Unless you've lived in a rental forever or bought in any NYC neighborhood before it was gentrified, you don't get much for your money in NYC. You will find yourself constantly looking for sales. Living in NYC is mostly about, bills, bills and more bills. Another problem, the local 'mom & pop' stores suddenly assume every resident has tons of disposable income. Stores raise their prices according to the new residents, forgetting about people who have lived in the neighborhood before it was gentrified. A local longtime supermarket was renovated then the prices became sky-high. This same store was on the local news during the beginnings of the Covid pandemic, they were trying to sell a can of Lysol spray for $17.99, they should be ashamed! A local shoe repair now charges almost $20 to repair heels! The man owns the building his store is in, I don't buy that his rent has gone up!
Yeah..that is the deal breaker..even if you live with your family, those two rooms do no have any privacy. so technically this can not have any roommates. It does look good for office space & and living space- two ways to get in. the big room with separate space can be use as a office, the rest as home.

I would like this for a couple or just one person. One of those pass-through rooms can be an office with bookshelves w/ lounge chair and sofa bed for a guest. Then the next one could be a gym.
I used to live a few blocks away, and my friends' apt (a couple) had the exact same layout as this one. It is called railroad apt, you have to walk thru rooms in the middle to get to the ends. Not an ideal layout, but I think it works well for a couple as one bedroom apt + office + den.
I lived in a similar setup in New Orleans...except it was me, my two brothers, my mom and her new boyfriend. And us "kids" were teenagers back then. Needless to say, I hated the place. It was called a shotgun house and I would turn one on myself before ever living in one again 😂.
In the 60s I had a railroad apt on E. 90th in Manhattan. It cost me less than 20% of my modest monthly take home pay. Huge kitchen, small but well functioning bathroom. I turned the small middle bedroom into a closet. Times change. Used the bedroom next to the kitchen as an office, slept in the smallish but adequate bedroom off the living room. There was entrance door to the kitchen, and to the living room at the other end. The living room had the original (1890s) window shutters and a nice mantlepiece from a blocked up fireplace. It was so nice that an Ivy League friend, whose family lived in the Dakota, took it wehn I move dot Central Park West in a shared apt. My bedroom had its own bathroom. Still less than 20% of my take home pay. Apt had a big balcony too.
This apartment is actually really cute despite its unusual lay out. I love how much natural light the whole place has. You could potentially share with 3 other people if you were a couple and they were a couple, imagine how cheap that would be! And have have oddly shaped third room as maybe an office or a reading nook.
People are so silly. There is no way you’re getting an apartment for $700 anywhere in NYC or the tri state area. Of course, it’s with roommates! Heck, you wouldn’t be able to get an apartment for $700 in most midrange and even small cities these days.
@@CashJordan , hope you understood I was supportive - agreeing with Michele that anyone familiar with rental markets in most populous areas realizes how high the prices are. Thanks for your enjoyable videos.
Actually its possible. You just have to be eztremly5 patient and be willing to travel further out than usual. In Canarsie, there are a few homeowners who would rent out their 1 bedroom or studio apartment for that price. They rather have a consistent paying peaceful tenant than one who has trouble paying month to month. There are some gems if you are willing to look amd travel about 40 mins to the city.
The price is great, and I personally like the quiet neighborhood with the option of jumping on the train and getting into the city when I want to. The only potential problems I see are.....the bathroom is tiny, and it appears that you have to go through each bedroom to get to the next. In a roommate situation I'm not sure how that would work. Imagine the 1st bedroom resident and the 2nd bedroom resident being sound asleep. Then 3rd person resident comes in....LATE, or maybe early (lol) and has to go THROUGH both other bedrooms to get to their's. Not much privacy either. However......if it was just a couple it was be great for that price! You'd have a ton of space that could be really workable. I also feel completely stupid because I thought the TOTAL rent was $700!!! I've never lived in NY and I figured it was so cheap because of where it was and the awkward layout. Cash, no offense.....I love your videos, but usually you put the TOTAL rent price in the title.
Great price. How fast did this one get scooped up? I'm reading comments that say $700 is not the price. Why put it in the title if it's false? I knew it was too good to be true.
I think the best thing about this apartment is the area it's in. Grocery store walking distance A+. If it had a 2nd bathroom or even a 1/2 bath, this apartment would be a winner.
