Hi ! I allways wanted to breed Dragon flys - there larva eats a lot of Mosquito and adults eat flys , sometimes you can see the Buffalo surrounded by Dragons catching blut suckers .😊
I wasn't aware that the adults are flies.... brilliant. We have lots on the land. They love to follow the goats when they're out on pasture. An easy meal picking off the bugs that the herd disturbs.

After watching one of your videos a couple of years back, I tried breeding crayfish. I caught a dozen or so at the local lake. Not sure what I did wrong but after a year or so ended up with one really fat male.specimen.
Hi guys. When you put them in the pond, do you have any trouble with predators? Are there fish in the pond that will eat them, or wading birds that like a snack? On a different note, after drawing a blank for ages, ive found a pet shop that sells Alligator Gar! I've ordered 10 x 3" babies at 90 baht each. It going to take a few years to grow them large enough for angling, but I'm a patient man! If 50% survive, ill be happy!
@@chriscrookson8524 a climbing perch got in but there's so many glass Shrimp in there he can't make a dent in their numbers. We have 5 Catla & 5 Asian Silver Carp but they're not interested. The ASC are filter feeders and the Caltas are happy on floating pellets. Birds tend to go for the snails at the edge.
It's why we beed them in the tanks & then transfer them once they've reached 2"+ The reason it's so deep is because it was originally a tilapia pond. It's fine for growing them to eating size. During the Dry Season it still maintains a depth of 1m+ (better suited for ARC breeding, but we don't want to dig another pond.)
i have a female breeder this is the only one female left she is 7months old i think i i did not make her grow to the right size.if she got berried does the craylings will grow small also.thanks

@@TeamDNFracing if you buy anymore bikes you can start up a motorbike taxi company! Toon is doing really good thanks mate. She's off the painkillers now 👍👍👍
Yes it's fine. Crayfish don't need much depth of water and like to climb out on to rocks and plants during the night. If we had a colder climate/ seasons we'd raise them in deeper water & install a heater. You don't have to run a filter for crayfish, depending on the stocking density & amount of feed being introduced. We generally just run airpumps for circulation and carry out monthly water changes. We only drain, lightly brush and rinse the tanks before refilling. Hope this is of some help. Cheers Leigh.

Thank you, thanks really great to hear.

If kept in an aquarium with filtration, their colours appear fluorescent. Absolutely stunning.

Thanks for that Jamie. These redclaws are awesome to keep. Even if we didn't raise them for food they're still fascinating to watch have as a hobby.

Lol. Stocking levels, feeding & hiding places are the 3 main things we focus on. They'll always be a bit of 'nibbling' going on though 🤣

They're definitely one of our favorites. BBQ with chili, garlic butter & tom yam soup are great with them.

Zero that evening, but there's a Yabby BBQ on the cards soon!
In the American south they're called mudbugs :D
Never has a crustacean had some many names 🤣🤣🤣

They certainly are Brad. One of our BBQ favorites.
nice vids,,,how many male did you put in one breeding tank? I mean what is the ratio?
Thank you very much. We stock 2-3 males with about 20 females.
I'm interested in breeding these on our farm in Nakhon Nayok 👍
They do really well out here. We have more details on our website (link in the video description.)
i have a female breeder this is the only one female left she is 7months old i think i i did not make her grow to the right size.if she got berried does the craylings will grow small also.thanks
Don't worry, at seven months old she isn't full size. Young females don't produce small craylings, they just produce less of them.
All should be fine.
Does the concrete retain water or did u do anything special to seal it
The cement is mixed with fine sand and then buffed repeatedly during drying until the surface becomes shiny & waterproof. Works a treat!
