The vehicle I learned to drive in when i was in the RAF in the 70's that had very worn steering box that made it wander all over the road. You are missing the gun rack mounted below the wind screen and also spare wheel mount in the tub. Great memories.
Super yet everything is new. I'd prefer character and patina; with your expertise. The (reasonable) cost of this build must be $100K++, well beyond the reach of us everyday folks.
The reason to drive such a car is that it has absolutely no electronics that will fail. But interesting... I have the exact same mileage (and top speed) with the stock carburetor but others even as low as 20 mpg (perhaps without city driving).
The Dutch Light Weight had the Axe resting under the bonnet. The shovel and pick Axe (never use one myself to) hanging on the tailgate. But this is also a Nice solution !
I saw you use Rocky Mountain door tops, what is the advantage of theirs to buying NAS Defender ones besides cost? Are you generally happy with them as a replacement for series vehicles?
@@porteog I'm sure they will let us know. Most Land Rover enthusiasts are keen to share info on our beloved vehicles. The Holley efi kit is either the bbd or the 2gc as these are the two models that appear the same as what is shown in the video.
No roll gage ? the tubes of the canvas hood can not handle the weight of the car in a roll over for sure. I admire you eye for detail on all of the projects so far.

Was the sniper used on the 24v system?
Great vid, thank you. Does the Holley Sniper bolt directly to the existing manifold or did you need to make an adaptor plate? Thanks!

Where do I get those speakers for my lightweight ?
Are you using an aftermarket intake manifold to fit the Holley Sniper EFI BBD?
It would be great to know what Holly Sniper kit was used and as you say, how it was fitted to the intake manifold