Did no one else mention having the bathroom in the corner of the kitchen? While the layout was terrible regardless of the price, the worst was preparing food 5 feet from the toilet.
$700 a piece for 3 people is pretty standard for Astoria. That's what you will pay in The Acropolis, and you will get your own private room and you're only 2 blocks from the subway.
Love your videos man, you’re awesome, but - I think you’re really downplaying this railroad apartment and it’s ridiculous layout, specially if you’re calling this out as a 3 party apartment (only way to get to $733 rent), for undesirable this layout is typically right next to living in a teeny room with a bathroom you share with the other floor’s tenants. It’s horrible if your roommates have to walk through your room to get to theirs, (watch Bonding on Netflix to see how ridiculous it can get). I had a friend who lived on the same street, almost exact apartment (nicer kitchen), it’s a really nice place for a small family. Really hard for roommates. REALLY hard. And that bathroom! There are better options for that price.
In your headline you really need to put what the entire rent is and then during the time you're showing the apartment you can say what it is per person period makes it sound a little more honest and the little less clickbait
I am on disability and I never thought it would be possible to see a place that would be almost affordable, in a decent neighborhood. If I had a couple roommates, I would actually be able to afford it comfortably.😃 I live in a suburb of L.A. and it’s also quite expensive here.
No these are floor through railroad apartments. Door in kitchen or living room and one in the front room. They all were built like that. In some areas of Manhattan landlords cut them up into 2 apartments to get more rent.
So no one mentioned that this is a railroad apartment. Cash Jordan love your videos, but we both know railroads are a tough sell lol! I enjoyed your positive perception branded in this video, because its apparent these prewar structures were meant for low income families landing in America pre 1960's. I'd say the target buyers for this rental are those who need a home office, someone who runs their own business and needs inventory space or families with young kids. 20-40 single demographic is almost an impossible sell...
LOL...I paid only $90 dollars a month for a one bedroom , one bath, large eat in kitchen , living room apt on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in the early 1970s when I was single and working as a fashion illustrator, and that was rent controlled, an old brownstone! With two roomates that was $30 dollars each! Then I rented a brand new studio apt. when I moved to the suburbs, with AC, a full walk in closet, huge linen closet, galley kitchen, one bath with tub along with swimming pool/tennis courts for just $162 a month! That same apt on the Upper East Side, now renovated goes for $2500 - 3000 a month for one person! Used to pay just 10 dollars a month for food and next to nothing for utilities! Subway fare was 35 cents a ride, movies were $1.25, a drink at a single's bar was around 2 -3 dollars! A bounced check was just $3.00!! What are the skyrocketed prices today! And we thought inflation was bad in the 1970s?? HA!! I wouldn't pay any of the exhorbitant prices today that have gone through the stratosphere since then, just shows you just how GREEDY people have gotten these days and everything keeps on going up and up..the landlords, real estate, property taxes, home insurance, the greedy banks with their outlandish fees!
Queens is SO far away from Manhattan. And who wants roommates? This is not a good deal at $700 per person, so how much is it--$2100 a month?! Way too much.
If 2 roommates, the one in the backroom has to simply go out the locked door and walk to the front door to get to bathroom, kitchen, livingroom, to give the other roommate privacy. 1100 a month each(if place is 2200 (733 a person if 3 roommates you highlighted).. so the rents would be way less than in the city for 1500 each for a more expensive place. To some that is a big saving when on a budget or saving for the future, etc. Young people might not mind some inconveniences. The tiny 3rd bedroom could just be used for an office or whatever.
Students of mine frequently move to NYC after college - this would be a nice place for 3 friends who are just getting their footing in NY and need to save some money. Although they would probably prefer to be closer to nightlife than Home Depot and a grocery store, but I think it's surprisingly nice for the price. Thanks @Cash Jordan - I really appreciate you showing us more of the world during quarantine!
It can't be helped in a lot of older buildings in nyc. Even if the landlord decided to renovate and extend the bathroom, they'd have to take space away from another room and raise the price considerably to cover the cost.
I’ve see your posts on Instagram; so I was really excited to see this video. I live on the West Coast so I really don’t know much about NYC renting, but I like the openness of this space. And the windows! So much natural light is so nice.
Not great for sharing as you would have to stroll through the bedrooms of “roommates” to use the washroom or kitchen or living room. Cool place for a couple with home offices.
