sounds nothing like Dream Syndicate as I know them but it is pretty great, nonetheless, funky and urban-groovy. Steve Wynn's vocals are processed beyond recognition but somehow fits the song and in a fast-food, sound-bite, paced world weirdly enough this did not drag.... the photographic art helps here. I'll have to listen to it without watching the video to see but the music evolves and expertly changes throughout with great bass, guitar, trumpet, sax and sitar parts....with the bass and drums holding it all together and the other parts collapsing time for us all. The last 4 or 5 minutes top even the rest of it I think... One of the best things they have ever done, and that says a lot.
I love the segment that starts at 10:53 the horns , and that photography style, almost animation? rotoscoping? It's just visually beautiful, anywhere you pause it in that segment is a beautiful , album-cover-worthy still. I pre-ordered the album and can't wait for the other 4 songs!
Try to perform the same recording on two overlapping sources with a difference of 8 seconds between recordings, the 20: 25min acoustic impact effect causes. Impressive!
Just wow, can't put in words how good this song is.
Didn't know this came out until last night. Mind is blown.
Another great record after These times. Ladies and gentlemen : The fabulous Dream Syndicate
*clapping*
Musica e immagini perfette per rappresentare il Caos, quello fuori e quello dentro...
Magnifique

He's probably the clockwork of the band...

Jammie ......

Ótimo
Is that Word Jazz Ken Nordine on vocals? Or a fine impersonation?
Don't go back to Merrittville!
reminds me a bit of Bogus Man by Roxy Music ....
Guessing the visuals mostly came first... work well together tho, nicely capturing modern urban life.
We voyeuristically watch on, as the world boils.
The music absolutely came first. To my ears I heard a combination of city life plus a little film noir in there so I threw them both in the mix!
Great work!!!!!
