I have 3 inch piping from the cat back. Muffler and resonator delete and it's honestly not bad at all but i am gnna throw a res back on and it should be perfect 👍🏼
Changing the modes doesn’t do anything. That only adjusts the throttle sensitivity with the accelerator pedal, and tiny throttle mapping. Other cars that use an active exhaust with different settings, is completely different. As far as I’m concerned, no current Honda out has an active exhaust.
You're correct, Honda doesn't have an active valve and exhaust but there is one plugin valve you can add also which requires you to cut a piece from your exhaust and weld it into your exhaust then wire the rest. But that's just another option if people do want to have an active valve that can make your car louder.
@@isnowyazn yes, there's also this company called phelab, they offer a custom cutout for accord or any car which you can cutout part of your stock exhaust and sort of open and close the "valve"
I’m late to the party, but I suggest you do not get a resonator and muffler delete if you have a Honda Civic hatchback sport 1.5 turbo CVT at first I was in love with the sound, putting it in sport mode and using the paddle shifters made the pops noise, but driving on the freeway or driving for long periods of time the cabin is loud and I hate it. I wish I can go back to the place and see if they could put my original parts back on or something. I honestly don’t know what to do from here.
Thank you for the video. I want to add a little excitement to my driving and I think a muffler delete is also what I'm aiming for, the straight pipe seems to make it obnoxiously loud. Road noise still is a bit loud even without these modifications but with the muffler delete, how much louder does it get? And how much does it cost to have a muffler delete?
I would say muffler is just the right amount of noise since removing your resonator will make the cabin loud and it’ll get annoying overtime. When I worked on mines I was charged $150. Not sure how much they’re charging now
Yeah i had a exhuast guy do res & muff delete & the cabin was so dam loud. I ended up buying a thermal exhuast system.. souds so much better .. no drone at all..
Will putting a muffler help get rid of the cabin noise? Like a borla or Flowmaster instead of just full straight pipe? I'm interested in getting one of these cars and trying to get as much info as I can for when I get it I kno what to put
If you don't want to spend a lot of money on a FBO exhaust, I would recommend just deleting the muffler. If you remove the resonator, it will make the cabin loud based on my experience
I would say only do muffler delete if you want to keep your interior quiet. Now, if you feel like its not loud enough remove the resonator or replace the OEM resonator with vibrant resonator.
Great video man but no offense different drive modes have no effect on sound of your car since u have an everyday driver nothing sports car or hot hatch like.
@@Gebin13 bro please do some research. Yes sound to the speakers but the sports mode actually changes things lmao. First of all for flat cornering, the dampers harden up, and the Electric Power Steering delivers a straight, linear sensation. In the corners, the Agile Handling Assist also becomes more aggressive. @@10thgenAce of course! It's more common to see it in our cars because our exhaust is fairly flat so to speak and the mufflers don't hold onto it. That's why you see what they call a weep hole on the back side of mufflers to allow that moisture to escape.

It does at first, but overtime it does get annoying inside the cabin lol!
The drive mode’s wont change exhaust note, but this was an awesome video, I appreciate it.
it does bro when my jawnt in drive its deeper than when its in sports mode, pretty sure its just due to higher rpms