Honestly been binging these videos, and one thing I like is at least he’s honest about things being over priced lol. Also I love the pre apartment tours of the neighborhood. It actually helps sell the property that much more
I’m slightly confused (or I’m having a slow moment lol) basically the title was clickbait cause it’s only ≈ $700 a month if you get two roommates right?
Realtor hyperbole. Cash Jordan is truthful agent, but like a headline in a newspaper, the title is intended to catch the eye. In reality, the apartment is in Queens where rents aren't quite so high, and two of the "bedrooms" really aren't. If three people rented this unit, the division would be, like, 1400/400/400.
Yep its 2200 so 733 each. this shows on the screen in the apt and also i mention in the intro, but thanks for letting me know your thoughts on the title
Everyone keeps complaining about the small bathroom but at least it’s clean! In fact the whole apartment seemed clean and spacious. I would totally live here for the price!!
I love 💕 this apartment, how spacious it is & how close it’s to public transportation & the grocery stores. It might be a bit pricey but to have an apartment located in a quiet neighborhood but it’s great for me to have peace & quiet. 🙋🏾♀️😁💖💖💖🎸🎶🎉
LOVE watching your videos. You do a GREAT job. The only thing that could be better would be if you were consistent in the monthly price. Sometimes you state what monthly rent is and other times you talk about per person costs. Pick one. The most logical choice would be the monthly cost.
I use to Live Around there in Astoria on Crescent my Girlfriend and I had the exact some apartment I miss it so much. Great area minutes away from the city and basically always quiet. If I ever move back to Queens I would definitely love this apartment
So its actually a 2.2k apartment rent. Shouldve said that from the start. Rooms are always cheaper than full apartments. 700 is still cheap for a room in NYC but given the circumstances its reasonable.
The term is a railroad style apt. However technically that refers to apartments on the Lower East Side of Manhattan from the turn of the (last) century. Back when Queens was a very, very far away place "in the country".
@@andreamoscoso4065 There is a wonderful tenement museum on the lower East Side (Essex St. maybe, totally guessing)...if and when it is open again, definitely check it out! It will tel you the history of the tenements and railroad apts of the era (my greatgrandparents, and family owned a tenement at the turn of the century and each daughter and family, etc. had a floor. Very common. Then the apts were broken out as the family moved to the suburbs (Queens, etc) and made into sep apts. Ours was on Essex, so I may be confusing the museum with my family history, lol. Sorry!
I love quiet neighborhoods so location is a plus! The kitchen is nice, appliances are ok, and plenty of natural light throughout the apartment. This railroad apartment was renovated which explains the narrow rooms. 👍🏻
Just getting a part of a place for 700 dollars a month is an accomplishment...I love NYC, but I would never love there again, because it is so expensive...
Also, this would work for a couple really well, and each would only have to pay $1100. Realistically, for 2020 large cities that's not very over-the-top. I live in SF and it's the same here or even worse than Manhattan. Quiet residential street in Astoria just up the block from the subway drew me in as well! Being from New York originally, that's very doable.
So do you have to walk through the 2 rooms to get to the back bedroom? If so, does that mean when the person in the back bedroom gets up they walk thru the other bedrooms to get to the kitchen and bath? I'm having g a hard time seeing the layout in my head.
according to my understanding , one room is independant and even has its main outdoor entrance , the other two rooms are I don't know the term but in french it's " chambres en enfilade " so yes one room will be the walk thru for the other one . I can see that working for really young siblings but in NO F* WAY for grown ups roomates ! this appartement needs to be marketed as a TWO bedroom appartement with a desk room or something .
It’s called a rail road apartment. In order to get to one room you have to pass through another. Having privacy in type of apartment is terrible. I never show these apartments to anyone outside of a couple or someone who wants a bedroom with office space or extra storage.
Yeah i think it means less privacy. I tried to allude to this as semi private cause they are walk thru rooms. Some consider this a “railroad” style apartment.
I'd like to know more about the private entrance to the third room - where's the door to the outside? And how many floors do you have to walk up to get to this apartment?
Horrible layout. 2 bedrooms with no privacy. I dont really mind the small bathroom next to the kitchen. I used to live in a three bedroom apt.with the bathroom next to kitchen. No problem at all. But bedrooms with no privacy? No way. This apt is for a single person or a couple. Not for two or three roommates.
