At the time of writing this it is two weeks into December 2021. And to hear TB and everyone just laugh and argue and have fun... I wish we could still have this. So much has happened, mostly bad things, and these videos hit hard.
As I return to this series for the umpteenth time. All I can say is thank you John. For so long you gave your time and energy to make our lives better, and right to the very end you tried to make people like me see the light in this dark world. Thank you John... ♡
I come back to these videos almost every year. There will never be another John Bain again. He was incredible. And this... This was his ultimate masterpiece of content.
I bought the physical game a few years ago because I remembered how much fun these videos were. My family is not a board game family, but we love playing this a few times a year, and we get an awful lot of enjoyment from it. Still miss you TB.

I still remember when he first made the announcement about his cancer and it was kinda just a shock to think about. It's good to know that new people are still finding his stuff and getting enjoyment out of all the work he did, he lived for this and i like to think he passed with few regrets.

So nothing like "omg I just drew 3 fascist policies and I am handing over 2 to the chancellor". You're not even allowed to react with a face expression or anything.

Isn't it in the rules that the chancellor picks three and the president has the final choice of the two... and you vote for chancellor. That sometimes seems to not be happening and its annoying me...
Actually a choice would be better than two liberal cards, because with each liberal card gone, there is more of a chance of getting three fascist laws in one draw.
the president and the chancellors discard goes in the same discard pile though so how does that matter? The only reason to give someone a choice is to figure out their position.
The only reason that a choice would be better is that it gives you more information. It does however risk putting the blame on yourself if a fascist policy gets voted in..
this only applies in games with 5 players or only 5 players left (after deaths). If there are more than five players then both the president and chancellor are 'term-limited'
