Social Security is an entitlement? I thought it was our own money having put into the system our entire lives.
Technically LBJ had the bright idea of using it to fund his great welfare state, so now they have to get it from tax revenue and not from a lockbox (insert Al Gore saying lockbox in that TB accent).
That's the way they sold it in the early 1900s, when it was created. They also said it would never be more than 2% of your gross income.

Many locals in our area were turned away due expected time wait to be seen by the social security worker.
