Velodysee: Bikepacking the French Atlantic coast (Bordeaux-Biarritz-SanSebastian-Bilbao) 2022

An epic bikepacking trip on the stunning Velodyssee rout along the French west Atlantic coast. Starting point was Bordeaux and we followed the endless and beautiful beaches up to Biarritz. After crossing the border to Spain we conquered the Basque mountain land and strolled through the city of San Sebastian on the hunt for some pinchos . We followed hilly paths and used many small local ferries to get to the incredible Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. We ended our dreamcation trip in Bilbao.
We traveled a total of 400km in 2 weeks with fully loaded bikes carrying tents, sleeping bags and clothing. This trip was a amazing experience and excellent start into "longer" bike packing trips abroad. We used the French TGV trains to get to the staring point and back home which was very easy and comfortable
