They didn’t even mention how freakin’ amazing the music is in this game.
This game has a great soundtrack, but we can't even hear it cause they have the setting for the game volume so low.
This was one of my childhood favorites. I remember testing random password combinations and stumbling upon "skip to Dracula" long before I was good enough to get that far properly - I actually beat Dracula before I beat Dracula's castle! Good times.
Absolutely love this game. All around great. Soundtrack, gameplay, everything!
One of the absolute best soundtracks on GB, it's so fantastic. I can listen to Dark Messiah for hours.
Too bad is mostly lost with that darn Retron 5. The little you can listen to it in the video sounds quite off, not to mention the pseudo-transparency effects are lost with those crappy filters. Go back to the SGB, dammit!

I agree. I think that Mike is the best at gaming related content and James the best at movies.
Mike's playthroughs are really fun. That's kinda odd, because I don't like how Mike acts with another person besides him, especially when he starts shouting or making voices.

They make a good point when they say that in the old days you'd play the same game for a long time, but nowadays there's too many coming out every day to ever play them all fast enough. How times have changed.

Skyward Sword's sky was barren, that was one of my biggest disappointments. And the game fools you because after you leave Skyloft you go to the Lumpy Pumpkin which sets the stage for how spacious the sky will be. But there's nothing else.

I was expecting Skyward Sword to BE what Breath of the Wild is. With a game like Skyrim that had come out around the same time it HAD to have some kind of massive open world. But no. The sky was mostly empty and somewhat small and the ground was made up of walled off and somewhat narrow regions. Fuck I was so disappointed with Skyward Sword.

Only because the producer who wrote the timeline (IGA) didn't like the idea of having a female Belmont, or Alucard being Trevor's father. Ironically, the story he created for the Castlevania prequel Lament of Innocence makes even less sense than Legends did.

Yes...this was the fist Castlevania I ever played. I remember struggling with the final castle bosses, and beat the game maybe only once. But I've always liked it a lot, especially the music is awesome.

I think Austin Powers can't become dated. They kind of take place in an alternate movie reality in a time period that never really happened.
Please really play castlevania legends mike. I dont know why, but I really enjoy watching you play old castlevania games. I think because I wasn't good enough to beat them. So i can finally see the end of games I couldn't beat as a kid. Kind of like when I watched the ghouls and ghosts avgn episode. I played that game religiously as a kid, but never got past level 4

This is my favorite of the Castlevania games from the OG Game Boy.
This is one of my favourite Gameboy games in general, I don't think I enjoy any other platformers on the system as much as this. Just the right amount of difficulty for someone like me who sucks at platformers.

Actually, Soleiyu seems to be the japanese pronounciation of the french word "soleil", wich means "sun".
It's kinda make sense as he is a vampire killer and vampires hate sun, I guess.
I mean, it makes sense, but considering how much they change to English translations, they could have just called him like Paul or something.

Solieil is written in katakana ソレイュ, the last two syllables have a close sound to "il" in French, a sound that doesn't occur in Japanese, the Romaji for this can have different approaches such as soreii' or soreîu. When you misspell it as ソレイユ you end up with Soreiyu or Soleiyu, the name is kind of a pun on soleil.

In my opinion, Adventure is the worst. By the time 1989 rolled around, technically 4 or 5 games were released to get Konami’s feet wet, by this time Konami should’ve gotten an idea of what to do. Yeah, this is technically a launch game, but still, we’d expected more.
Agreed. I thought Haunted Castle was the worst 2D Castlevania until I played Adventure. I'm so glad they decided to remake it, the Wii game blows it away.
