PLOW so... it's not like "Wow!" factor material or showcasing the benefits of one of these.

      Ha! Ya, this is what happens when your working on one thing, but then your wife say's "Hey babe, you got a sec?". Once I got over there and saw what she wanted I went for the tractor. About one minute in I was like "I should film this!", And she grabbed the camera.
      I'd say it was one of the most impromptu videos you'll ever see here on the channel. Flipflops and all!!
