For me this is not buying a player for £65m, it’s spending £65m to get a back line of Tino, Guehi, Bottman, and Hall. Average age under 22, that would be a foundation of the team for best part of a decade which will become legendary when we win something. I hope we get him.
Potentially 3/4 of englands future defence.
I hope so, John.
- J
Isn’t it strange that last year we all said Livremento was miles ahead of Hall for the 1st team squad. But now we all think Hall is a definite starter whereas Tino is 50/50. IWhat I do know is we potentially have Englands future full backs on our books which is very exciting…. HWTL’s….
Agree!
- J
Guehi would/will definitely improve our team!
Thanks lads onwards and upwards
We've dropped £70 from the PSR cycle so even £70m for Guehi is about £15m plus wages. Easily another £50/60m for a RW. Would rather them both in now max out the PSR limit and if we dont sign anyone for a couple of windows going forwad then so be it we have a decent squad with both those positions filled.
£65 million spent on the continent will DEFINITELY buy a nailed on World Class defender. Guehi worth £50 million tops, never world class ceiling.
The English premium!
- J
I was surprised with the 4th offer but fingers crossed we now have a deal he will be a great player for us
Love the coverage lads keep up the good work
Thanks so much, Graham! Much appreciated 🖤🤍
- J
I'm gambling with Tino as my FPL RB!
Thing is that i remembered after the presser, PSR is actually gone, well changing to the new format next summer
If you think the player has potential and is right for your club and will fit into what your trying to achieve then he’s worth paying over the odds for.
He definitely isn’t worth £65m but agree with your point. I think it’s important they get him now.
- J
Definitely need a RW, but sadly I think we'll only sign a rw if Almiron is sold.
I think so too, Ste.
- J
We had better forward stats than defensive stats last season. This promising centre back is a key signing.
Replace Miggy, this window or next.
It feels like Miggy’s time has come, though I’m not sure he’ll leave this month.
- J
1270 views, I gave £1.99 think about, support these guys £1.99 is not even a price of a pint, show your love for geordiejournos
Thank you so much 🖤🤍

Never mind buying players the most important question is.... Have we got a TV screen we can see in the gallowgate corner installed.......
😂
- J
Brilliant video fellas 👍🏻 great point from Jordan about Tripper at right back, his quality on the right side especially in the final 3rd can’t be overlooked. Not only his assists but he sees/makes passes which other players can’t. Agree with Dom about a right winger 👍🏻
As long as he comes back a different player to the one we saw of last 8 months of the season. He was terrible but hopefully that was a blip
@@RoddieCole aye agree mate 👍🏻, I think substitutions are key as well this season, both Tino and Tripper can be very impactful off the bench 👍🏻
Thanks for watching as always!
- J
Eddie will make Guhie into a Superstar 😂
One 'flick' of the eyes to his left when 1st questioned about Miggy, suggests (to me) that there is a 'something' happening. Hope so!
Agree with Dom, RW is more of a priority than a RCB.
If Schar gets injured before Botman or lascelles are fit then it’s only Kraft that can come in.
'New season same old tripod' .... love it 😂
And same old terrible banter 😂
- J
Id walk away as quick as i could from this Guehi deal. Absolute waste of money spending it on a mid defender. The lad isnt exactly gash, but hes nowhere near botmans level and we only paid 35 for him. Palace just trying to embarrass us at this point. Id walk away on principle. Then get our saudi mates to pull all and any kind of sponsors they have with palace.
Saudi support just hasn't really been there. - L
persistance might pay off... we just need to wait and see
If this was a Mike Ashley era window we would all be kicking off at this unambitious window. We have brought in an injury prone free transfer and a relegated player who has ""potential" a couple goals keepers for no reason at all.
We've stood still when those around us have strengthened. It's like we are either trying to fail to push Howe out or something.
We've had 2 months to sort the RW position and have done nothing.
I hope I'm wrong and this window turns round but I am seriously concerned about the lack of ambition shown in the last 2 windows
Did we score loads of goals last season ??? Yes we did did we conceded too many yes so you decided where is more important than to strength my opinion I would center half is very important to me
is it just me or can we tell palace to get stuffed, there are better defenders out there for 65 million
Please do it’s nice to not to have to sell your players and that will only make the premiership better and stronger
Do you know what I like about the geordies they aren’t arrogant and can remember when times were tough for them
Thanks
Very kind! Thank you 🖤🤍
- J
Wonder what Lloyd Kelly thinks he’s already not getting a game on sat according to most . I can’t believe he doesn’t have the quality to budge burn out of the team . Burn will suit certain teams and is a legend for so many reasons but we need to be not so sentimental
I don't think he is 100% fit yet after his injury. I really like him as a player.
I think the palace chairman has no intention to sell to us, I’m sure he gave an interview when PIF bought Newcastle United and was a 🔔🔚 about it all
Parish actually called the PIF takeover a “fantastic news story for football”.
