now Zack if you want to really unlock the potential of this game. you have to get Smokesbox 2-8-0 Connie or AT&N consolidation. the realism of that engine and his other engines will blow your mind.

I got one of these for Christmas last year, and it was worth every penny.
Nice to see you in Train Simulator. I am a frequent player myself, since 2015 when I got TS2015. I own an older version, but it's an intense amount of fun as you drive the trains. Then, you have Steam Workshop which allows for even more fun as users have made some great content. Then you have the awesome DLC made by Dovetail Games which expands the sim even more. Just a few words of advice the headlights of a train are almost always on bright no matter what time of day and when you come up on a crossing you will need to have your bell on and for the horn sequence it will be 2 long blasts 1 short and 1 Long and when you start moving your locomotive you will want to give to short blasts of the horn. I love your videos you should make more of these train simulator videos!
Can you point to any references that addresses little things like this? Like a checklist of things you should be doing in the interest of realism. I've never been able to find it within the simulator itself. Very much appreciated.

Zach For the Railroad crossing you hit the Horn 2 Long times 1 Short and 1 Long Also the Bell is supposed to be on as well for Train Crossing
Pat Smat the Bell does not have to be on for railroad crossings only when pulling into and out of a station.

i watched 4 videos of zach and i love the channel!!
A good simulator since so many are done by Europeans would be 999 Emergency where you are a British Dispatch and you get calls which you then control the vehicles to respond and then act out the part to handle the emergency.

Lights should be on at all times, at least you must in the UK :p

had one of these: Only thing i dislike about it is that the trottle feels the wrong way... to pull the lever BACK instead of FORWARD made it break the immersion a bit. Eepecially if u use the trottle and Break combination *for subway trains example*... normally forward is throttle and backward is breaking... in there is the other way arround wich broke the immrsion...Also wich it was a bit bigger :P.. still its an amazing product and if you like trains... BUY IT!
Idk why but the game suppose to update automatically? becuase i still have the same items from train simulator 2016 so idk what. I still havent got the new items for ts 2017,,....

meant train had no defects and you were on track two. defects meaning theres nothing wrong with the train. like nothing hanging off the train like the straps on the car loads and you dont have a hot wheel. hot wheel meaning wheels hot from the break shoe on the car. and that your not loosing air pressure in the break lines that go from car to car.

I have wanted this game for so, so long but the negative reviews on Steam have steered me away from it. Then I see you playing it, enjoying it, and I enjoy you enjoying it, and it makes me kick myself for not getting it when I could of. On to a different point, if you continue this series, and I hope you do, is there any chance you could do a Utah run? I love, love, love our railways out here. Or maybe do a section of each state?
The game is fun but you don't get many scenarios/trains without spending a decent amount of money.
Yeah your entire collage funds. Better go to school and be a real train guard/driver.
Wait for sales, you can acquire a pretty good Steam library on a small budget if you're patient

Why would anyone want to play a train sim. Waste of complete time, not hating on the vid but anyone who spends their time pushing a throttle back and forth needs to finds something useful to do.
I can't believe people actually buy this crap !!! Train Simulator are you kidding me lol playing this or watching paint dry ? I'll take paint drying , get a life !!!
