Thank ya'll for watching, subscribing, and sharing! We have a lot of scope reviews coming up.... The Thermion 2's and Halo X's will be here before you know it!
If you had to choose between the rattler35 or the hogster35, it'll be used mainly for coyotes and a nuisance wildlife business. Everything should be inside of 200 yards. Thanks
Can the monocular/scanner eyepiece be added to the TS35? and it be used as a stand alone scanner? Or could it be configured to be used as a clip on? I’m going to be making a purchase before then end of the month, I don’t want to be stuck with a “Scope only” since a scan a bunch and don’t want to constantly take it on and off the rifle.
One advantage to these scopes over the hogster 35 that I have is the usb port is on the left side. Mine is on the right, and the wire gets in the way of the bolt.
I really like my 35. The latest firmware update fixed pretty much the small complaints I had with it. Another thing to mention is that the view in the scope is a decent amount better than the video that it records. The 35's base mag is perfect for getting target and closeup or running shots and having the PIP works for the longer shots on midwest coyotes. I have videos on my channel showing coyotes from 70 out to 800 yards.
If I wanted to pop squirrels as close as 10 yards, would the 35 do this adequately? Or would I be annoyed and frustrated with the magnification at such a short distance? Would I have issues with focus that close? Thank you
@@Backwoodsmachinist probably a little too much magnification for that. If they're holding still you might be okay. It will focus down to less than 10 yards but the depth of field is pretty tight at that close. You'll be adjusting the focus alot as they move closer and further at the closer ranges
Just ordered the TS35 myself this evening. Can’t wait for it to show up. I shot a nice hog with a TS35 640 I borrowed one night and let me tell you if you got it go for it! Worth every penny man. Thanks for the vid very informative sir.
Awesome information. I just ordered a package that includes the asp160 micro mono , cap, hoodie for $2500 through night vision guy’s. Keep up the great videos.
If there is anything that I could add to this great review, it would be to get the highest resolution detector that you can monetarily justify. A TS19 or 25-256 price is really tempting, but in the long run, going for a 384 (or 640) is just going to provide much clearer images.
Absolutely fantastic review of theses two scopes sir! Very insightful and definitely helped me make up my mind on my first thermal. Thank you sir. Subscribed!
I was actually looking at a Burris, but the fact that this one uses cr123a batteries is a plus for me. I don’t like rechargeable batteries in anything I own, mainly in case things in our country go to crap and power is not readily available, I can stock pile batteries.

For the price and gun mount function it seems the AGM Rattler TS25 ( currently $1199) would be a lot better and cheaper then the AGM Global Vision Taipan TM15-384 (currently $1295) . Especially since the Rattler can be used as a stand alone monocular for scouting. Any comment on this HansETX ?
Have you had a chance to compare the 384 to the 640? I'm just wondering if it's worth the jump in cost or if the image difference is similar or if the 640 is significantly better.
**QUESTION** Just got my AGM Rattler 35-384 and setting things up. Love it so far!! One issue we're encountering and looking for help on: Both myself (lefthanded) and my son (righthanded) are having to tilt our heads significantly to see through the scope when mounted on an AR15, to the point it feels uncomfortable. Sub $2000 and all the bells and whistles. 2. The batteries. Man, they say 4.5 hours and that MIGHT be pushing it. Of course when I first got it I kept playing with it and may have kept it on that long over time without noticing. Anyway, started a hunt with the battery level showing "full" but that changed in about 45 min to an hour and it went dead. I had backups ready though. 3. You are right about the menu. A little clunky. For some reason, my reticle is set to "green", but any time I power it off it goes back to "white", even though it says Green. 4. The "sleep" function. I don't like that it is the same button as the power button. I have clumsily turned it off when trying to put it to sleep. Maybe I just need more practice. 4. Recording video. I wish it had its own button to JUST record video, not a dual button for photos and video. Oh well. It DOES work though. Also allows you to use an app to record video and photos using the scope's network. Have not tried that yet but will be cool when my son is with me. He can see what is going on. 5. The size is GREAT. Love that it isn't bulky. With all of that being said, I am a newbie night hunter so I feel there is a real learning curve. Getting used to what the world looks like through a thermal scope, identifying at longer distances etc. That may sound stupid but it is DEF different. I just got my rattler. With my typical scope I was easily ringing steel at 500 yards, and with the thermal I am missing 50 yard shots. It feels like my crosshairs in the scope has to be way off to the left. Am I just failing to zero correctly?

