I always come to your channel when I feel as though I need to grow and evolve and you never disappoint. Getting rid of the ego based confidence for true confidence is a major stepping stone in self growth 💜
I love this. I struggled over a friendship breakup, because I felt like my values were always stomped upon and whenever I didn't fullfil hers it was always hell. I just have to tell myself that our values didn't align and it's fine. Thank you!
I feel like you can still have all of those "traditional" centres without necessarily deriving your confidence from them. Like, in what I *do* I can prioritise work/family/whatever. But bearing in mind that what comes back doesn't necessarily reflect on me. If I know I worked hard because work is important to me, then a sh*tty boss not recognising my work doesn't change that. As you say, it says more about them, than me. In any way, I feel like your centre should be the "road", not the goal, if that makes sense. Even if your centre is honesty or something. Get your confidence from _doing_ whatever you're centred on, not because other people recognise it, or because you achieve something with it. Words are hard haha, great video though.
Thanks! Yeah, I definitely have times where, as far as time management, I'm prioritizing work, family, friends, career, etc. without centering myself on them (which would mean basing my confidence and self-worth on those things). Having your center on the "road" matches this idea! Principles would be what guides you on that road and lets you know that you're on track, they determine the way you live your life, rather than deriving your value from achieving an external accomplishment or positioning your life in pursuit of those external things. Much healthier approach imo. Glad you liked it!
your shirt looks so comfy! some other youtubers link their amazon affiliates/shopping website (a.k.a., Dr Dray dermatologist, here is her like to know it page)...not that you have to do that or anything, you do you! ; )

Thank you, Khalilah! Yes indeed, difficult to separate yourself from the ego-centered mindset, but once you do it's so freeing
