Hello all, this is Danny Muhammad Iim playing the steel guitar in this particular video. Somebody asked when and where it was done. This was in Austin upstairs where they film Austin City Limits, in March of 1991. I only know this because I was there...hahaha.
Danny,, How nice for you to give us a little history. I’m sure you must have enjoyed playing for him. I love the steel sound. No one seems to use it these days , one reason Country music is not the same. Are you still playing and did you play with Ray Price until he passed away? Thank you

Ray is my most favourite singer of all time as I’m 85 yrs old . When he started singing & I was able to listen him I continued to get him now on my computer thanks to youTube
Agree. I am 82 years old. Ray has been my favorite singer since I was a teenager. Love his voice. The world of country music will never be the same without him.
Ray Price by far the best western swing vocalist there is and has been. Love his band backup. Rode horses up the valley in El Paso. On way home loved to listen to him. Nothing better.
Always neat to hear others memories about ray price. I’ve had many a night playing album after album after album. Me and All my rodeo buddies will tell you ray was, and still is the best in country music. If ray didn’t bend your heart strings those Cherokee cowboys sure would!
The fiddle player is Gene gazaway the drummer is Tony Ramsey the guitar player is Daryl pace. And one of the other fiddle players in the string section is Glenn Brothers. The string players we're called through the Union for that particular engagement and I don't remember their names

who are the Musicians been around Muhammed in Nashville and the Piano player looks familiar maybe pleyed on Ricky Skaggs live in London album some years ago? Anyone have a list of these musicians?
I have no idea then, except I probably took the date off the VHS tape label. It was home recorded so maybe they recorded it from a "repeat" on TV. No idea. How do you know the date of 1991? Maybe you found something I couldn't find?
