This is pretty awesome, didn't know this existed! Just got into the scene, I remember my friend showing me a trick back in high school, always thought it was interesting.
I’m having a late-teen break down. Turning 18 this week and having a bath of nostalgia, remembering these growing up in the UK. Must’ve been close to 10 years ago, aghhhh!
This makes me feel like a kid again. I collect the ultra rare tech decks now, and any others that I like. I always have one at my desk. It’s like my fidget spinner.
I just bought my first tech deck since way back in the day when I had them as a kid in the 90s. And of course part of me doesn't want to open it and go get another because it's a rare and out of 3 stores I went to was the only one that had it 🤣 I can already see how addicting this hobby will become.
@@PatriotJedi I bought my first wooden deck by _BerlinWood_ and _Winkler Wheels_ in 2003 and fingerskated several years before my life went into a complicating direction and I essencially "fell out of it". 15 years had passed when I stumbled across an old board of mine tidying up - I played a little with it and got completly stuck again.. 😅 I undertook a little research and realized how much things have changed: Back in the day there wasn't much of a choice - if you wanted a wooden deck you had to buy BerlinWood, if you wanted bearing wheels you had to buy Winkler's, and for trucks you had to keep buying Techdeck oldschool/longboard trucks for their matching 29mm width because they kept disintegrating after some time. Nowadays on the other hand you can customize your setup just like a real skateboard and choose trucks for their aesthetics while we would have killed for even just a reliable working truck without anything fancy. I learned that decks are wider nowadays so I went to ASI Berlin (lucky enough to have a fingerboard store here) and purchased a perfectly fine beginner complete board which reactivated my f-skating, but I couldn't help myself to indulge in all the possibilities you have nowadays. I restarted only two months or so ago, but at this point I have four setups (not counting techdecks) just because I enjoy some variety - 2x 32mm, 33mm, 34mm and a 37mm in the planning, and because fingerboards are so terribly suited collectables.. 😅 I wish we had all these options back then, and I'm extremly happy new fingerboarders have it so much better than us - as a german who could walk into a shop to get a wooden 5-ply 20 years ago I'm certainly complaining on a high level though.. 😅😅
Wow that so awesome love this video am a tech deck fun been collecting since I was a teenager am into these like crazy enjoy and have fun wow love the big ramp!😄
I just saw a video, the tech deck championship and it's literally like a mini skate park and there's the contenders signing autographs even. I had no idea that existed or that there are kids so into it... Like these guys or kids were being treated like athletes lol I think the Ollie and flip tricks are pretty neat and look like they'd take some practice bc I could never do that stuff without my thumb lol but the grinds though... You can literally grind as long of a rail or ledge as long as you want bc you're controlling it with your hands, so I didn't really see the challenge in that....like the airsoft of the slate world lol oh well, people like what they like and they're not hurting anyone and they're having fun, so whatevs, have fun 👍🏿
I’m with you. Look at the comments even! People are asking about what wheels are being used! And what grip tape even! I thought this was for actual younger little kids. I hear you though it is at least a wholesome thing to do I guess. But it’s still odd.
It's nice to see someone who appreciates it, Alot of people often say that it's "stupid" or "what's the point get a real skateboard", A lot of people who Fingerboard do actually skate as well (Even a few skateboarders find it ridiculous) But perhaps they weren't good enough on a skateboard so they opted for Fingerboarding instead
Only reason I look at it negatively is cause half the time they aren't really landing and just kinda palming it. There's no tension. As a hobby sure. As a competition it's essentially pretending to land things lol
Try landing even so much as an Ollie or kickflip to nose manual, or even a regular manual. Especially going up something like a book. It's freaking hard. Or landing something into a grind. It's harder than you would imagine, and once you realize how hard that is you realize how hard alot of this is
Bro can i ask you why do you have your grip tape cut in the middle, im wondering cuz it looks cool and also wanna ask if it helps something with doing tricks ?
Its really strange for people not even involved in skating but it looks they are having a good time, socializing, competing, keeping your mind occupied.
I get most info through social media and following a lot of creators who inform their viewers about the upcoming events but currently I don’t have any info regarding events after the pandemic
Looked like fun, great video man!

@@smbinvesting think my dad may have had them too and he’s in his 40s. Definitely a toy that succeeded many generations

Nice video bro!
Tech Deck’s are popular nowadays
this just brought me back to 2009 HOLY SHIT
Bro can i ask you why do you have your grip tape cut in the middle, im wondering cuz it looks cool and also wanna ask if it helps something with doing tricks ?
It’s preference. I however don’t think it’s an advantage, it’s just because it looks cool.
How do you not have more than a 100k subs
missed this
Why do people cut the little bit out of the foam and can you tell me what you use
cause its a way of customising
How did this whole thing begin? Who started finger boarding?
looks like fun! i bring caspers, darkslides, and primoslides into the mix ;)
How are u so good at opposite way , I can only move to the left and be good but when I try to move to the right I’m so bad , pls help
I would love to fingerboard there
Fingerboarding is strangely wholesome
Its really strange for people not even involved in skating but it looks they are having a good time, socializing, competing, keeping your mind occupied.
Thanks for the analysis
i love this
Hooooooooldd onnn,.... Since when has this become a thing and why am I just seeing this now? Someone, anyone???
Richtig cooles video weiter so👌🔥🔥🔥
Where do you find little parks like these?
As a fingerboarder myself, with minimal skill, I’m most amazeb by the people doing tricks with thumb backwards... that’s hard as heck, if you try...
BRR made a f☠️king megaramp?!
That's amazing!
0:43 wait did u buy a fingerboard!?!? or just looked at them cuz it looked different when u were using the first one
Really good!

This must be how young Tony Hawks dad felt when he was like, “Huh, skateboarding has gotten kinda big nowadays.”
this is cool
Safest way to skate without getting broken bones. 😁
broken fingernails from tricks.

No dark side grinds?
Juraasic park style is sick looks natural
Are you only allowed 2 fingers to touch the board or can you use your thumb? Its hard to tell.
