Bag of Crafting, as far as I know, is only available to Tainted Cain.
It does not spawn on any pool, so this is likely the only way to obtain it for other characters.
Although the UI is missing, the item functions as usual. You can look up the recipes and get the items you like
Only one note is that you will lose the bag if you try to craft an active item.

for now it is unobtainable eventhough you can unlock it
Death Certificate's secret area misses a few items. Bag of Crafting is one of them
that's probably due to a bug, there's an achievement for the bag as tainted cain
So this is the one trinket that you have to avoid at all costs if you're playing as Tainted Cain. Good to know

Why? If you can break the gama 1st floor with b Cain you just need to have enough to give yourself the clicker and enough batteries. This way you can become b jacob or b lost and still win easy with every item in the game

@@Helikite I mean, it can turn you into a character that doesn't have a certain completion mark yet. That happens roughly once in eternity, or once in 40 clicks, but if you're breaking the game anyway it could be beneficial. That's actually how I completed greedier as tainted lost: I had just broken the game as cain and clicked myself into lost.

Considering that the Bag of Crafting is _supposed_ to be obtainable on other characters via its own unlock (beat Delirium as Tainted Cain), it likely will be added to some item pools once it's fully implemented (a few Repentance items are actually unfinished right now). Though it may have a reduced pool weight, since it seems like a really busted item.
For some reason I didn't know pool weight existed until you said that, I thought only the special item system did, which it was removed in Repentance.
I learn something new about this game each day.

Edit: Another one is Abyss, which doesn't have all of its synergies implemented yet.

Sounds a little weird that Butter can let Tainted characters lose their special items, wouldn't be surprised if they patched it.
Fun fact: this trinket is op with cain because when you find death certificate you are forced to do the "the forgotten" Run but with butter you can drop it.
And you have like all the most op item in the game.

Every item except for a few like dad’s note, death certificate, and some of the tainted characters items that do nothing with other characters. Also if you have a mod then the items in that mod are in the death certificate room

No. Changing characters from J+E deletes Esau and replaces Jacob with the new character.
When I first started messing around with Cain I realised how easy it is to get a game breaking run as him, like one you know a select few recipes you can make anything, the way I normally do it is I craft school bag, D1, car battery, then I go to an empty room and make battery pack and then just start duplicating the batteries and now I have infinite duplication of any pickup and then I go around filling rooms with certain pickups like I'll have a bomb room, soul heart room, nickel and dime room, and if you are missing anything you can just make box of stuff. From there you get to make anything and everything and I usually stack up a mama mega and R key and then I hypothesized that you could just use clicker and then get broken runs and unlocks for any character
As soon as I realized this, tainted Cain became my favorite character in any rogue like because of how much freedom you have, you can bind craft and have a rough time playing the game normally or you can just look up 5 recipes to get you started and then it opens you up to literally all items in the game being available
It's so fucking cool, it's almost like having a mod menu to spawn in whatever you need.

Sadly, the bag of crafting gimmick is exclusive for tainted cain, so eventhough you CAN have it with other characters, it won't work as supposed but rather it only has the melee option
Edit: Maybe in the new patch they fixed it, I tried it before and it didn't work, so perhaps they fixed the bug of the bag not working

According to the channel creator, although the bag's UI is missing, crafting still actually works! You'd just have to remember all the items. I haven't tried it out myself though.

So butter with tainted Cain means you can cheese boss kills with any other character. Just a matter of time until someone find a reliable way to do that
I believe you forgot Clicker in the equation because Butter with Tainted Cain means you lose your means of obtaining literally any item for the rest of the run, including the Bag of Crafting.

I think obtaining Bag of Crafting on different characters can be also done by using the Spindown Dice item on the Lemegeton item twice if you have unlocked Bag of Crafting and Flip and if you didn't unlock Flip then by using Spindown Dice just once.

Be careful, if you turn into tainted forgotten you will be unable to move, and if you have more than 8 items and turn into tainted Isaac the game will crash.

