"I feel a great sense of having a purposeful life, and I'm very very fortunate to be a part of that." - Master Chief Paul Tharp That right there is one of the reasons why I want to become a SEAL and go through the hellish training pipeline. I want to be an old man one day, and know that I lived a life that not to many people get to live. A life of adventure and risk. Serving the best country in the world. That's what I want, and I'm going to fight to the death to achieve that goal. Let's get that SEAL contract!
lol he just wrote that horny one night..do you think a guy who wants to be a SEAL is commenting and writing how much he wants to be a SEAL in youtube videos? Also in my opinion you don't choose to be a SEAL..you are born to be one
A navy Seal isn’t thinking about training once you get threw buds that’s the last thing they think about man buds isn’t anything compared to what takes place after that
Haben die Navy SEAL überhaupt eine Schmerzgrenze? Wohl kaum. Das macht sie so einzigartig. Die letzte Einstellung ist der Hammer. Do Navy SEALs even have a pain threshold? Hardly. That's what makes them so unique. The last shot is awesome.
Mick Funny I heard they teach seals to saddle the sharks and taxi them to shore. And then they tie them off to a rock and ride them back to the ship. And when they get to the ship they put a tracker on the shark so they can use it next time
wow looks hard work..the swimming part u have to be good too...train hard to be a seal too...for those who did it...congrats...honor n respect for the good work u done to this country
this sounds AWESOME!!! makes me regret being at college. i'm an outdoors active kind of guy and though i am loving uc berkeley, it can get tedious not haveing a challenge or any close friends up here.
I'd imagine that the JTF2 is just as good and tough. Probably won't do as much maritime, but I'm not sure. The Canadian military is grossly underrated. Good luck
When I served I was once in a rag outfit at NAS Jax and knew a AO (SEAL). he was newly checked in but assigned to be with the AWs. His rocker said Seal Team 2 and I never asked him what he was doing with AWs, because I was an AO also but figured it was none of my business. He was a second class, anyway we had the PT test one time and we usually would run at a place the squadron had reserved which was called perimeter road, it's basically a road that circles the whole base but it was shut down due to construction. So we had to use the flight line before flight ops started later that morning. This guy just played with everyone, he was in last place looking like he was struggling and all of a sudden he just took off, shattered the squadron record the first time he ran it and he wasn't even breathing hard when he stopped.
@@darktoadone5068 it's a little exaggerated, ofc. Seals ARE phenomenally fit. The guys in DEVGRU even more so. Is this story possible? Yes. Plausible, even. Perhaps even probable. Thing is, not all seals hold themselves to the same fitness standards, or even the same kind of fitness standards. Some are wiry lean and can run for days. Some get big and burly and justification is you need to be strong to haul all your gear up the rope from the side of the ship. Does the wiry guy not haul up the same gear while being small? I'm not saying most seals. Only some.
Im doing the Extreme SEAL Experience next year. I know i have the potential to be something great. Many have told me. I was thinking about being a marine or seal. still havent decided but the SEAL contract is fucking sweet.
Me too. Once my contract is finished with the Marines, I’m going to switch over to the Navy and get a SEAL Contract, then go to to pre-bud/s, BUD/S, then I go to SQT. After that, I’m a Navy SEAL
@TheRallycrossKing SEALs do all the most important and secret missions. You dont usualy here about the missions unless somthing goes wrong (Doesnt happen much) or if a retired seal tells people about it.
That's all and great but you have to want it. You have to be prepared for pain. Each day will suck and you will wake up tired as fuck and sore. Be prepared for it.
Its not the bullets, its the mechanics of the firearm itself. The military can afford exceptional firearms that can function perfectly even after being submerged. Earlier firearms cant do this; the rounds simply fire into frame and the chamber exploads.
Caveat. By all means, get out there, train hard, push your boundaries, leave the ordinary mortals behind, repeat and repeat, you feel invincible. One day, your body WILL start to fail you, little by little, more and more, twinge becomes niggle becomes ache becomes pain becomes failure. The day WILL come when your body can't do it anymore but your mind wants to.
Master Chief What are your feelings for using a combat swimmer stroke in triathlons? Is it less efficient or impractical? I’ve never learned the stroke and in a snake swim it definitely would be a bad idea I feel.... but in an open water swim I was wondering if it is worth putting the time in to learn? I’ve done ironman and do about 8 triathlons a year. 43 years old. Thanks
I'm definitely not as experienced in ironmans as you nor have the swimming capability of Paul Tharp, that dude is a beast, but the main point of CSS strokes is to reduce body profile, splash and to be a more stealthy, less visible/noise way to swim. It's a great recovery stroke tho. But I doubt that it can compare to the sheer speed of freestyle in those events... But it still is a great swim stroke to learn. I'm a certified lifeguard instructor in Brazil and I always teach CSS to more intermediate swimmers, and sidestroke in general in my opinion is the most versatile/helpful stroke in survival situations. Cheers and sorry for the late reply.