@@rebeccawright1513 Depends on the house and what you are cooking. I live in a 150 year old house that was converted into 3 small apartments. Mine is 420 sq feet. My neighbor can tell when I make coffee. 😏
I lived In a similar apartment but to be honest the rent was so cheap I sucked it up. The place was even nicer and bigger than this, and it was in an upscale neighborhood. I was in my twenties, It was like $600 ish and that included my portion of utilities!
@@rebeccawright1513 , Wherever you live, the smell of food WILL be an issue, unless you live on the street. Even then, you will encounter the smell of food. What do you do to avoid the smell of food? That is my old neighborhood. I love this location I would move here if I was looking. Also if you want to go party. Three stops from where you are on there are to clubs la boom and there is one across the street before you get to the taco bell. If you go to 61 street up towards northern there was a hooka longue. There are good places including pizza hurt, best buy, Boston market and a Starbucks as well as a dollar tree literally 1 or 2 stops away. Great find my dude.
I currently use public transport (bus and train) for most of my travel. Hence I carry all my shopping home on public transport. I use a granny trolley to carry groceries to home.
Here 3:56 I have to say, I’d get rid of the 3rd room by removing that door and wall.... and I think it would be a good space to put a desk and and computer. I don’t know if what I’m saying makes sense.... In a way, it would be a nice way to expand the living room I guess. Either way, I don’t mind the layout that much. I really like having a lot of space and that apartment definitely have that.
That's called a railroad flat. Having your windows facing the air shaft gives you a great opportunity to hear every argument going on in two buildings, not just one, as well as little Joey's tuba lessons. I will say, it's much nicer than the one I lived in on East 93rd St in the early seventies...that was kind of rough....but my rent for the same basic set up was only $135.
This is going to sound insane to you, but we get so many requests for places like this from people who dont have more than a few outfits and an iphone. If your just starting out and live here for 1 year, and that leads to something else, it would have been worth it
This is what we used to call a railroad flat. The end room with its own entry was originally the Parlor. The family would eat in the kitchen. The center rooms were the bedrooms without privacy. Since I am an old time NY’er I would guess the rent in the early 1950’s was less than $50 per month. Definitely housing for the poor. I wish I had something for him to sell. He turns a definite minus into a plus. NYC public housing is so nice in comparison.
If you move the kitchen and bathroom to the living room. Make the kitchen into a bed room. Make the 3rd small bedroom into the living room. BAAM privacy problem solved. The kitchen would need mechanical ventilation since it wont have windows.
An amazing amount of space and a lot could be done with any of it. Yes the bathroom is small, but unless you like to soak in the tub till your skin 'prunes', how much time will you be spending in it? (it did have a tub didn't it?). That kitchen is great. And the wardrobe unit in the one bedroom looks to be pretty spacious, plus the mirrored doors let you know if your shoes match, etc. I was expecting, at best, a shoe box. Not so. And that neighborhood is beautiful as well. You're getting your money's worth with this one no matter how you cut it. I'd say 2 people and use the non bedroom as an office or studio. Great place!
I know Queens is legally part of NYC, but when most of us see NYC, we think of Manhattan. The location in Queens would work for an old geezer like me, quiet but convenient to shopping, and close to the subway for occasional visits to Manhattan - but it wouldn't work as well for the more socially active. I presume third floor, which is at the tolerable limit for old folks. Good-sized living room and kitchen. (How did you resist calling them "massive"?) Space for a kitchen table and/or added island. The main bedroom is also large, and a pair of those wardrobes would make an adequate substitute for the lack of a closet. However, those two walk-through rooms are not bedrooms. OK for temporary guests maybe, or for impoverished relatives who would otherwise be living in their cars, but I'd be embarrassed to charge rent for them. Stumbling past the occupants for a midnight trip to the potty would be annoying for all of us. This apartment would work nicely for a couple, using one of the walk-throughs as an office and possibly the other for an infant or as a hobby room. But for three productive adults? Nah.
It's open and spacey so what it comes down to is rather you want a smaller space for yourself. Or bigger with a room mate. Lots of room mates are not as clean as you are and not as quiet or as responsible. I'd opt for depending on myself in a smaller space.
That would be an excellent apartment!! And there's another Market I don't think you may have even thought of. But you know there are enough people who's had spouses pass away who could use this the price would be excellent the fact you get the grocery store would be excellent the fact you get the doctors would be excellent. It would be excellent for many many uses. The apartment itself looks wonderful! Because you know that the seniors are getting pushed out of the area. Another excellent showing keep up the great work.
