I really love how she has advanced so much in playing and how smart she is .but the biggest thing that I really love is the connection between father and daughter
Love it! So great to see the "little girl" part of Ellen "playing" with the "toys" of her blossoming craft. Then she straps on her bass and turns into a killer rockin' bass player. Keep having fun with your music and it will never get old. Rock on Ellen.
Besides Ellen being Ellen, I want to compliment Hovak for being such great father. As you can see on how they respond to each other, it’s not just during the videos. Mostly flexible, sometimes strict, very motivating and appreciative, giving so much energy. So, Ellen is great, but daddy too. I hope to hear another duet soon. Keep being you!
Love the paddleboard. I love watching her play she rocks. I don’t know how somebody that small can hold a heavy bass like that but she’s doing it and she’s too darn cute Rock ‘n’ roll Ellen!
Hello, precious! You're an amazing youngster with an amazing mom and dad. I love to watch how quickly you catch on to the lessons, not only the 🎼🎶🎶🎵 but the life lessons all of that translates into. Keep gracing us with your talent, Ellen!!!
Hi Hovak and Ellen. You guys do more than music. You help the rest of us get into, and stay in harmony with this world around us. I hope this is shared with all of your other subscribers. Peace.....and talk soon.
Great demo, thanks… Being able to use this kind of very light and simple rig on stage is a huge improvement in my opinion… It’s way easier than to set up a bulky and so heavy 8x10 cab with a full tubes amp 😅… Cheers from Switzerland 🇨🇭
I love the videos that have been made, but I also love the OPPS moments that happen showing the laughs and the reactions that Ellen comes up with. She always carries on. Music is supposed to be fun and enjoyable rather than a task to be performed. Waiting to see more music videos of Ellen singing an original....or a cover song. Penny Lane was a great choice. Go girl.
This is a great video, explains all about the pedal-board and amps. I was trying to find something like this for a few weeks. Thank-you so much. Hey Ellen you still are one of the best players on UA-cam! Ellen is full of JOY!
I think it's wonderful that you as a father is so involved in her musical career, and you let her choose her path of music. Just wondering, when you're not working with your daughter, what do you do for a career? I'm guessing you at one point you played in a band, because you are so talented. Your career Ellen is just going to keep rising to the top, just like the little star that you are. From a fan.
good job on video.....need to be more fluid in what you want to say! and ellen needs to talk more.... but i like her adventures!! ps i have been in those shoes before.... come up short and need to buy an amp or not playing long enough to have certain equipment....g...job young lady!
Yes. Ellen and Hovak hello from me. You are both incredible musicians and knowledge of all the equipment will be easier for Ellen as time goes on!!! 😊👍❤ Believe me, they might drift off from adult conversation but they are listening and absorbing everything. My daughter is the same!!! 😊
I couldn't help to notice Ellen u have a crave for cake what would u say is your favorite have u ever had chocolate rassbeerie had it one time realy my favorite
Thank you so much Ellen and Hovak I never knew a pedal board could do so much that’s amazing I have a recording studio here in Pennsylvania but everything is done through software plugins I use a Focusrite interface and Ableton 11 and the musicians can plug there guitars or whatever they play into the interface and I can alter the sound through the plugins. It’s amazing how far these pedal boards have become it’s like bringing a studio along with you to a gig. Thank you guys for the demo as well Ellen you are awesome I’m sure your dad will let you have a piece of cake I can’t do anything in the morning without my coffee ha ha.
Hey Hovak, did you/Ellen had the chance to try out a dark glass pedal? A befriended bass player uses one (forgot which model, should be an older microtubes one) and they sound really nice. (It can even save custom presets for easy access during performances) And Ellen, wow you really rock it out.
I always look forward to your videos. Ellen's technique inspires me to get better at my bass playing. I love seeing the joy in your face when you play. And thanks for the pedal board insight. I think I'm going to be purchasing ...Lol, some Amazon soon.
🔰🔰Congratulations... 100.000 🥰Here in Brazil, we celebrate with a cake! On your account 😁 of course. 👏👏 Thanks Steve Vai. I'm a drummer and my daughters like you a lot too.