- J
@@GeordieJournos really I thought he slagged us off my apologies
Dear all,
Canny video as always👍
The guehi situation is a farce👎 He is not worth more than £40m, tops🙏I would rather prefer splashing the cash on a RW/RA player than on a CB who we don;t have a pressing need for🙏
Regards,
I think the RW position is more pressing. CB is fine when Schar’s fine.
- J
If Miggy doesn't go then there will be no new RW which I think is a big mistake
It’d definitely be an oversight.
- J
Come on guys. Trippier cost us at least 6 games during November and December
I know, which I did point out. But he’s still got plenty to offer imo, even if he may be slightly past his absolute best.
- J
Schar is a better defender IMHO, sure he's 32 but Van Dyk is older, Parish is making mugs of us so walk away, he has no intention of selling. At the minute we have Kelly, Schar and Burn all fit to play at Centre half and even Kraft who is more than capable of filling in.
Once Botman and Lascelles are fit we will be fine. Gordon like right winger please 🙏
agred would not pay that mouch for Guehi stupid english over prices like always, we can get 2 cb who is better or same level of Guehi buy from outsite PL, and realy dont se we desperat ned 1 more CB over a RW.
youre saying if we dont think the deal is good value we will walk away..we should've walked away when they dared to mention £50m + we are having our strides rived doon here if we pay anywhere near £65m....spend it on a right forward ffs
I think Jacob Murphy will do a job for us on right wing and deserves his chance - great content lads, as always
Murphy has definitely earned his starting spot.
- J
I think an owner group may push a front person forward to take media heat. But a 10% should never have last word on a deal hurting the other 90% So if a person speaks out of school moving a goal then its bad for relations Fair and positive stay out of the papers liek a Radcliff or palace did . Dont tamper with another's talent before a deals in is fair.
After Guehi, Branthwaite and a top class right sided striker for 2025/26 😊😊
That’d be nice 😅
- J
Liam Kennedy will be like a 'new signing' when he returns from his ban....
I'm back! - L
Right wing is a must. If Southampton have Almiron in their starting 11 come Saturday I don’t feel any threat down the right hand side. That’s how opposition teams must feel when we play them.
It’s the only position that hasn’t been strengthened since the takeover.
- J
Can't wait to see sandro again but not looking forward to seeing Anderson in a forest shirt ihope he does well with them just not against us
How can we improve RW if Miggy refuses to leave? Imo he’s burning Geordie bridges if he stays and yet again fluffs chances and doesn’t have another purple patch? It’s wor weak spot….
£80k a week for a 3 goal season output and 30. It is the right thing to do to move him on
Move him on yes but he has every right to stay. Its the same to hold the likes of players like Gordon to his contract. Works both ways of course. Miggy will want the best for his family. He'll just play less unfortunately.
@@kwanman5146 aye but he’s been offered a mega contract £££££ from Saudi so there’s protection for your family for life
@@antd6993 If your missus doesn't fancy it then nobody is moving. You also have to admire Miggy not to go for the big bucks. Even Saint has left Saudi.
@@kwanman5146 after a year of wages? Aye bag the cash St Maximum and run like f@#k😂
What trippier best attacking outlet compared to Gordon really?? 😮
Fair shout with Gordon but Trippier led the way for chances created and assists in the Premier League during the first half of the season so he was definitely a huge outlet in an attacking/creative sense.
- D
@@GeordieJournosif he’s the player of the second half of last season then Livramento should be first choice. If he’s the player of season before then he is
RW priority!
Just as well Eddie doesn’t read the online crap because there certainly hasn’t been any love shown to tonali by some individuals who quite quickly layed into him after the initial “Let’s hope he gets help”garbage wore off
Sandro has plenty of love. Social media isn't real life. Just heightened BS for the masses. Most of time it's a sewer.
I think 95% of the fanbase have shown Tonali A LOT of love. I hope he repays it.
- J
@@GeordieJournos Really.Well you certainly having been reading or listening to so called well known podcasts
You were overly critical of Halls performances last season now you appear to be turning that hyper critical eye on Tino.
Don't think we're being overly critical to suggest an established Premier League and England international in Kieran Trippier should start over a 21 year old with less than 40 Premier League starts to his name. We all love Tino, he is the future, but there's still plenty of room for improvement while Trippier is still around.
- D
@@GeordieJournos He came into the side last season and improved it. Tripps is fantastic but he had some very erratic form last season. Tino sitting on the bench for another year isn’t going to improve him, or the team.
Seemed balanced to me.
Wheres liam at these days the lazy sod 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂 he’s been a busy man!
- J
Not having a right winger come in would be tragic, what happens if JM gets injured?!..... we all know Miggy is not the answer
Agreed. - L
Guehi may come but Palace are taking the mick ,if they drag it out longer go for a replacement for Miggy instead
In all the years Almiron has been here he has made no effort to be a two footed player nor to speak English well. The number of assists he's had in all the years he has been here is pathetic. Newcastle have served him well, its time for him to stop being selfish. Anderson did what was best for the club, so should he.
Feels like it could be his time, this summer. - L
Boots are made for WALKING.-AWAY.
If the price ain’t right, Newcastle will walk away.