I was playing the april fools challenge yesterday and the bag of crafting showed up in the item room actually. It was just an HP up, but it still showed up.

This means, technically, you could do every completion mark with every character (excluding the beast), tainted and normal, as long as you get extremely lucky with mega satan void spawn for delirium, or just don't go for mega satan.
You can already do that with Clicker

I dunno if its worth mentioning but tainted isaac with butter is a very broken combo. You can infinitely cycle through your dropped active and a random item after each use. Also the active items regains all of its charges for some reason???
Since once it is rerolled it is a new item technically so it gains back it’s charges sooooo

How can you set this up? You need to find a pill, butter trinket specifically and take a ton of hearts to tank hits. If you craft anything else butter can take those items instead. In other words, it feels nearly impossible to get the bag on other characters.
Wait, does it work only on BoC? Can you get Recall on TForgotten with Birthright and drop it? Can coop members pick it up and use it to pick up the bones? Can you make a game of fetch with this bug?

So, that's the easiest way to complete greed mode with any character. With alabaster box amd steam sales abuse you can break the game with tainted Cain on the 1st floor, then get all OP artifacts and just use clicker to become tainted lost, for example. Or you can use some resurrectuon items to become "normal" character, and then become any of them using clicker. I think this will be nerfed very soon, so hurry up :)
and by "very soon" you mean "they already did"? alabaster box doesn't craft fully charged any more
the alabaster box got nerfed. Now the item comes without any charge (and requires 6 soul hearts to be activated). however, you can still get 4 steam sales or more and get infinite items a.k.a. infinite pickups...

Can you also get it with spindown dice? After you 'unlock' it (beating delirium with tainted cain), you sould be able to use spindown dice on some item to get down to item id 710 (like 'lemegeton' with id 712, that can be found after unlock with tainted bethany).
P.S.: that's just theory, i don't have all unlocks yet and don't want to use console to cheat, so i would be glad if anyone proves/disproves that
that wont work. when you reroll lemegeton, it turns into suplex (#709)

I started as Tainted Cain, I explore the floors, kill 2 bosses and skip the Devil Deal. (of course for God Head, Crown of Light and Sacred Heart)
It was Cave II, I found butter trinkets and I started crafting "Energy Pack and Clicker". I had only 2 batterys, I use one and I spawned as Lost, I'll use my last battery, aaaaaaaaaand... I spawned as Tainted Lost... *NICE!* i didn't wound any charges, I already explore this Cave, and I have a 2 choice's.
1) Take Bag of Craftings as Lost and hoping kill "The Beast"
2) Take Clicker and hoping respawn as another character.
I of course choice grab the Bag of Craftings, because I can craft "Blank Card and Holly Mantle" for more chances to survive.

I don't get it, it is possible to unlock it by killing delirium, but it never spawns, same thing with flip from Lazarus... what's the point of unlocking them if they never spawn?

Seems like it doesn't spawn because it isn't finished. There are a few other items like this (C Section, Tainted Lilith's starting item, is one of them).

Clicker made no sense to me when it was originally put in the game, but now that we have Tainted Cain and the R Key it seems like you could complete danm near half the completion marks on every Tainted character in one single marathon several hours run lol

ah yes so the game can just reroll all of those items when you leave the floor because of the gimmick of not being able to have those items or it would probably just give you other items instead of them when crafting with tainted lost

@@breezy3176 If it remains exclusively within Tainted Characters with Clicker, that's a bummer; however, I don't believe revival items that make you a certain character do so with the Tainted versions, so that might be a way around it.
well that means you can break the game with alt Cain and then change character to something like the Lost and unlock stuff

i got a glitched active item once (by using TMTRAINER) that had the effect of bag of crafting, i could swing it around and pick stuff up like normal, so yes you probably can use the bag of crafting (the gui for it didn't show up tho, and im not sure if I could've crafted things with it because i never tried lol :p )

The "unlock" doesn't actually make the item appear. Is one of those items that only exists for one character and don't actually appear with others.
