Wonderfully done 👏. Thank you for giving everyone a tour of Stampex (great editing and video flow by the way!!). It was awesome meeting you in person, thanks for including me in the video 😊.
What an awesome video Richard! I thoroughly enjoyed your tour and hearing about all the great things you saw and did 😁 Thank you so so much for sending me the World Postcard Day postcard! I received it and it is so special to me! I look forward to finding out what you picked up at Stampex!
Greetings from coastal Goa in India. Reached here courtesy a recommendation by another philatelic UA-camr, and loving the content you have put out here. You have just earned yourself a milestone 150th like and a new subscriber too. May the Philatelic Gods bless you manifold.
Looks like so much fun! I like your postcard decorations. 😊 How did you get your logo made as a cancel /ink stamp? Looking forward to see what you bought in the bag!
Thanks for watching! Yes, it was a lot of fun. Do you mean the stamps at 6:58? It was a fun story... The 47p stamps are gifts from my girlfriend. She bought a pack from a dealer and thought I would get some different 47p stamps, but in fact, there were 100 identical stamps in the package😂🤣So I bought a lot of Machins to match the postal rates. I found a company that makes seals on the Internet. I uploaded my logo, and they made it for me. I believe you can also find such services in Canada.
It is wonderful to see a stamp show in the UK in October, 2021. What is the protocol for wearing masks in an indoor environment in London at this time?
Great video. Very interesting. First time I saw Gram with his wedding band on. He has a fantastic show. I’ll need to visit London. Perhaps for a match May 22 Arsenal vs Everton= My team ⚽️⚽️
Oh, I haven't noticed the ring! Thanks so much for watching, I'm glad you love it. Actually, I live in Tottenham, just 10 mins walk from the Stadium... But I'm not a fan of Hotspur.
Stamp Active will be at Stampex again at the end of September 2022 with a range of activities for youngsters including our free auction on Saturday 1st October.
For someone who started collecting about 40 years ago, I've never been to a Stampex. I just felt it was geared more towards dealers and wealthier collectors .. Both you and Graham have really done it a good service and really I am thinking of going this September. Besides, I like going down to London but always feel there needs to be a reason. This could be an annual regular date in my diary. The other one would be the Astrofest. Is there anything I need to know in advance about the Stampex? I've been on their website but couldn't find entry fee or other information? Astrofest doesn't usually charge for visiting the exhibition stands but you pay to attend the conferences/lectures. Is the Stampex like that? And does it always run on world postcard day aswell?
Usually, they charge £10 for the first day but are free for the other days. Also, it’s free to attend the talks. And yes, they run on the World Postcard Day
Fantastic to meet you at Stampex, Richard! So glad you loved the show! See you soon!
Thanks, Suzanne, you did a fabulous job!
