I would still prefer Ariya instead of a Model 3 or Kia/Hyd alternatives in the USA because I felt they made good quality cars. Exterior wise Model 3 looks pretty old in three years. I don't know how Kia and Hyd are faring after a few years. I had a Maxima for 12+ years and never had any issues. I currently own a Pathfinder from 2013 onwards and it still looks and drives like new. My Leaf, despite some old style interiors, has an excellent build quality. Although dealer service fees can become expensive occasionally, but they are available as soon as you need them.
*Question:* Why is the charging port in the Ariya, and I quote _"...one of the worst locations to put one?"_ In the very front or at the very back are far worse positions as a rear end shunt or you getting pushed, or driving, into the car in front will almost obliterate any charging port you'd have there.
I think AC charging speeds are often overlooked, so good to see that mentioned here. Having the option to use a destination charger at 22kw is a bonus when you want a decent top-up when stopping for just an hour.
Also i had for 20years BMW interior Bmw for me is top, i'm glad that nissan made a big step as a japanese brand for interierior, usualy obly engine do good. I do the choice from eu car to nissan and i can ensure you it is deserve it

@@clipsonplextorfield3230 this car is far from the 'shltshow' you refer to, maybe just buy a nice ice-car mate, seems like you will always have some excuse for every EV you supposedly 'tested'.
@@clipsonplextorfield3230 I dident like the fwd Ariya on snow, but the awd Ariya was the best of all i tested. I tested most of the ev in my city, like Ford mach e, volvo c40, Polestar 2, subaru solterra, tesla y and so on. The Korean cars is not on my list, i dont trust the longevity on them.
This could have been a hit if it had been rushed to market back in 2019. But since then we have seen the Korean triplets (Ioniq 5, EV-6, GV70) with their fast charging abilities and V2L, and an army of electric Chinese SUVs that undercut the Nissan's price. You snooze, you lose.
I made 568 km with my Ariya and it was not in a city. That car is a very good car. I prefer that Ariya Evolve+ instead of any else electric car.

Its also good for Tesla charging stations.
But they saved $20 by putting it in the same place as in Japan!! 🇯🇵
@@kyliefan7 There's nothing wrong with where the charging port is. It's in good place. I don't understand why they thought it was in a bad place?

The big wheels are 20", not 21".
19" & 20" wheels, charger possithion is just fine
The purpose of sliding console depends of the human body that drives the car.
20” not 21” wheels
#22KW onboard is standard ... Please get the facts right.

You get what you pay for, the Ariya have alot of equipment (like one of the best Heads up display).