Hans, I understand you're using your cell phone for audio recording but what video/audio editing program do you use to sync-up the sound from your cell phone with the video from the scope?
HAS anyone used this in conjunction with a regular rifle scope? Just wondering. I have a sig sauer Tango MSR 1-6 x that I am thinking of pairing the TC35-384 with, and am looking for input.
Your video title says ts25 so I bought one expecting the same quality. I didn't know that there was as ts25-256. Yours is ts25-388. The one I bought sucks. I paid $1200 and it's useless. Hopefully they'll let me exchange it.
When this video was made well over a year ago there was no 256 model, but when I give the specs I said the price and resolution of the scope. It’s also listed many times in the description of this video with a link directly to this scope on the Outdoor Legacy Gear website. I don’t know who you bought it from but a good dealer wouldn’t have let you think a $1,200 scope is as good as a $2,000 scope. Hope they will help you out 🤷🏻♂️
Hey Hans, new subscriber here...I followed the link you have for the AGM Rattler TS25-384 and at the top of the page it says 1.5-12x, which to me means it has 12 power magnification, but in the specs it says 8x digital zoom, can you explain that? and also, ... the picture shows a two throw-lever mount, but yours in the video says it is a one throw-lever mount...??? thanks for the videos!!!
@@HansETX Great videos! Is it possible to use these from inside a home when looking out through a window and window screen? Or would the window and screen completely distort the view? Thanks!
Does this have a better processor than the flir breach? I’m thinking of selling my breach because it’s got the stupid fixed focus but this unit is so cheap for what it does, just wondering if it’s using older processors or something? Thanks.
Anyone had an issues with the rattler 25 384 powering down on recoil? I’m going to try a different brand battery today but I’ll probably be sending this thing back
Im having some troubles with my rattler scope. There seems to be two methods of recording videos and pics. 1. the scope directly saves them to internal memory. 2. You can login into the wifi hotspot and view in realtime what scope sees. When doing so, you can record video and take photo that is saved to tvision app. My issue is with method one. How do i review these photos and video. Can i only see internally recorded pics/video when scope is directly to my computer? I see no way to access internal memory files on the tvision app! Method 2 during my testing, i was able to save a picture and video. The jepeg saves correctly into my photos app on my iphone 13. But any time i attempt to save a video, it appears like it is saving, but no video is saved to the photos app. Any ideas how to fix this? Third issues. When/how are you suppose to use the reticle vs trajectory? I believe the reticle function is what i use to zero the scope. But i have no idea how or when i should use the trajectory function It would like to have my zero at 23m, 50m, 75m, 100m, and 150m 1. whenever i select one of the 5 distances. It reverts my desired reticle to option 1 2. When using reticle my crosshairs is directly centered in the display, but when using trajectory, the crosshairs is now in the upper right quadrant on my display unless i push the zoom button.

So honestly for the price point for someone who's buying their first thermal would you recommend this brand or the pulsar qx38?
The Rattlers are great but so is the pulsar xq38. If $3300 is in the budget, I would choose the pulsar. Thanks for watching
AGM is better than ATN like the AGM better just works better got my first ATN and it broke within 2 weeks had nothing but trouble with it.
Hans, I understand you're using your cell phone for audio recording but what video/audio editing program do you use to sync-up the sound from your cell phone with the video from the scope?
I’m just using imovie on my laptop
What’s the best bang for your buck thermal, that I can see 2-300 yards with?
Is Hans a part owner in Outdoorlegacy ?
How do you down load the app or software? I’m new at this and have the 35
Could you use these as clip on thermals on an ATACR 1-8
No sir you can’t use it as a clip on unfortunately
HAS anyone used this in conjunction with a regular rifle scope? Just wondering. I have a sig sauer Tango MSR 1-6 x that I am thinking of pairing the TC35-384 with, and am looking for input.
