i love that ending. Where grace picks up the hat and the two kids run by and she nods to the police officer,,,, it's just beautiful, the simple things.
Agreed!
It is true that Sandy did not travel on a plane. In fact, there were two "Sandys," and their real names are Mikey and Oliver. Oliver was the "understudy" or "backup" dog, AKA the "Underdog." They had their own handler and traveled everywhere in their own personal van, of which they were quite fond and protective.
i am playing annie at temple civic theater this feb. :)
I bet that scene was more fun to watch than it was doing it
wonderful
Was this the tour that featured Mackenzie Philips as Lilly St. Regis?
Haha David Barton goes to my church. Woot woot!
@homieG1011 david barton is my drama club director. we did annie this year.
so cute!! 7:25
Where are Phil Lang and Laurie Beechman when you need them?
Eh, this newer arrangement doesn't build to the same momentum that the original did. The whole "Runyonland" sequence in the middle is unnecessary.
MrPoochsmooch i
Do you have "I Think I'm Gonna Like It Here"?
@homieG1011 annie is a hard show to do! ask any singing teacher about how many girls have ruined their voices by doing the show, and theyll try to change the subject. i agree, im sure there was a beter girl for the role. and i agree, warbucks was great! it is a national tour after all
Does anyone know where I can get the full show of this
@bmbellan The Sandy definitely did not travel in a kennel on a plane. The dogs were taken care of with exceptional care. Don't speak about something you have no idea about.
@wahi58 same here :)
@TheAmoskd Woops! Sorry! I was probably stupid and thinking out loud when I wrote that comment. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, because I don't really know what I'm talking about. Thanks for correcting me :(
No matter how they try, this song doesn't work as well without the treadmills of the original production. And the 2 girls who run across as Annie is carried off had a very important job. One would crouch to tie her shoe lace ostensibly, but actually dropped a treat for "Sandy", who came on onto the bare stage and went to his spot, had his snack, and then left. This one didn't need a bribe, obviously.
@jackguy22 Mikey is our dog!
"Star to Be"...ummmm
our sandy is played by a person :D probably in a bear's costume ^^
@thisisryanblood haha your comment is so paradoxical. just that it is a national tour makes it ten times better than community theatre. if by 'drops' your referring to back drops, then your mistaken, they are better than any com theatre could wish to hope for! community theatres would be lucky to get half that stage! how bout watching the community theatre recordings of this song, then watch this again, and apologise for how delusional your comment is!
why the grace dont sing her part
well maybe because we didn't have a dog then? Sandy playes a tiny role and that would be you're only reason to miss great singers?! btw we got a dog in the end, and it was lovely!
@boyblue922 wow that was mean. The dog is only in a few scenes, so why would that mean the entire show is bad? Maybe it's really good.
why the hell would the dog be played by a person????? For sure that I don't wanna see your play!
Poor Dog! Having to travel in a kennel on the plane, because he's a part of the Nat. Tour! :(
You are an idiot.
Annie is one of the worst musicals to become so well-known, yet I adore it. Look at those drops! It's ridiculously bad. Every production may as well be community theatre. And I love it.
this is way to weird!!
sounds good! annie:/ isnt that good though but warbucks was haha!!!
I saw this tour production it was dreadful
