this vid helped me out greatly I have an 05 navigator and bumped another guys mirror and mine popped out and was hanging on by the heated electric connectors and I snapped it back in so it wouldn't hang or rip the electric wires I got a new mirror now I can take it out correctly instead of popping it out like I was about to this saved me because the Ford dealership would've hit me up I don't see how your vid got 7 dislikes like how can a self-help video warrant a dislike? people are crazy.
This is one hillbilly that's happy to find your video, I haven't seen anyone show those tiny clips holding the mirror to the motor until you did. It doesn't come up in search results as fast as the one minute video where the doofus puts his fingers in the gap and yanks the glass off the motor. I'll bet he has made Ford a bunch of money because most people break the mirror trying to get it off without releasing those clips. Your video would have been perfect if you could have found a cameraman. By the way, that's not an Allen or hex wrench head screw that holds the plastic lens on the bottom, it is a T15 Torx or star screw... but whatever works! My mirror wasn't broken, but I had to use your video to remove my mirror because I had pulled the lens apart on the bottom to clean out the crap that built up inside it, then I had to glue it back together, used too much glue and couldn't remove it again to change the bulbs.
Thanks for the reply. I just remembered that I was wrong about the size of that mirror lens screw, it is a T10 Torx. I had to remove the inside door panel, and the two screws behind the armrest, under the popoff panel are the T15 screws.