Let's be honest though this would be real tight if you had three people, this is more of an apartment for two people especially because of the railroad apartment. At least the one at the very end can get out through a different exit without walking through the whole house
That's a good idea, that would make the larger middle room usable as a private bedroom, and the one closer to the living room an office, den, or dressing area for the bedroom in the middle.....yes, two bedrooms tops, unless you are very good and very young friends, or siblings with not much of a sexual life.....
Time for them to refurbish that cabinet under the sink in the bathroom. Take another look at it. I would have them fix that before you did an in person showing Cash. Would it make sense to mention if there is a laundry room in the building if there isn’t a washer/dryer in the apartment
Hi Cash! I'd say put (per person) in the description cuz it came off a little clickbaity & I know that wasn't the intention. Was expecting a studio and lots of places in outer boroughs are between 700-1k per person
I clicked because i was interested in seeing a 700 apartment couldn't believe it then i realized was per person lol
Where does Cash say that???? I KNEW it was too much to ask for real estate common sense in NYC
It could have only be a shared space.

Really. Along the west central coast of Florida, $700 gets you a skanky studio or a room in someone's home
All good appreciate your perspective on this definitely 700 per month isnt happening in a good way in NYC without a room mate
@@CashJordan , hope you understood I was supportive - agreeing with Michele that anyone familiar with rental markets in most populous areas realizes how high the prices are. Thanks for your enjoyable videos.
Definitely clickbait. I remember in 2000 when I lived on 127th and St Nicholas my rent for a two bedroom was $750!!
Good sized place for $2100. The subway access is key.
It’s actually 2100! It was pretty deceiving saying 700
It’s not false, it’s per person. Every youtuber does it
@@whatever5922 GTK - thanks
He didn’t lie he mentioned the total rent in the video. Reading is essential
I think the best thing about this apartment is the area it's in. Grocery store walking distance A+. If it had a 2nd bathroom or even a 1/2 bath, this apartment would be a winner.
Yep its so quiet
Did no one else mention having the bathroom in the corner of the kitchen? While the layout was terrible regardless of the price, the worst was preparing food 5 feet from the toilet.
Are using the toilet as conventional stove ???
@@zozo3dos No, but the conventional oven is only five feet from the toilet.
Many Older apartments have bathrooms off kitchen
2 roommates? No, unless they were a couple! Nobody would want another roommate tramping through their room to get to the bathroom or kitchen 🙄
$700 a piece for 3 people is pretty standard for Astoria. That's what you will pay in The Acropolis, and you will get your own private room and you're only 2 blocks from the subway.
Chicago needs this type of virtual tour.
Shut up chicago wack and over Rated. Yall have 100 shootings a week with only 2 people dien. No kind of accuracy
I'm so grateful that I live in Arizona!
Dear God,
Thank you for having arranging it so that my parents, brother and I moved to Arizona.
Hey thanks for pointing that out your absolutely right on the layout
In your headline you really need to put what the entire rent is and then during the time you're showing the apartment you can say what it is per person period makes it sound a little more honest and the little less clickbait
I am on disability and I never thought it would be possible to see a place that would be almost affordable, in a decent neighborhood. If I had a couple roommates, I would actually be able to afford it comfortably.😃 I live in a suburb of L.A. and it’s also quite expensive here.
I feel like this was at one time 2 apartments, and they combined them into one. Great amount of space, but an awkward layout.
Perhaps it very well may have been
No these are floor through railroad apartments. Door in kitchen or living room and one in the front room. They all were built like that. In some areas of Manhattan landlords cut them up into 2 apartments to get more rent.
@@nysavvy9241 they still have homes like this in Connecticut!
@@vanhughes Yes...and still have quite a few in the NYC boroughs. Nice when they are not split up.
@@vanhughes yes I live in CT and my first apartment was like this, it was just me though so no issues with privacy.
Yep not much privacy
Please don't stop making this videos even after 2-3 years.
Because I want to move to New York after 2 years 🙏
You got it!
@@CashJordan thanks
So much for early retirement! This is the burden of a national (international?) treasure!
Queens is SO far away from Manhattan. And who wants roommates? This is not a good deal at $700 per person, so how much is it--$2100 a month?! Way too much.
My boy key hand! I'm learning so much about NYC just from these videos
Glad you like them!
The street looks historical. Very peaceful...plants planted ...after working you can really relax...
