- I went for a while without this handy tool. Then saw someone on UA-cam using one and it changed my life. (not really). IMHO, these ball link pliers are the ONLY way you should be removing your ball links..
You can buy from Horizon Hobby or Amazon. They are the Blade Deluxe Ball Link pliers $15-$16....
A tool for every job. Great ideas mate 🪃🦘🇦🇺
I have use them for years great tool to have in the your kit 😊😊😊
You know it Frank....
Thanks for sharing. I have been aware that special pliers existed - but I still have not managed to get one. My local hobby shop carries Horizon, so now I think I can do something about it! Thanks again!
Really enjoy helping you spend some money..
Yes they are awesome. Try pulling off a clevis with them..not easy. These make it much easier
I just used mine last evening to set up a new E-flite Viper 70mm EDF. They are indispensable.
Great tool.. Can't wait to see what you do with that Viper.. Such a fun plane...
Will I have the exact same set of BL pliers. SUPER handy.
Same here.
I had the same experience with the yellow handled pliers - not useful. I'll have to pick up the ones you've purchased, many thanks!
I have the yellow BL plyers guess I’ll have to get another set Thank You!!
Yes.. You do....
Great thumbnail 😀
Glad you like it Ross.. Btw, I need a picture of you on the Buddy box...😂
Hey Will, fully agree with you, thanks for sharing! Still the „big“ ball links are at least stable to a certain respect so that you can use other tools. On UMX planes, I assume that these pliers would be way too thick and large as well. And here it is pretty easy to rip the ball off the ruder horn with its tiny thread rather than separating the ball link. Did you by any chance also find such a small BL pliers? I failed on this so far.
I'll keep and eye out for the tiny ball link pliers...
@@SteffenRC thanks, Will!