Glad she is learning some 12 bar blues although she did find the stretch hard on her hands. She take very well to the Slap Bass!! With pedals like these many musicians opting to go Sans Amp which is French for Without Amp.
Ellen you are truly remarkable,I'm 66 and old,but I've seen a many musicians...you are headed for greatness...learn some "who"...you will enjoy pinball wizard ect. Wish you the best in life Christopher...
my UAD-2 Plugin bass rig Plan = Hi-Z--> Gallien Krueger 800RB, Fairchild 660, SPL Vitalizer MK2 T, Dytronics Studio D Chorus. i already have the middle two in the chain, and don't use the SPL for anything, so i am going to give the SPL a try and see if i can work with it in my bass tracking signal chain. ( i can catch the 660 HP with the SPL compressor ) it's just going to be mild tweaks on the SPL and D Chorus, but i am also getting the D Chorus for some mild thickening in my tracking guitar rigs, so the cost is justified.
Hello my friends, again so jolly to see Ellen's gestures when she has nothing or less TO DOOOOOO! Maybe she will ALSO become an actress in humorous roles. For your examples I even changed my headphone from Koss Porta to Sennheiser 580 to listen to nuances. But most of all I wanted to wish YOU a happy & healthy NEW YEAR and PEACE EVERYWHERE NOW!!!!! Robin
i am just going to measure my signal voltage, and get some high current zener diodes to strap across my output jack , ( series, cathode to cathode ).. the high current zeners soft clip. then a Tuner into a Pladask Elektrisk Feber into a Tech 21 NYC Street Driver 48
Hey there Ellen! You are learning.. Take some advice from a guy who played bass from 1976-2018. Arthritis took my bass playing ability, but I learned early on to pursue other interests in order to achieve a more balanced life. I have other things that bring me joy. I spent at least 1 hr a day practicing rudiments and tricky parts that eluded me. I played on the road for a few years and got really burned out, because I had been ignoring those other things I enjoyed and was hanging out with the wrong people too much; Not to mention I grew up in bars, and around bar flies. I started playing drums for money at 14. That was the year my parents divorced, so I was pretty much on my own after that. Now that I am 63, I can share these little pearls of wisdom with you. Take your time, it is not a race. Be consistent, dependable, and do not worry too much about life. We all have goals, and I set some for myself I was unable to achieve. Set realistic goals and remember, one day at a time. Ask your parents to help you if any of this is difficult to understand. I was a lot like you when I was your age. I did not have the tools, or support like you. Good Job!!
She is 10yo. Love you Ellen. Keep it fun. If you get really frustrated, take a break. The more frustrated you get at anything, the worse it gets. You start to force it. Nothing or no one likes to be forced to do anything. Watch Paulina Villarreal at 10yo playing drums. Watch to the end. ua-cam.com/video/MUAhV8K-v3A/v-deo.html. What you don't see. This was the second take. (Not because she made a mistake. One of the cameras failed.) She was devastated. Crying her eyes out. Her mother consoled her, calmed her down and got her to just do it again. [ Her mother's foot can be seen in upper left of the video.
I hope you don't mind me asking this but how do you EQ the markbass amp. I use a Little MarkBass III with a 410 cab. I really like the sound that you setup up for her. By the way, are those tapewound strings on her basses. Thank you so much. Keep up the good work. She sounds great.
I adore her. When she doesn't have a bass in her hands, she loses focus like any little girl.
As she should, she's a kid. a great musician but still a kid and that's OK.
She's a cute kid, I love seeing children learning to play guitar I think all kids should learn to play an instrument.
The thought clouds were a nice touch ✌ Ramen sounds good to me always 🙏
Love Ellen’s think clouds 😂😂😂. Thank you for sharing the setup..
She’s a genius bass player.❤
Watching you two is a lot of fun . Glad your out there .positive family fun is nice to see .
I really love how she has advanced so much in playing and how smart she is .but the biggest thing that I really love is the connection between father and daughter
To say the least, Ellen is Very animated. What a gift She is.
She still is able to be a kid and she plays and then she shows her skill but she is still being a kid. I love this!!!!
I agree 💯.
This is a blessed family.
Love it! So great to see the "little girl" part of Ellen "playing" with the "toys" of her blossoming craft. Then she straps on her bass and turns into a killer rockin' bass player. Keep having fun with your music and it will never get old. Rock on Ellen.

