We are a lot the same. "Get the job done" and it will perform as well as the guys who are still worrying about are the panels inline, square to 1mm. Enjoy the extra recharge power you earned it installing on a hot day.
I've got over 5,000 watts on my coach, which is just about right for my needs. I guess having too much solar is like having too much money - an impossibility. 😉
4200 watt pv I can run 1 rooftop ac and charge bank with 20-25 amps on good sunny day.I’m installing a 38 seer mini split 9k Btu 230v.So now my 120/240v inverter should run 120v rooftop and 230v mini.I hope! I didn’t know the 6k inverter would only put out 1/2 power at 120v when I bought it.😮
@@2hotscottpro The idea of that 6k inverter is to use it on a 50a RV using one leg (the black wire) to power 1/2 your circuit breaker box and the other 120v leg (the red wire) to power the other half, giving you 3,000 watts per side. Yes, you can connect red and black to get 240v out of it for your mini split. My 12k, 28.5 Seer-2, 120v EG-4 mini split only draws about 1/3 what my 14.5k Furrion rooftop does, so your 9k unit will only draw perhaps 1/4 of what your rooftop uses. You won't even know it's running. My MH came from the factory as a 30a RV but had been rewired to a 50a when I bought it. I use a 5,000w inverter with only one hot leg, so I just connected both red and black power wires together leading to my circuit breaker box to the single 6awg (45a) black wire exiting the inverter. Since the existing wires are also 6awg and big enough for 50a per leg there's no danger of overloading any circuit. The downside is I had to disable the red wire on my 50a power cord as it enters the transfer switch, just like a 30a adapter does so if I ever plug into a 50a pedestal again (doubtful) I can only get 50a total out of it, not 50a per leg. However, this is more than I will ever need as I have been living off grid on 45a for the last 19 months with no problems.

great job my friend!!! something I need to add to my system too.
Good job! You can never have too much solar.
Good job! Nice to watch this video including your human error. Do not edit them away in the future too.
I dunno man, not sure you've got enough solar 😂