Unfortunately you can’t mount this in front of a daytime optic
Was the TS-25 256 or the 384 model ..or did I miss it 🤷♂️ just wanted make sure
384
How do you get sound from cell phone?
1.5 multiplied by 8 gives you the 12
can the ts25 be helmet mounted also?
Whats the cost for ts34?
Thanks man! 🤘🏼 Carry On
Thank you!
Good video. Thanks. What gun and stock is that behind you?
Thanks Mike. It’s a Ruger predator 6.5 creedmoor with the barrel cut down to 16.5 inches and threaded 👍🏻
Which one would be better for combat or home defense at night ?
25 for closer engagements.
Thanks.
Yessir much much better
Anyone had an issues with the rattler 25 384 powering down on recoil? I’m going to try a different brand battery today but I’ll probably be sending this thing back
They dropped prices now the ts25 is $1800 and the ts35 is $2000 is it worth the extra money?
Honestly the V2 Rattlers aren’t that much more and they a big improvement.
Can this scope be use for day time hunting too ?
Yes all thermals can but you don’t want to point it at the sun
Thank you for making this video
But i have no idea how or when i should use the trajectory function
It would like to have my zero at 23m, 50m, 75m, 100m, and 150m
1. whenever i select one of the 5 distances. It reverts my desired reticle to option 1
2. When using reticle my crosshairs is directly centered in the display, but when using trajectory, the crosshairs is now in the upper right quadrant on my display unless i push the zoom button.
Hi i was wondering if i could have a discount because i dont have much money but i really want to get in to this stuff, im not trying to come across as a begger im just wondering if its possible
unfortunately I'm not the person that can offer any discounts
so can you use this during daylight also?, if so what does it look like?
Yes you can.. it’ll work but it’s not ideal
Does these thermals have the same problems that ATN products have? Are they reliable?
I'm wondering the same thing. I've only been researching for a few days. So far, it seems that ATN's aren't very reliable. I'll get back after more research. Your post was from two years ago. Have you came to any conclusions on reliability as well as performance on thermal and NV? Thanks!
Are those scopes or clip ons?
This is the scope
As far as shock goes can they handle .308? I know it shows 750 g/ms in manual but I don’t understand that. Thanks
Hey Chase, Recoil rated up to 308.. Thanks!
Been using mine for over a year (5 times a wk) on a .308 bolt gun. Keeps on ticking............
Mounted on my tikka .308 with a single throw lever and it holds just fine.
Can you do a review on agm sector 25
What caliber is your hog rifle?
6.5 grendel
@HansETX thank you...what I've been looking at. Radical arms has a 16" and a 20" barrel for under 1k.
Can you shoot daytime with these scopes too?
Yes you can, you just want to be sure not to point the optic directly at the sun
Basically rebranded HIKMicro Units?
Definitely look the same for sure!
Spot on! Yes, its the same, im holding my HikMicro Thunder TH35 right now and its exactly the same. For the HikMicro its possible to use it as a clipon device. im not sure if its for sale that setup in the AGM?
Yes AGM is working with overseas factories on developing products and brand. You must be located overseas if you are using the Hik branded product? We do offer a thermal clip on in RattlerTC35
@@trenthenckell2542 correct, im located in Sweden. Here we have it in fixed mount ant as a clipon device. The rusan adapters are sweet as hell for the clipon device. I just got mine for the drivenhuntscoope. Its a swarovski z8i 1-8x24SR and its fits like the hand in a glove 😅 Here it goes with the original factoryname (Hikvision), Hikmicro Thunder TH35. Or TH35C for the clipon.
I have the agm ts35 unit. I installed a bobro mount on it. Works great but doesn't have video as does the hogster. Other than that, it is great. I don't think it's upgradeable /updateable either. Thanks for the review, finally.
Will that optic hold up to a 450 bushmaster?
Suppressed?
@@HansETX awesome. Just ordered a Hybrid 46 for my 450. Hopefully it doesn’t take 10 months. But I appreciate the reply. Love the channel.
Will this mount on a 22 long rifle?
as long as it has a picatinny rail
Love your videos
