You are so generous Master Lin.I have no teacher to work with in person and you are such a Great teacher that I have been able to achieve success with a few of your techniques already. I watch your videos and get so excited that I can hardly wait to get to my wheel. If ever I can I will certainly attend a work shop with you. I am in Kentucky, so if you ever offer a workshop I would appreciate some advance notice in order to make arrangements for travel. Your contributions to this art will live on forever. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Mr. Lin, always taking it to the next level😀
Thank you, mr. Lin for all the beautiful videos you share. You are so inspiring and your instructions are so clear! I enjoy watching them very much!!
If I had had these incredible videos 15 years ago I could've saved $50,000 in Student Loans and learned more about pottery than 4 years of Ceramics classes. My BFA diploma has literally sat in the floor board of my car since I got it. It's a very expensive and completely useless piece of paper. I hope future potters will forego college and learn pottery as a potter's assistant or just watch a bunch of free videos (and practice until your fingers bleed).
snaggles magoo gg
Ditto...I actually spent more on my worthless piece of paper and have an MBA, for the last 10 years I've been a successful studio potter supporting myself - no art degree!
Many Many thanks for those "lessons magistrales" "perfect master courses"
It is very generous of you to share your art in ceramics .
I think this is one of my favorite demo videos, Hsin! I picked up on a lot of great tips. Thank you for the trimming one that follows as well.
Thank you so much for your openness in sharing your techniques and tips. You have helped me immeasurably in improving and giving me confidence in my own work.
Excellent demonstation!👍🌸😊
Many thanks for this beautiful video.
💕
Thank you
You're welcome
I always enjoy your demo'
Have you tried making a pot like this as "one piece" hsin-chuen? It would save having to make the top of the lid separately!
Or maybe it's necessary if you want a textured piece, that you have to make the top separately?
Thanks, as always, for the demonstration.
Please watch my video #470 and #471 for the one demo.
beautiful
Why am i watching pottery videos at 4 in the morning?
Because it's your passion and you want to explore the depth of the creativity in other potters. That's why :)

To keep me company 😂😂😂😂! Gotta love it!
yo. who down votes this. this is 100% pro.
Why add a lid rather than throwing a closed form? Im interested.
Can you add texture to the lid with throwing the closed form? This is to provide different approach to create something unique.
Could you use a hairdryer to make the clay stiff if I don't have a blow torch?
Yes. Blow torch is much quicker and has a better result though.
Please advise about bisque fire. Do you bisque with the lid on the bottom or not. How do you prevent a closed form from exploding if the lid is on and there is no hole?
No need to worry! Bisque with the lids on, no need to poke holes or anything. Pots rarely explode from air being trapped, it is usually a result of moisture still left in the pot, which expands more rapidly than the clay.
hola podría tener la oposición de traducir al español gracias
The spring show take place on May 1st and 2nd, 10am-5pm at Sunnyvale Community Center. My throwing demonstration will be on May 2nd from 10am-2pm.
