Ja ist doch klar, dass die neuere Technik besser vorwärts geht, dennoch ist der neue 400d ein 3l Diesel, wenn man dem 420cdi Stage 1 verpasst wird's schon enger zusammen mit der 7g-tronic.
Der 420er läuft auch mühelos hunderttausende Kilometer. Ob der 400er das auch schaffen wird mit seiner hohen Literleistung, der Euro6 Norm mit entsprechend aggressiver Abgasrückführung, sei mal so in den Raum gestellt.

Years ago my dad was saying same for 2000' cars and my grandad for 90'... live long enough to see how people will say that w213 was "the last good benz" and people after for the next model...
it will for sure, ive seen plenty of w213s, taxis mostly that have reached way more than 344k km with its original engine,ive had a 2017 e220 and also a 350d and they had close to 160k miles, running smooth as hell no issues whatsoever
@@erionhodaErionhodathat's abt 50k miles of difference that's more than 4 years of ownership, and 7 oil changes ... Pretty sure that v8 never had a timing issue, cause the components were built for torque unlike today's cars in general, where the first weak point is the timing chain, take the n57 from bmw for instance, if you don't change your oil pump and chains also the bearings, it's toast and you've to either rebuild the engine or get one from a salvage car ... Unlike the m57 which was in the e60 where people hit the 200k miles easily and went on to the 300k ... Modern cars are shit and became more abt marketing, making shit load of money and lookd rather than just build quality, looks and making a reasonable amount of money ... Sad really and the thing abt taxis it's not that they don't have issues it's that they actually take care of it before it happens ... I don't take taxis as proof of reliability rather the opposite, they're the ones that are prone to have a lot of breakdowns and must maintain them before that happens cause it's how they get their living and how they can afford the maintenance, you should ask a taxi driver how many times they had breakdowns vs a taxi with an older model etc etc, in these days people who their timing chains aren't changed are considered the luckiest (talking abt high mileage modern cars) cause there sure have been a very thorough inspection for their build quality on thosr

@@ivoivanov6974 You're probably right, my mechanic says that any car older than 10 years is reliable because the mechanics became familiar with it.

I have the 400d W213, and I reached 405000 km and it works perfectly