Great point this apt is. It exactly comfortable for 3 people but it’s how you start off in nyc and chase your dream
I like to see more videos like this! These places would be really nice for those first time renters and those who want to move to NY!
2200/month is not 700/month..you want to be careful you dont post bait-and-switch advertisments
Yeah ... I also thought at first glance it was 700$ in ttl not per person . Misleading a lil .
When I feel bad about where I live, I watch these videos and feel much better. Terrible apt. layouts at terrible prices.
That neighborhood IS exciting to me!! It’s got Marshall’s, Home Depot AND it’s quiet. Love it!!
Perfect apartment for a couple or single person.
i think it would be great for a couple with a kid.
So how much is apt without a roommate, $1400 per month?? You advertised it as $700 per month, that's misleading
It is not bad, I would definitely live by myself! Love your videos man
Thanks! glad to hear
Yep great first nyc apartment
Come on, such a big apartment with a bathroom that small 🤦♂️
I never considered bathroom use to be a group activity, so the size wouldn't bother me. ;-)
It can't be helped in a lot of older buildings in nyc. Even if the landlord decided to renovate and extend the bathroom, they'd have to take space away from another room and raise the price considerably to cover the cost.
Lol
Bob Rogers you’re guy obviously size don’t matter to you!!!
Bob Rogers same..😂
I’ve see your posts on Instagram; so I was really excited to see this video. I live on the West Coast so I really don’t know much about NYC renting, but I like the openness of this space. And the windows! So much natural light is so nice.
Yep very large
Not great for sharing as you would have to stroll through the bedrooms of “roommates” to use the washroom or kitchen or living room. Cool place for a couple with home offices.
Best for a couple then
Honestly been binging these videos, and one thing I like is at least he’s honest about things being over priced lol. Also I love the pre apartment tours of the neighborhood. It actually helps sell the property that much more
I’m slightly confused (or I’m having a slow moment lol) basically the title was clickbait cause it’s only ≈ $700 a month if you get two roommates right?
Yeah. 3 people total
So I’m assuming it’s a $2200 apartment since he said $733 per person
Realtor hyperbole. Cash Jordan is truthful agent, but like a headline in a newspaper, the title is intended to catch the eye. In reality, the apartment is in Queens where rents aren't quite so high, and two of the "bedrooms" really aren't. If three people rented this unit, the division would be, like, 1400/400/400.
Yep its 2200 so 733 each. this shows on the screen in the apt and also i mention in the intro, but thanks for letting me know your thoughts on the title
Cash Jordan $2200 good price for this size..
Everyone keeps complaining about the small bathroom but at least it’s clean! In fact the whole apartment seemed clean and spacious. I would totally live here for the price!!
Exactly. The bathroom is only for 2 purposes. Shower and to relieve yourself.
Yep its clean to me that was a plus!
Everyone has their preferences. Some people like a lot of space in certain rooms. I am sure you have preferences too.
Hey appreciate your feedback!
I use to Live Around there in Astoria on Crescent my Girlfriend and I had the exact some apartment I miss it so much. Great area minutes away from the city and basically always quiet. If I ever move back to Queens I would definitely love this apartment
Crescent is gorgeous
I'm in LIC now and I LOVE it, far more than when I was in the East Village. More space and quiet!
Totally!
So its actually a 2.2k apartment rent. Shouldve said that from the start. Rooms are always cheaper than full apartments. 700 is still cheap for a room in NYC but given the circumstances its reasonable.
Yep def reasonable
Man this Apartment is a steal of a deal. This is a dream Apartment especially for the price and quiet Neighborhood which is definitely a Plus.
Yep very good rent that is a fact
Layout reminds me of a shotgun style house.
for sure its all in a row
Railroad apartment.
The term is a railroad style apt. However technically that refers to apartments on the Lower East Side of Manhattan from the turn of the (last) century. Back when Queens was a very, very far away place "in the country".
@@skontheroad2666 lol , :) thanks for the information nice to know.
Sorry!
Older people will love that, peaceful and quiet are a premium.
Nothing wrong with that!
You love your medicine cabinets. 😍
Yep its a thing now
I really loved Astoria because it was quiet! Quiet and cozy with grocery and cute restaurants near by.