I love this video. Amphibious Warriors : It's common sense which in modern times the majority of the population have a serious deficiency. Take care of your body and your body will take care of you. :)
@strawberrrys Well, until recently you must have served I think it was 2 years in the Marines before you could even try out for a Recon Billet. And the length of the training for MARSOC (Marine Special Operations School) is I think 7 months, for all the skills needed. However that time goes up depending on what other A schools the Marine attends.
I’d like to quit smoking, from the fact that nobody cares about me to the point that I’m living with a mental illness I don’t know where I’m going with life, currently my biggest concern is how people think they can hold a thought about me
Running, running, and more running. Then cold, wet & tired for long periods; but you get to blow (stuff) up! Did I mention that with proper classroom education and field training YOU GET TO BLOW (STUFF) UP!
In buds, there's a training exercise where they SHOW you videos of violent sharks before you have to swim across the San Fransico bay at night with a swim buddy. Is it likely? Not at all, it's just meant to leave that doubt in your mind and psyche put the guys who don't have it to put themselves in harms way.
Kinda.. Hes the head of Pre BUD/s over on NSTC.. SOCS Rhoades is the head of our DIVEMO staff. DIVEMO trains recruits for the most part, and fucks with us whenever they want, heh. SOCM Tharp takes over if you go across the street for pre BUD/s
I would LOVE to be a SEAL, but i have a problem with sharks, from a horrible experience at a young age. Can anyone help me or give me info on how to remove this mental block?
There are sharks in the ocean now.. You can be a master swimmer going for hours but then get eaten by a shark! In "war" there are 3 teams. Friend, foe, wild animals/mammals/fish.
@strawberrrys no sir the training of the force recon is more like the airborne rangers only of the water there are way more people in force recon much more than the seals team it shows how elite the navy seals are.
@emsavpl: They are working on there mental capacity (motivation). That's the whole goal of this video (and recruitement). It would be worse if they were looking ad a Britney Spears video. Don't you think, sir?
good luck bro! im either gonna be a marine 0311 (infantry) and work up to force recon, or shoot right for the big boys and join the navy to try out for SEALs.
If you have doubt in your mind you cannot achieve. You know the danger of becoming a SEAL and you do your best to problem solve situations. Even Sharks my friend.
I can run mile so fast that I can without being tired, I can run 10miles for fun, I can dive 50m easily, I can swim endlessly without getting tired, I love cold water and carrying logs, I can be underwater 2min without breathing, im strong, im mentally tough..
That clip of him at the end swimming in the open ocean is one of the most badass things I've ever seen.
I'm telling you bro !
Dude was swimming in the middle of the ocean . How is that even possible
Seriously tho...
and not only that, he was swimming against the swells
Actually, it's another level.
Did the ironman with this guy - he's one of the greatest men I've ever met. Keep up the great work, Paul! You're amazing!

CathayGuy you mean being a servant for corrupt government leaders makes you feel as if you have your purpose? life's not a contest.
Existent David it’s about the brotherhood, navy seals have the strongest brotherhood on earth and are willing to die for each other
This takes another breed of guys, i could never do this, they are amazing how much they go through and how detremend they are
Gotta admire people like him. Straight up determination
it just takes a certain sort of man to do this. they deserve all the respect in the world
This guy is badass. I have the up most respect for SEALS and the work they do.
this guy and David Goggins, is who i aspire to be, also.. have you seen David Goggins video like this 1
whiteout130 he has one for running
Add Jocko Willink , Clint Emerson , William H. Mcraven
This comment was posted 11years ago, when no one knew who Goggins was, crazy
You can see the stress that SEAL training puts on the body when you look in the face of a SEAL
Mac that’s not subjective 🗿
A navy Seal isn’t thinking about training once you get threw buds that’s the last thing they think about man buds isn’t anything compared to what takes place after that
This guy looks pretty healthy for a 42 year old. I’d have to disagree with you.
That dude isnt swimming, water just likes being around him :)
Id be scared of sharks swimming in the open ocean like thT
Milkyzx they actually teach SEALS to punch sharks in the nose
Mick Funny I heard they teach seals to saddle the sharks and taxi them to shore. And then they tie them off to a rock and ride them back to the ship. And when they get to the ship they put a tracker on the shark so they can use it next time
It's a typical advertising promo appealing to non-critical mentality only.
Shark's are scared of Navy SEAL's
Whats the baclground song i love it
This video is intoxicating. Inspires me to a better a man.
💪💪
He reminds me of one of sarges in bmq. Awesome mentally tough man more physically fit than 95% of the young guys.
wow looks hard work..the swimming part u have to be good too...train hard to be a seal too...for those who did it...congrats...honor n respect for the good work u done to this country

I hope more will take the challenge to be a Navy SEAL. We sure need more of them more than ever for sure.
Did I earn the Medal of Honor 🎖
Awesome. Just remember it's up to you to decide how much you are capable of, not your peers. Put in the work and you will see results.
