This history is absolutely amazing, knowing that humanity was at the brink of extinction, but pulled through. Hope that we can get a bit of that feeling in Halo Infinite. I miss that feeling of fighting hard against the covenant.
Pendragon While it is true that Master Chief was extremely important for the war effort (and he saved mankind, and perhaps even the galaxy, more than once), without the death of countless millions sailors and marines the Chief couldn't have succeed.
We owe the victory to all of mankind, not just to one man, as heroic as he may be.

At the beginning of the war, there were 39 billion humans galaxywide and at the end there were 16 billion humans left. The covenant killed 23 billion humans in 30 years.
Bad Blood shows it. Humanity's in even deeper shit with the Created than it was with the Covenant

Idea: do an episode where you describe your “perfect fleet”, with access to ships from Star Wars, Halo, Mass Effect, and/or other sci-fi universes.

Warden - I expect the reason that hasn’t been done is that mixing universes doesn’t really work. Technology and physics is inconsistent. We have no idea whether Star Wars shields are as strong as Covenant shield, or how many Star Destroyers you could buy for the cost of a Paris class frigate for example.
You'd just pick the biggest ships from the biggest IP, which would be 40K because it's absurd. I mean a fleet of Gloriana-class Battleships would shit on everything and anything.
You'd need to introduce constraints on tonnage, numbers, etc.

Eh, WH40k's fighters suck. Their drives suck. And only bringing big ships and guns is what destroyed both Death Stars and destroyed the Empire.
Yoj can easily improve every fleet by mixing it up...
Except that's only because Star Wars has this ludicrous WWII-esque system where Fighters are capable of killing Capital Ships, (in which case why the fuck is anyone deploying Capital Ships?)
But it's worth noting that when your shields, armour and firepower are as high as that of an Emperor or Gloriana Battleship, what a few flies buzzing around with photon torpedoes can achieve is surprisingly limited.
Fighters work in Star Wars because the Empire puts their shield generators outside the shield, and has manually tracked and aimed turrets for point defense.

They're doing the exact same bullshit. Worse, actually. Space isn't an ocean and slowly gliding past each other while exchanging broadsides is never going to happen.
If we argue that way, Honorverse will beat everyone anyway. Star Wars and 40k, lined up and ready for their usual shenanigans, broadsides, rammings and boarding actions. And a battle group of superdreadnoughts of the Honorverse, accelerating to c fractional speeds, launching their missiles millions of kilometers from their targets and then enjoying the show.
I love it when content creators that I am am both subscribed to do collaborations.

I don't know why he would do that knowing that the entire human race is engaged in a war with the fact that they are at a huge disadvantage unless he just gives up on humanity all together which I don't see him doing or if he got stuck on a planet with no way of contacting the unsc.

depends on if he thought he could be of any help, remember cole was rather smart and knew that if he couldnt operate at his best then all he would be is a liability as the higher ups wouldnt let him step down for moral reasons but him dying as a martyr would in turn make more people like himself appear in the younger generations. at least thats how i would look at it but then i may be over thinking this :P

I'm glad the UNSC was able to hold out for 28 brutal years and defend as much as they could but seeing the UNSC almost fall at earth....that hits deep and humanity was that much closer to extinction. I'm glad that didn't happen though, I'm glad characters like Johnson, chief and Miranda led what was left to victory even if it cost them their lives(except for chief).
Gotta admit I love the video, I love the Halo Universe and it was the first game I remember ever playing and always wanted more lore on the UNSC so thank you so much for the video and lore

Side note: THEY'RE NOT SAILORS, UNSC ships do not have sails, UNSC naval personnel are crewmembers, or crewers. (Sorry, I come from a Navy family so this stuff was drilled into me at a young age).
In my opinion, the UNSC Navy calls their naval personnel sailors if they want to call them sailors.
Two great channels coming together here. Both these channels have made lore videos, which in the case of some channels are just as effective to watch as to just listen to, that demand you actually watch the screen using great visuals. Great work!

The sad thing is everyone forgets the most bad ass element of the unsc navy aka the hospital corps. Becuase they volunteered to face the horrors of ground combat with the marines helping save the wounded marines risking there lives "that others may live"

This is not the crossover I expected, but the crossover I needed.
When your sacrifice is so epic, the navy names a protocol that helped humanity survive after you.
How is the story of the UNSC Navy ( especially during the human-covenant war) not been made into a series?! A harrowing war against an overwhelming adversary makes for some great storytelling. Take me to get to creative minds behind Babylon 5 and put them in a room with the creative minds behind Halo and we would get one hell of a show out of that. They are cheating themselves by not doing this.
Get the minds who made Star Trek & Battlestar Galactica, they know how to put space battles on screen.

I have been binge watching your channel Labber and love it, I am a major Halo fan, and also love star wars. The vs battles are nice.
Any how love this video and lore lay out for the UNSC. Outside the Lore and story when making Halo the Devs really incorporated a lot of IRL Military/Navy/Marine concepts. So you get a lot less " This is Humans with hyper technologies" and you get a lot more " This is what would happen with are current technology if we keep are current path". Weapons for the most part are designed around Human to Human combat. When the Covenant showed up, in short we wasn't ready.

I hope something like the UNSC can someday become a reality is humanity's future. Something like this is truly necessary to insure the survival of the human race. Globalized governments would most likely need to come into play first, which I know a good amount of people are against for some reason.

(30th request) 1 CAS Class Assault Carrier with 4 CSS Class Battlecruisers and 4 SDV-class heavy corvettes VS 1 Bellator Class Super Star Destroyer (yes i look it up and the Bellator Class has Fighters about 100 of them) 4 Imperial 2 class Star Destroyers and 4 Dreadnought Class Heavy cruisers (theses ships use to be Victory 2 class Star Destroyers but that would give the Empire too much an edge in the battle so i made them Dreadnought class Heavy cruisers instated too make it equal in a way)

Anyway, please do a Halo SPARTAN fireteam (Blue Team?) versus a Tenno kill team from Warframe, the best universe you’ve never heard of (the exact Tenno are up to you but I’d go with Loki, Valkyr, Trinity, and Banshee with a decent spread of weapons).
I got spooked when the intro fissled like that. At first I thought I got hacked.