I love quiet neighborhoods so location is a plus! The kitchen is nice, appliances are ok, and plenty of natural light throughout the apartment. This railroad apartment was renovated which explains the narrow rooms. 👍🏻
Yep super quiet neighborhood
Just getting a part of a place for 700 dollars a month is an accomplishment...I love NYC, but I would never love there again, because it is so expensive...
You had me at quiet residential street.
That’s a nice apartment to share with a roommate.
Totally! Very nice for 2 room mates
Gotta be kidding...it's a Railroad Flat! The worst of the old tenement layouts, with zero privacy - ridiculous $ for what it is.
@@jeffreytabois Exactly, one room as office and the other one as walking closet. Perfect for a couple.
SpecialK6077 yep this that old New York apartment layout didn’t know it still exist
Yeah i think it means less privacy. I tried to allude to this as semi private cause they are walk thru rooms. Some consider this a “railroad” style apartment.
You know what kills me the fact that if i am here, my roomates have to constantly walk through my room to get to their room
I'd like to know more about the private entrance to the third room - where's the door to the outside? And how many floors do you have to walk up to get to this apartment?
Great Q it goes to the hallway
Horrible layout. 2 bedrooms with no privacy. I dont really mind the small bathroom next to the kitchen. I used to live in a three bedroom apt.with the bathroom next to kitchen. No problem at all. But bedrooms with no privacy? No way.
This apt is for a single person or a couple. Not for two or three roommates.
Definitely a single person or couple would be more comfortable here

Great find my dude.

been waiting for an upload since i subbed! honestly i dont think $700/month in the title is clickbaity, roommates is what i expected w/this price
Glad you liked it!
I am so sad watching on the news about the crime in NYC.
Ohh nice idea
That's called a railroad flat. Having your windows facing the air shaft gives you a great opportunity to hear every argument going on in two buildings, not just one, as well as little Joey's tuba lessons. I will say, it's much nicer than the one I lived in on East 93rd St in the early seventies...that was kind of rough....but my rent for the same basic set up was only $135.
Not loving this for anyone but a couple or small family. Who wants to have a bedroom that your roommates have to walk through all the time.
This is going to sound insane to you, but we get so many requests for places like this from people who dont have more than a few outfits and an iphone. If your just starting out and live here for 1 year, and that leads to something else, it would have been worth it
@@CashJordan & if its Male and female, they end up hooking up and becoming a couple, lol
A Lie Is A Lie Is A Lie. If he tells the truth up front with no clickbait no one would complain
Totally its got a lot of space
Hey Cash…. You forgot the sink sprayer situation & also the wall in the kitchen that’s available for a flip up table 💕💕💕
Nah.
Hey bob thanks for the feedback yes i think you are right manhattan is what everyone thinks of - not marshall’s and home depot
"Impoverished relatives who would otherwise be living in their cars" LMAO!!!!!!
Come on fools... Everyone knows, tourists live in Manhattan. Real New Yorkers live in a borough at any age.
Still a beautiful area. Very interesting. Good lighting during the day. Bath cabinet needs minor touch up. Overall nice place.
👏🏾👏🏾definitely like this one..
One question is it 2,100 without roommates??🤔
3:41, it‘s actually 2,2k
Yeah its 2200 without room mates so 733 each
Thanks Tina!
It's open and spacey so what it comes down to is rather you want a smaller space for yourself. Or bigger with a room mate. Lots of room mates are not as clean as you are and not as quiet or as responsible. I'd opt for depending on myself in a smaller space.
$2100 for that size apartment is a steal in NYC
That would be an excellent apartment!! And there's another Market I don't think you may have even thought of. But you know there are enough people who's had spouses pass away who could use this the price would be excellent the fact you get the grocery store would be excellent the fact you get the doctors would be excellent. It would be excellent for many many uses. The apartment itself looks wonderful! Because you know that the seniors are getting pushed out of the area. Another excellent showing keep up the great work.
yep its a good one but true facts on the area thank yoU!
Oh i love that its really spacious and beautiful🙏
I do like that Jordan is honest and says things are overpriced in New York so people considering a change are well informed
You forgot to mention Chuck E. Cheese's! HUGE selling point.
Hahaha
Ahh so this one has laundry 1 block away. Yes good catch on that cabinet the apt is being rented as-is so i guess it is in its final condition
Hi Cash! I'd say put (per person) in the description cuz it came off a little clickbaity & I know that wasn't the intention. Was expecting a studio and lots of places in outer boroughs are between 700-1k per person