I laughed hard at these thought clouds (especially yogurtland 😂 )
Y’all always bring joy to me!
Very nice setup Ellen! Happy for you and your dad! 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
I liked it VERY MUCH. Ellen you and your dad are amazing musicians. Happy Holidays. God bless. Bye !!!
ELLEN, Your Performance with STEVE VAI (impossible guitar parts) was AMAZING! Not just for a 10 year old.. but for ANYBODY who plays bass.
Thank You ❤
Love the paddleboard. I love watching her play she rocks. I don’t know how somebody that small can hold a heavy bass like that but she’s doing it and she’s too darn cute Rock ‘n’ roll Ellen!

Hi Hovak and Ellen. You guys do more than music. You help the rest of us get into, and stay in harmony with this world around us. I hope this is shared with all of your other subscribers. Peace.....and talk soon.
I'm impressed how she learned that Bass so quick! Already on stage with Steve Via! 😲
Great demo, thanks… Being able to use this kind of very light and simple rig on stage is a huge improvement in my opinion… It’s way easier than to set up a bulky and so heavy 8x10 cab with a full tubes amp 😅… Cheers from Switzerland 🇨🇭
A unique playing of all styles on the bass and magic sounds by pedalboard 👏🤩
Ellen does really not care, she just wants to go have fun 😂😂😂🥰
That's kind of what I thought too. What a little character she is.
You know you are special, when the instrument that you play is bigger then you, well done.
all pianists are special then :-)
Laurel Hardy. The instrument she’s playing is a Sterling by MusicMan StingRay short scale bass. I’ve got the same one but in white.
Go girl.
Do some covers again with Yoyoka
Holy cow, she just goes from one style to another and still has fun
I loved the cartoon's thougths. well done :) I laughed like a child :)
Love the little thought clouds 😂
You sir are an awesome dad! Keep the musical support going!
Lol, I'm always thinking about food too Ellen. But not cake.
Nice little board, I appreciate the simplicity. It sounded good on the video with Steve Vai! Sometimes less is more and simpler is better
Loved the thought bubbles!
HAHA! Love the thought bubbles :)
Ellen's thought bubbles had me in stitches!
H🥰WDY beautiful Ellen! ...and dad! I'm a new(er) follower and subscriber.
Ellen... You're not just AWESME - you're a B💣MB bass player!
Wow! your slapping has dramatically improved!
This is a great video, explains all about the pedal-board and amps. I was trying to find something like this for a few weeks. Thank-you so much. Hey Ellen you still are one of the best players on UA-cam! Ellen is full of JOY!

How you guys doing finally someone is actually given instructions on effects which is a desperately needed to know about the compressor
The little thought bubbles were an unexpected and well touch of humor. And I do believe they weren't too far off from what Ellen was thinking about
I hope Ellen got her cake, yogurt and Ramen. Although, that's not the order in which I would eat them.
Who else loaded the Yogurtland website? :P
Yes. Ellen and Hovak hello from me. You are both incredible musicians and knowledge of all the equipment will be easier for Ellen as time goes on!!! 😊👍❤ Believe me, they might drift off from adult conversation but they are listening and absorbing everything. My daughter is the same!!! 😊

Hello my Angel 🙌😃❤️good Lucky ever

I love the uninterested in the technical details, but put a bass in her hands and it’s all smiles and business.
Nice! I have to say that is a lot of functionality in a small unit. I can see the reason you prefer these folks.
Ellen ready to eat 🍱! I know!
its time for "One of these days" by Pink Floyd🙃
Thank you so much Ellen and Hovak I never knew a pedal board could do so much that’s amazing I have a recording studio here in Pennsylvania but everything is done through software plugins I use a Focusrite interface and Ableton 11 and the musicians can plug there guitars or whatever they play into the interface and I can alter the sound through the plugins. No, even if YT doesn't display them don't click dislike! 😁
"MARKBEAST" 3:02 give an idea to Markbass to beat Darkglass
Hovak is a great musician, producer, and VIDEO EDITOR. He noticed that Ellen was far from the table and found a way to make an innocent humor.
Ellen reminds me of Ale of TW, 2 exceptional young bass players, keep up the good work Ellen.🎸🎸
I love that box / foot peddle. Don't know why it's called a foot peddle. Like the music. Right down my alley
Is the Aux Input Stereo, I was looking at the GK PLEX but heard the AUX input is mono so not good for hearing the dynamics of a song to learn BASS

He is an amazing guitarist.
Very good and informative!
