    *** Why Hunt Hogs? ***
    My journey into wild/feral hog hunting started like many others living in rural communities. I didn't start hog hunting for fun or sport... I did it because I had to. My father-in-law started me on this path several years ago when he asked me to help out with a problem. You see, hogs cause millions of dollars of damage and destruction each year in rural communities and our situation was no different. Hogs were destroying our land, our family's land, and the land our family tree farming business. The vast majority of hunting videos that you see on this channel are hogs, boars and sows, taken from family land... this problem is personal for me. We have had hogs come as close as 20 feet from my front door, and having 2 small children at home and knowing how aggressive and dangerous hogs can be, getting rid of the problem was a safety concern. This is why when people ask how I got into hog hunting... my answer is always "I didn't get into it because I wanted to, I started doing it because I had to!". It's a personal fight and struggle...

    *** Why Hunt Coyotes and Predators? ***
    Coyotes and Predators, similar to hogs, cause financial stress for many families in rural communities. Coyotes kill livestock, plain and simple. Ranchers have battled coyotes killing cattle since the early days of ranching and it costs them dearly. Cattle ranching is a business, the cows aren't pets, every time they lose a calf to a coyote those families lose a paycheck. Cattle ranchers hate coyotes just as much as Farmers hate hogs! I hunt coyotes to protect the livelihood of my friends and neighbors that depend on their cattle business to feed their family...

    A situation where I could use the visible laser is searching for dead hogs in tall grass. I often have to stand up on my hunting rig and look down into the grass to see the dead hogs. I could point them out with the laser to my buddies who are retrieving them.

    If your buddy is wearing nightvision using an infrared laser sight. The laser on the thermal could be used to give him line of sight

    The laser is great for hunting from a high rack. You can walk you hunting buddy right to the downed coyote that might not be visible from ground level. I don’t own the cabin, but the old Radius rangefinder has the same laser feature and it works great. If you are hunting solely from ground level, I agree that it’s not very helpful.

    Well, I tried to find a single attachment scope mount for my AR, and I remembered your talking about it, so I got online and ordered one. Keep binging the products to us so we know where to go when we need the right tool.

    Are the batteries proprietary like Pulsar? Need a monocular with removable batteries that are readily available like 18650's etc

    I was under the impression the laser was for target indication for digital and analog NV. Is that at others were thinking. There’s common advice here in Australia it invest in a Thermal scanner first, then a NV scope before moving the thermal scope and and scanner.

    • @HansETX
      @HansETX  2 роки тому

      That may very well be correct, but wouldn’t it be difficult to hold the monocular perfectly on the target with one hand, while also trying to look through the nv scope at the same tell 🤷🏻‍♂️ seems challenging

    I was leaning towards the agm tm 19 after I saw your review on it but now the cbl looks good also. Not sure which way to jump other than the battery and the light. Could you view the agm from your phone also?

    If you had a CBL19 and TM19-384 at home and you were heading out the door to go do some viewing within 50 yards, which one would you pick up and take with you? Or is there something else in that price range or below that you would choose over these?

    Nice review, I'm just getting started in the night vision world, have a rattler ts50640,love it but wish I went with the lrf, now I'm seeing the need for handheld or helmet mount, would the 19 be a candidate for helmet mount?

    • @HansETX
      @HansETX  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for watching! I would strictly use the Cabins as a handheld. If you want to helmet mount a thermal, you should take a look at the Iray ml19
