Desiiiii ever since I found you, you've changed my life.
I also came to the point where I do the same look over and over again and I don't know why. Personally whenever I want to feel motivated and do something new, I watch different makeup styles from around the world, like indian, japanese, and european make up styles. Sometimes I even research some ancient makeup techniques & looks, victorian makeup, and ancient egyptian makeup lol. Or sometimes I go to instagram or tumblr just to find new stuff. I know this means nothing because I'm literally no one but sometimes you have to discover new things for you to create new things. You have to be hungry and passionate and driven. You got to love makeup all over again just like when you were starting. Love you, desi.

You could do an ALL drugstore makeup look. I mean ALL drugstore. From foundation to brushes. From eyelashes w/glue to lipstick w/lip liner. I have seen tutorials that use drugstore products, but either the lashes or the brushes used are not drugstore products. So to have an ALL drugstore tutorial would be extremely helpful! Thanks Desi! Hi..I'm a new subbie..out of the million plus you have, what's one more, right? Anywho, I don't have Twitter, but I'd love to add my suggestion.... I get inspired specifically by the colors in fish scales, flower petals and bird feathers. They seem fairly simply, but to try to create those colors out of the primary colors and white only always gets me out of my artistic blocks....Once I find that I can/can't create the color, a trip to A.C. Moore or Hobby Lobby's paint section puts me on a direction. Might I suggest you create a series on "Colors found in nature" and grab a National Geographic magazine or a book on Animals of Borneo and challenge yourself to either imitate the colors found with makeup you own or challenge yourself to create the colors while not looking caked on.

Hey desi! I'm currently obsessed with your channel because I'm trying to channel my inner "makeup guru" lol. I know this will be a hard question to answer because there's so many products but what are some beginners products I MUST have in order to beat my face?
+karina morales figure out what your skin type is first, and then try foundations that cater to your skin type. get a primer (maybelline's baby skin primer is a good one!) foundation (maybelline fit is me in matte and powerless is an awesome foundation for both dry and oily skin) blush (milani carries a bunch of great ones!) an eyeshadow palette, invest in somme good brushes (morphe carries a bunch!), and can't forget some lipsticks (my favorite are from colourpop!)

you should check out Alyssa Forever's channel too. I love her channel and she does some really gorgeous looks. I would say she has darker skin than Desi and uses different products for her skin.
